So I'm officially 2 weeks into my third trimester, and as a FTM I am really surprised by how much of a difference I'm feeling between 27 weeks and 29 weeks!
27 weeks: I felt fine, almost normal again, except for the baby kicking and rolling like crazy.
29 weeks: UGH
- Belly has really grown
- Insomnia because I CANNOT get comfortable
- Slight case of restless legs if I sit for too long
- Feels like I pulled the tendons on the insides of my vagina so it sort of hurts to walk
- Hormone resurgence, feeling moody and slightly irrational again (probably because of the LACK OF SLEEP)
And the scariest for me:
- Occasional bouts of dizziness
I keep worrying about developing preeclampsia (even though I don't have the typical warning signs - not obese, no family history, eat well)...
Do you think it's a good idea to buy a blood pressure cuff? That way I can take my blood pressure manually at home every time I'm worried, and I saw they're only $22 at the local drugstore.
Also I will VERY SOON be pushing out a tiny baby girl into the world, and I will have to take care of her FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE. Oh, man.
Anyone else noticing changes?
Re: Third trimester grouches!
*********************************************************
27 weeks today. Lately, I am ready to cry some days, though, because I had kept my weight gain in check up until about a week/week and a half ago, then boom - it just jumped about 5 pounds (I'm starting off overweight & have been trying to keep total weight gain to about 20 or max 25#, but that feels like it just went out the window!!)
'm feeling extra stabby with DH lately, because I swear he & our dog are trying to push me out of bed each night. Every time I come back to bed during my lovely "gotta go pee every 2 hours at night" routine, I SWEAR they've inched over closer to my side. GRRRRR!!!!
I'm way uncomfortable when I sleep also. And super cranky. @bkmama-I'm in a 3rd floor walk up and I've had issues with the stairs for months now. Takes all my breath away!
I'm super cranky these last few days because of this cold though. Whatever you do, don't get sick.
Hey guess what's for dinner tonight? Chili! As per DH's request. I made it for him but I think I'm going to have cereal instead.
I started taking nexium and it has been a lifesaver. If I had a match, I am pretty sure I could breath fire.
I am at a work conference all week and sitting all day has been killing me this week. We are in a gorgeous location though and when one of my coworkers was trying to find someone to take a walk with her by the lake, I jumped at the chance.
Smells give me heartburn -_-
@-)
But then, the baby just started kicking so hard in one spot over and over and I pushed back at her and we had a little game going. And it made me so happy and excited. And I forgot about my heartburn and my cold for 3 whole minutes
