    Hi Ladies,

Hope you are all doing well. GL to everyone. Looks like I'm the first to reply so I'll check back in later to see everyone's updates!

AFM: My ER is tomorrow morning at 11AM. Yesterday, I took a shot of Ganirelix, as well as a large dose of Follistim and two doses of Ovidrel, plus started a Z Pack. I feel super sick today! Hope this goes away before tomorrow.

Also, I found out yesterday that my P4 is getting too high. It's 1.9. So, they will not do a transfer :( I suppose that's a good thing. I don't think I will get a ton of eggs and I certainly don't want to waste them if my body isn't ready. So, it's a freeze all for me. As of yesterday, I had 5 20mm follies and 3-4 that were 14-16. I really hope they catch up and I can get a few more mature eggs retrieved.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

QOTD: I love Key West and would totally live there.

    <3 Rebecca

  • Good morning Acorns!

@lilycakes78 - Good luck tomorrow! We will be thinking of you. KUP So sorry to hear you have to do a freeze all. We are actually in the same boat, and I know how disappointing that is.

AFM - I had my last monitoring appointment yesterday and last stim shots last night. We are triggering tonight & tomorrow morning & ER is scheduled for bright and early Saturday morning. Looks like we are going to have lots of follies so that is good! Unfortunately we are also doing a freeze all because my E2 levels were over 5,000 yesterday, and I am at risk for OHSS. We were pretty bummed yesterday when we found out, but handling it better today because I know it will give us the best chances and we certainly wouldn't want to put any embies in danger by putting them back in there in bad conditions.

QOTD: If I could live anywhere in the world, I would probably live in Hawaii. Love the sun and the beach and that is sounding really nice right now. :)
    Me - 29
    DH - 30, MFI - currently on clomid/vitamins

    TTC #1 since September 2013
May 2014 - diagnosed with MFI
July 2014 - HSG - possible blocked left tube
August 2014 - Hysteroscopy/Laparoscopy -  diverticulum on left tube but appears to be open and functioning
    IVF/ICSI #1 - starting stims 10/3, ER 10/18 - Freeze all due to high E2 & risk of OHSS - 14R/11Fertilized/5Frozen
    FET #1: expected 11/14

  • Hi Acorns!

My ER was Monday and we got 38 eggs, 28 were mature and 27 fertilized normally so now we wait until Sunday for an update on how many made it to blast.  I'm still feeling super bloated but maybe a tiny bit better today.  I'm hoping this bloat goes away soon.

We are in a banking program because we haven't had great results from the first two cycles we did.  Hopefully, we will have enough make it to blast that this will be our last cycle.  That would be great!  We won't get the PGD results until 3 November though so we will have to wait until we see how many we have before we decide what the next step is.

QOTW:  I would also choose Hawaii.  It is definitely my favorite place but also so expensive to get to from the east coast so I have only been twice (once for work and once for our honeymoon).

    IVF/ICSI #2 (Antagonist) - Feb 2014 - 23R, 11M, 10F, 1 penguin (3BB) - Another Normal!

    FET#3 - February 1, 2015, Prep begins 1/13

    All Welcome!

  • @lilycakes78 Sorry for the freeze all. I hope you're embie(s) will nestle right in for the FET.

@aggiejess2007 RE's seem to have different levels of concern about OHSS. My doc seems rather unconcerned about it, though he said I would probably have mild to moderate OHSS. He also said there is no evidence that drinking sports drinks actually helps with OHSS. I get the impression that he thinks there is nothing I can do to prevent it besides take my meds. Cabergoline is only effective in reducing the chance of early-onset OHSS though.

    AFM...
First, thanks for all the well wishes and congrats. I'm finally feeling well enough to interact with people.

Today is my first day of greatly reduced meds. All I have left are low-dose aspirin, vitamins, and cabergoline. I'm also feeling a lot better and having an easier time breathing. I kind of hope that my hormone levels are still high enough on Saturday's labs so I can stay off meds. I don't *think* estrogen and progesterone increase my chance of late-onset OHSS (can you tell I'm paranoid?).

I'm staying home today yet, but I might go to work for part of the day tomorrow. I'm really leery of aggravating yucky feelings again. I've found that white soda, Chinese food, and kosher baby dills help with nausea. Besides all that, modified bed rest seems to be the best thing I can do to feel human again.

    I guess I'm 2dp5dt. That's weird.

QOTD: I like the idea of mountains and oceans nearby, so maybe the East Coast around Virginia/Maryland or Massachusetts/New Hampshire. Keep me away from the big cities!

  • Still stimming. I had 17 follicles yesterday. They are taking it slow though and it could be a few more days before I get to take the trigger shot. I'm getting tired of waking up each morning at 4:45 a.m. to do my daily monitoring. I think that's the worse part of it all! I'll know more about my progress later today.

