    Totally agree with @angi3o‌

    A) There are legal ways to help with sickness which in turn helps with appetite. I don't believe anyone will condone marijuana during pregnancy.

    B) You're not going to get the kind of responses you want by putting no rude comments and that you don't need negative comments...that just rubs people the wrong way...sorry.

    C) Why would you even conceder this kind of thing during pregnancy?

  • It's actually legal in my state.
  • Simple question. I said no rude comments to keep snobs away, as in yourself.

  • @angi3o summed it up perfectly.

If you're having THAT much trouble dealing with morning sickness, stress, and insomnia, you need to speak with your OB/MW. Smoking anything during pregnancy is bad.

You did if you wanted the truth. Sorry we give honest opinions!
  • Well then don't
Comment on this post. Pretty simple.
  • And for everyone who knows everything I haven't smoke since I found out. Simple question and all you know it alls do absolutely nothing for sites like this.
  • Well then don't
Comment on this post. Pretty simple.

It's the internet, this is a public site, anyone can comment on anything they would like. I don't see how anyone was rude or snobbish...pretty simple.
  • Well good job at not smoking since finding out you're pregnant! =D>
Yeah you asked a simple question, you got simple, honest answers of why would you contemplate smoking anything while pregnant...didn't know that was so mean.
  • @fourthtimesacharm‌ I just noticed that as well...sounds kinda fishy!
  • I don't understand, you just posted an "any guesses" ultrasound pic minutes ago and you said you felt better and your symptoms were gone. Why would you even consider smoking pot and using pg symptoms as your reason for it if you aren't even having symptoms?

Was just noticing the same thing!

I'm not going to say I'm against smokinh, however I am against it while pregnant! You can say you haven't done it since BFP all you want, but honestly I don't believe you.

Most studies claiming all negative effects are conducted by doctors who tend to air (err?) on the side of caution, and most studies claiming only benefits are done by pot heads (I use the term lovingly). All the reasons you stated for smoking (anxiety, ms, insomnia) would benefit you, while all the negatives effect your baby. It seems kind of selfish.

This! Plus it seems like you're fishing for a reason to smoke since right after this post about all these symptoms, you started a guess what sex my baby is post with almost all symptoms gone...hmmm...
    :-?

I was just thinking the same thing!

I believe OP just wants to get high and is looking for an excuse.

  • You should go for it! (Is that the response you are looking for?)
  • Okay smoking anything while pregnant is just stupid.

Does marijuana have a purpose as a medical treatment, yes it certainly does. No doctor will prescribe smoking it to alleviate your symptoms. In cases of ladies suffering from HG in a state where marijuana is legal a doctor MIGHT prescribe a tincture but, that is doubtful given the current FDA approved treatments are effective.
  • Trolls are so lame. Move along with this ridiculousness.
  • Wow lots of controversy I am a fellow pothead myself but stopped smoking pot once I found out I was pregnant.  I don't know how anyone could even enjoy the high knowing that they are pregnant and possibly damaging their baby.  I would feel so guilty that I wouldn't even be able to enjoy the effects of the weed.  I am Pro-Marijuana but not during pregnancy.

P.S. If it's legal in OP's state and she's in the US, then 50/50 chance that the lovely PNW is seriously representin' in the crazy posters department today. Sheesh.

Hey, you leave Oregon out of this. We haven't done anything.
Yet...measure 91 is a pretty heated one on the ballet this year!

I beleive the OP did say it was legal in her state, I beleive that Colorado and Washington are currently the only two states with legalization of recreational pot, though many others, oregon included have legal medical marijuana laws in place.

That said, I think a PP mentioned this already but cigarettes and alcohol are legal in all 50 us states and many other nations yet it's generally understood that abstaining from these during pregnancy is the safest and healthiest option, why would t marijuana be the same regardless of legality?
