@Hufflepuff42 I did read that post. I understand people have it worse than me. And I am very lucky bc I've been to a doc who said I couldn't get pregnant, I did have a miscarriage and now I have a healthy baby. I understand why people are enraged at the post of me complaining. But I have a right to complain. I have a right to not like it at the moment. And I'm I said in an earlier comment that if it offended them that much to just keep scrolling. And I don't feel like I have anything to be sorry for because I was posting my opinion and what i was going through. I'm just waiting on the mod to delete my account so no more of these women get offended. And I'm sorry for any of the women who have to constantly worry about their baby comin out healthy. That's not what I was getting at all. So I do have my "perspective"
I don't care how you respond. You're not the only one who makes comments like that. I just feel people are taking it way out of context. That's all
@boatsbell - Take my advice from earlier and stay off the board until your account has been deleted. I get that you want to attempt at apologize and give more of your perspective. In reality you could have provided this "persepective" more eloquently in your initial or follow up response versus calling the people you are requesting support from names (that wasn't very constructive).
Also I literally feel like shit right now but I am not saying I am "so over it" or want the baby to be here soon. There is a difference in the context of your compliant and mine....which is why my complaining is not getting these other ladies upset. (This also goes back to OP as well).
The other difference is I am doing something about how awful I feel (PT, phone calls to the OB, rest, etc). Whereas this proactive action is not evident in yours or OP'S initial or subsequent comments.
We all can bitch and know there might be repercussions whereas you and OP are coming across saying you are ENTITLED to bitch without repercussions.
Omg ok so actually, I just had a business trip to Chicago. And all I wanted was deep dish. Like I needed deep dish so bad. And I got none.
So I thought nbd I'll get some from somewhere back home.....only to discover, no one here makes deep dish! NO ONE!
@LaxMOM44 - you do know that several pizzerias have "to go" versions of their pizza that can fly home with you and you can bake them. Or I have see plenty of people take a fresh pizza through security.
ETA - couple even have overnight shipping & you literally through it in your oven

You can have my skin if you mail me a pizza.
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
I am so tired of opening threads to read and reading about discomfort.
Honey, I work on my feet for 9 hours a day on concrete floors in a bakery with a super hot oven and I suck it up, buttercup. I am ALWAYS uncomfortable. It's part of pregnancy.....
@Hufflepuff42 and @bowlwoman, thanks for redeeming this thread by making WoT references. YAY! Although I always thought Lanfear's love for Rand was weird. Yeah, he's your love reincarnated, but he's in the body of a teenaged boy. Creeper.

@leosmom25 - you can probably order directly from Giorodano (sp), Lou Malnati, or Gino. One of my old coworkers had Lou Malnati shipped to him at college.

Weird coincidence- I've never gotten around to reading WoT but at dinner the other night my brother was talking about them making the series into movies and apparently my dad grew up with the author (he sadly died a few years ago). I had never heard of them but was told to read them. Anyways, I just came by bc I heard there was pizza...

@amedberry, so cool that your dad knew Robert Jordan!
I literally grew up reading the books -- started them when I was about 14.
The series is a HUGE time commitment, and several books, from about book 8 on, are pretty slow. I find the series picked up again toward the end, though. Interesting thing -- Jordan died before finishing the series, and another author was brought in to finish it from extensive notes. Brandon Sanderson did a great job bringing the series to a satisfying conclusion, IMO.
I always say that I'm afraid George RR Martin is going to "Jordan it," meaning he'll die before finishing A Song of Ice and Fire. (The Game of Thrones series) :P

If your dad grew up with Robert Jordan you are officially cool in my book.

I started reading the books right after book 8 came out in paperback, so all my waiting was with the lesser half of the series. Still a good read, and I did enjoy the revigoration that Brandon Sanderson brought at the end. I also really enjoyed Sanderson's Mistborn series, but I haven't gotten past the first half of The Way of Kings. Maybe I'll pick it back up soon.
And totally agree about Martin pulling a Jordan. IMO, Martin should have finished the series before HBO picked it up because it's just slowing down the series completion even more.
I haven't started Way of Kings. My H said it was great. I love a good series because of the complex plot and character development, but I hate the wait between books!
Rothfuss is the current focus of much of my frustration. The Name of the Wind is probably one of my top 5 fantasy favorites. It's been 3 years since the 2nd book came out, and instead of an actual book, he's putting out some short story that is less than 200 pages and amazon wants $10 for it? Seriously? ANNOYED.

It was totally ok though cuz she made herself look like a teenager too ... Right?

Yeah, but then Rand gets a harem. Who is creepier here?

But, but, but...they were bonded and knew what was happening regardless of who was in the tent. They were sisters and stuff!

Yeah, definitely an interesting twist there...
Ack! Im only on book 5 (I started the series a few months ago) so I'm I gonna run away before any more spoilers lol
@sysakbaby ACK! Sorry, I thought everyone was all finished with the series. No more plot related points. I'm just glad I didn't post my complaint about the main ending scene in the last book.

I am SO sorry!!!!!
No worries! Spoilers don't bother me that much, I'm still going to read it. Plus from Minn's sight I already knew Rand would have three women so no big deal.
I also know how the Aiel feel about sharing men so also not a big surprise lol.
I would hate to spoil anything for you, sysakbaby! Sorry! Glad you're at book 5 -- I am sure there have been several mentions of Min's viewings by now at least!

Ok, yeah. So, I spoiled a little bit with the bonding, but other than that it was pretty much fair game. Whew.
Im crazy curious now about how that comes about. I'll just have to wait. I want to finish the books before I return from maternity leave, but who knows how much reading I'll do when I'm exhausted with a newborn.

I bought TEotW as an ebook (my paperbacks have long given up the ghost in terms of the binding holding together), and I keep thinking I should start a reread.