QOTD: Def choose Hawaii too. We went there for our honeymoon and loved it.
  • @tweetyknicks - So glad to hear you are feeling better! That's interesting to hear about the sports drinks not helping much. Haha I am currently working on chugging a Gatorade right now, so maybe I will take it down a notch :) I'm glad to know there is medicine to take, too, if needed. Hope you keep feeling better!

  • Congrats @erbear‌ !!!!

    Good luck tomorrow @LillyCakes‌78!!

@CallaLily30‌ congrats on all of your eggs, that's a great number! FX for a great fert report :)

Glad that you are feeling better @tweetyknicks‌

As for me I am 3dp5dt. And the urge to POAS is killing me. I know it's waaaayyyy too soon. I did test out the trigger so I do know that is out of my system. Now it's just distracting myself for the next 9 tortuous days. Working this weekend will help and then I am on vacation for 9 days with hubby so that will help too.

I really love living in Michigan. I love getting to experience all of the seasons and everything this beautiful state has to offer. I would probably move more north, towards Traverse City.

    Married 12/4/12

  • @lilcakes78 Good luck tomorrow!

    @aggiejess207 Good luck on Saturday!

@callalily30 Great results, and hopefully the last time you'll have to go through an ER. Good luck!

@tweetyknicks So glad you're starting to feel better. You've had it rough! Hopefully there's a BFP at the end of this.

@aliciafiggy That's a great number of follicles. That's really early for monitoring. Yikes!!

@futuremrsbaldwin2012 The POAS urge is the so awful! Good luck!

On day 5 of stims. I have a monitoring appointment tomorrow and I'm a bit petrified. Last cycle I could definitely feel something brewing, but this time around I just feel bloated. My headaches have actually started to go away, which is good, but I'm also spotting some (sorry, TMI). My husband and I talked about it last night, and even thought we're just starting, neither of us feel super great about this cycle. I can't explain why. It could just be that we're so used to disappointment that it's easy to assume the worse. Last cycle we were so positive, but unfortunately the pregnancy test wasn't.

QOTW: If I could live anywhere, I think I'd want to live in Nantucket or somewhere along the ocean. Keep in mind I've never been to Nantucket, but I have an obsession with Elin Hildenbrand books, so I would love to live there.
    TTC since 11/09
    me: 39 DH: 36

    October 2014 IVF (micro-lupron protocol: mircrolupron, Menopur, Follistim, dexamethasone): 8 eggs, 4 mature, 3 fertilized w/ICSI; 3 transferred day 3 = BFP! Beta 1=121; Beta 2=287; Beta 3 =678. Miscarriage @ 8w2d. :(
  • Hi everyone :)
Early this morning or last yesterday night ;) 0050 I did my trigger shot of HCG. Went to monitoring this am and tomorrow am scheduled for my Retrieval...yay ....nervous and excited :)

I have a two hour drive to get there (Basking Ridge, NJ). I live in NE PA. Good thing I don't have to be there until 11am. Will still probably leave the house around 8am, and it will be my fastest morning ever since everything is prohibited tomorrow lol ie- no food or drinks, no hairspray, no makeup, no contact lenses etc lol really though...no makeup? I hate to meet these ppl for the first time and not have makeup on. grr

On a more serious note- I applied to get an FMLA from work today since I will me missing at least two more days of work for this adventure. I'd hate to lose my job in the process, so better safe than sorry and cover my butt.

For the first time this whole cycle, I feel 'discomfort', like period cramps in my belly and lower back. Its approx 12 hours after my trigger shot. Has anyone else experienced this? My nurse will be calling me later I think, so when she does, I will definitely ask, however at this point there is probably nothing that I can do as for meds or comfort....don't want to hurt my eggs....maybe a warm bath later on will help....let me know if you have any other suggestions.

    Thank you!
Good luck and positive thoughts out to everyone!!!!

  • Happy Thursday Acorns! Hope everyone is hanging in there!

@lilycakes78‌ & @aggiejess2007‌ good luck at your ER this weekend!

@CallaLily30‌ great ER results and FX!

@tweetyknicks‌ thanks for the check in and positive thoughts that you keep improving!

    @aliciafiggy‌ & @saratrying‌ good progess so far...hang in there!

    @FutureMrsBaldwin2012‌ everything crossed for you!

AFM....today is day 10 of stims and I have my next check in tomorrow morning. At Wednesday morning's appointment, my estrogen finally shot up and my ovaries have gotten the message. I now have 5 follicles that are good candidates with no problematic lead follicle. They are all close together. On Monday morning, the RE said he would he happy if we got 4 eggs so this is really good news that we could get 5+. I will know more tomorrow, but ER is now projected for Sunday or Monday. Started Ganirelex this morning.

I have bags under my eyes from being so tired. Planning to take it easy tomorrow and this weekend.

QOTD: I love living here in Texas, so I would choose a second vacation home in France. Either wine country or south of France. I'll take either.

