Coming Over From TTCAL

Hi! I'm BookishMomma, or just Bookish. I've been around these parts before (I even designed the siggy badge for the December PGAL mamas in a spurt of blind optimism). But I've never gotten to stay for the full 40 weeks. This time, I am hoping & praying I get to stick around.

My TTC history is in my siggy, but for those who are mobile, here's a summary: I had DS in July 2011, with no issues related to his conception or the pregnancy. We started TTC #2 in September 2013 and, since then, I've had 3 losses, the most recent of which ended in a D&C on May 1 at 9 weeks, after the baby's heart stopped due to a chromosomal abnormality (45x). We were benched for a couple of months after that, during which time my RE spotted retained tissue in my uterus during a hysteroscopy. That meant another surgery, hormone therapy, and more time on the bench. Finally, this month, we were given the green light to try again. We decoded to give it one last shot our own one before moving on to meds and IUI.

I'm calling this our Hail Mary Pass BFP. I got a squinter BFP yesterday and a show-the-husband-worthy BFP today, at 10dpo. I'll go in for betas on Tues. and Thurs. I don't know what will happen tomorrow or next week or next month. I know too well that I could be back on TTCAL in the blink of an eye. But today I am going to be hopeful. And that means saying hello to new and old friends here.

To my TTCAL lovelies: I am so grateful for all of you. I cannot imagine how I would have survived the last year without your kindness and humor to help me through. I hope to see many of you over here soon.
