    I have no idea what we're going to end up naming this kid. DH is set on Peyton Noelle. I don't hate Peyton, I just don't feel like you hear the name and KNOW she's a girl. My first choice is Violet Noelle. He's not sold on it because it's a color but says he'll think about it. I tried to tell him a violet is a flower but he's not convinced. Just wish we could make a decision and stick with it.

    Random--

    One of my friends on FB usually posts hot topic stuff and I actually enjoy reading his posts because he and his FB friends actually discuss the topics with little to no name calling and all with fairly logical reasons.  Except when it comes to cats.  My friend HATES cats and it drives me INSANE that all of his arguments supposedly against cats and why dogs are clearly better could be arguments against dogs, too.

    Examples--

    >He says cats spread disease in their feces.  (Uhh EVERY animal is capable of doing so, including humans.)
    >Cat populations have to be greatly reduced because their hunting decimates populations of other animals.  (Ok, MAYBE true, but Europe tried that back in the 14th century and the continent was overrun by rodents and then the bubonic plague.  Also, dogs will hunt, too, given lack of scavenging options and some are even trained to help assist in hunting through tracking and retrieval.)
    >Spaying and neutering ALL cats so their population dies out is the only solution.  (Ok, lolwut.  The guy everyone thinks is a hippie just called for exterminating a whole species of animal.  Also, see my previous rebuttal about Europe and the plague...)
    >Cats are obnoxious.  (Well, yeah.  So are people.  And barking dogs.  Your point?)

    Right now, he's also on a kick that feral cats are responsible for the sea otter population dropping in the PNW.  I can't prove or disprove that, but I'd LOVE to have problems that have a single cause.  haha.  I also pointed out (since I LOVE defending cats in this illogical debate) that feral cats are less likely to attack humans than feral or even owned dogs.  No response this time around.

    Idk why, but I just had brain telling me to type this out, so hooray post like 208023984 on the random thread.  lol.  It's certainly random compared to a lot of the stuff on the thread.  haha.

    Normally just a lurker- FTM, boy due jan 11,2015

    Usually I just lurk around the Jan15 board but wanted to see what the story was with the July14 board. If you haven't read it, you should! July14 is crazy weird drama. So I read the board then told my DH all about it, he was blown away by the craziness. Then went to sleep, big mistake. I had nightmares all night about my MIL being a catfish on the Jan15 board to see what I wrote about her. In my dream she was like 3 different people on the board and was PM'ing with Stargirl on the regular. I caught her and OMG she was pissed.
    I think tonight before bed I need to think about flowers and donuts.

    Just throwing this out there... Late to the party, but I actually did follow the shitshow that went down with the May15 Mod who stole the money...

    She had originally posted about her MIL agreeing to buy all of their Pottery Barn nursery furniture, to the tune of several thousand dollars, but she wasn't going to buy the glider as well. And the mod was so pissed that now they would have to buy the glider so that everything would match. It was basically a little diva rant, and when someone called her on being selfish, all the regs jump down their throat and defended the princess. It was pretty disgusting, and just shows the power of a popular reg.

    Then one of the moms had a late term loss (or newborn preemie? Not sure), and everyone rallied to raise money to donate to March of Dimes. The mod collected the money, and kept making excuses for why she hadn't donated it yet. And then lied and said she had donated it when some people called her out on it, and created a fake donation form using Photoshop. But it was discovered that it was fake, and the mod disappeared and was never heard from again as far as I know. It can be assumed she spent the money on something like the glider, but from what I read back in the day, there was no proof that that's what it was used for. Just further proof of what kind of a heinous person this woman was.

    @ghostof5letters‌ That is so depressing. Has anyone been in contact with her to say she's been outed -- like her, and not her AE? I'm curious about the 'tangled tits.' Like, how young is she? And I'm really glad I missed the parrot toilet thing. I have a parrot I love and that was always a huge fear of mine. I want to scold her so badly!
    I'm sorry, just seeing this (I'm on a business trip). 

    Yes, I texted her, and shockingly she responded. Then I chatted with her briefly, refused to identify myself (I was using my real cell number), and got her to respond to Litera. Litera (playing good cop), got her to confess to just about everything and very briefly lighten the security up on her Facebook account (which is probably fake). 

    Coincidentally, when Litera downloaded the text/calling app for her phone it was the SAME app that the catfish was using and when her phone number was typed in, her real profile showed up and it was screen shotted. Catfish immediately changed her name and profile picture, but it was already screen shot. 

    The parakeet actually died in the toilet and she was offended that I asked her if it was actually true. Like, that's the line in the sand she draws. 

    She's early 20's young. 

    I deleted all my screen shots from my phone but I can grab them back from FB, I just want to edit to remove phone numbers showing at the top of my iPhone screen. 

    I'm really over it all, but I just didn't want to leave you hanging. 

    Oh, and Catfish claims she normally catfishes on boy band fan sites. I can't remember which one. I'd have to go back and look.

    Not really. It wasn't much of a confession (it's not like she told us all of the other schemes she's currently doing) and the picture from her quickly screen shot profile (before she realized we screen shot the app). matched some other stuff we pulled up. Basically her "wife" was actually her, and Jen (her bump persona) was completely fabricated. 

    I don't think she gives a shit that she was caught - she played all sad and upset for losing friendships blah blah blah. And I totally think she'll do it again and that she runs multiple catfishes at the same time, and probably here. 

    But I believe her self loathing, and I believe her name and pictures were actually her. The coincidence of downloading the exact same texting app to disguise Litera's phone number is the only reason I believe anything.

    Hahaha.  At this point, he tried arguing that the amount of people with cat allergies means they're not meant to be companion animals.  Chalk up another argument that is true for dogs.  I know plenty of people with dog allergies.  I guess they're not companion animals, either...

    I feel like I'm losing brain cells reading the supposed arguments against cats...  hahahahahaha

    ETA: I'm just going to assume you mean Ebola and to answer your question- no I'm not too worried about it. I do worry about Enterovirus D-68 sometimes.