*** siggy warning- losses mentioned- everyone welcome *****

  • oops- keep forgetting the fun question ;)

If I could live somewhere else - it would be St. Petersburg, Russia. The most beautiful city in the world. The cultural capitol of Russia. This is where my family is and where love is and where my souls is at peace...buut where money is not lol. So this is my answer if money was not an issue ;)
  • Hello Acorns!

I am 5dp3dt and trying not to over analyze every little thibg but it's too hard not to! Beta is next Friday the 24th but I'll test the night before to have an idea of what to expect.

QOTD I think if I could live anywhere else it would probably be somewhere like Utah. I read a couple of blogs from people who live there and it just looks gorgeous!
  • Baseline was yesterday, which went well as far as I know. Haven't heard anything from my clinic yet, but I saw the images of my ovaries and the looked boring, so I'm taking that as a good sign. I will start stims Saturday, 10/18. Time still seems to drag so I imagine the 2WW will suck. Oh well. QOTD: this sounds corny, but I love where I live right now. If I could change anything though, it would be two things: one, we'd have a place in the country, and two: I would like to shorten winter to 1 month. Say, 6 months of summer, 3 months of fall, 2 of spring, and one of winter. Haha! (I live in Wisconsin and love the change of seasons, but I have my favorite and it's NOT winter!)

  • @katemonster1 Thanks!  I think it's harder this time because we aren't telling anyone. Last time I had the support of my close friends, but this time we decided not to say anything. I took a little "me time" this morning and I realize I need to remember to focus on the positive.

  • @Sunny B I have everything crossed for you!!!!! Congrats on being PUPO @LynnLee7‌ !! @katemonster1‌ we aren't going anywhere, just a staycation to keep us distracted until beta :)
Such a good idea! Enjoy :)
    TTC since May 2012

DX: MFI-Very Low Count, I have Hashimotos.
IVF prep September 2013 cancelled due to Ovarian Cyst
    IVF #1 October 2013 Antagonistic Protocol with ICSI  ER 10/31/13 (18R 16M 11F- 6 blasts to freeze)

FET scheduled for July 8. Delayed due to a crazy high TSH (it had been under control for YEARS!)
    FET #1 8/5/14 sET BFN

    All welcome!
  • I agree with you @erbear84 about POAS! Resist! By the way, excited for you about your BFP!

I am on Lupron and waiting for AF--I am glad to be busy now to distract me from the wait!  If AF hasn't shown up by early next week, I will have to call the nurse and let them know. I am getting a good deal of Lupron headaches, which are just a reminder of the many sort of yucky feeling days ahead. I know it will all be worth it if it works. Unfortunately, DH is not great with the whole sympathy thing, so I mostly have to whine a little to my girlfriends and then suck it up!

QOTD: I'm from Colorado; I'd move back there in a second and hope to in the next 5-10 years (after we're done using MA for fertility coverage and free child care from our family)!
Me: 28, no diagnosis  DH: 33, MFI, severely low morphology, diagnosed 3/14
    IVF #1: May/June 2014: 10R/8F, 1 morula transferred = BFN, nothing to freeze.
    IVF #2: July/August 2014: 18R/12M/8F, 2 blastocysts transferred = BFN, nothing to freeze.
    IVF #3: October/November 2014: 22R/17M/15F, 2 early blastocysts transferred = BFN, nothing to freeze.

  • I'm well into stimming now (day 5) for IVF #2 and added Menopur today. I don't know my ER date but I know my RE wanted to have me stim for a much shorter period, so I think ER could be next week.

QOTD: I would love to move back to Maui. I moved there after college just for fun. The part that I disliked (and reason why I moved back) was because I could only fly back 1-2x a year. So I really missed a lot of stuff like birthdays, weddings, holidays with family and stuff. But I loved everything about the island, it was the perfect place for me.
  • Hi Everyone!

Still trucking along with my FET prep.  I'm taking DelEstrogen IM shots every 3 days and so far so good.  I have my first ultrasound on 10/23 to check my lining.

    QOTW:  PARIS!

    MOVING TO ADOPTION!

  • Best of luck to everyone. Hope we start to get good results over the next few days!

We are in the wait period now. Officially find out the 27th, but I will test before then. After the news yesterday of none going to freeze we are overall pessimistic. This is our second round of IVF. We decided it would be our last (I'm 38). We talked a lot about adoption, approach, fears etc. I think it's our way of protecting ourselves.

QOTW: somewhere down south. I want to get away from the Midwest winters.

Ahhh congrats @Sunny B‌ !!! Fx for doubling.

Don't make us wait until Monday for your ER update @aliciafiggy‌! :)

Quick update: still making great progress with the 5 good follicle candidates! I'm so happy about this and there is a chance for a 6th to make the cut. Given I only have 8-9 follicles total, this is so great. One more ultrasound tomorrow morning and expect to trigger tomorrow night for ER Monday morning.

Thinking of all you Acorns this weekend!
