HALP! LO is refusing bottles

So i breastfeed. Once upon a time i combo fed until i got the hang of BFing, and then still FF when we were out and about and i was too self conscious to BF. well Its been a good month or two since LO has had a bottle since I kick ass at BFing now. (thats what i told myself to keep my spirits up lol lame i know)

so now LO is refusing bottles. Ive tried bottles with BM, and bottles with formula! and I've tried for three days now. Its freaking me out since i go back to work in a month! i know eventually hell take it once he's hungry enough, but i don't want him to get to def con 1 at the sitters!!

any ideas? please. this mama is worried BIG time

ETA to address that he won't even try and suck and give up. the second i put the nipple to his lips he freaks out and pushes it away or shakes his head and won't let me put the bottle in his mouth. I've even tried sugar water on the nipple. nada. he hates it.

Maybe try introducing the bottle mid feed? Or first thing in the morning when LO is hungriest and less likely to care about the source of food?

Let someone else try a bottle with him. He knows you have the real stuff right there , so why take a bottle?

I've been having the same issue. Logan will only play with a bottle, and maybe get an ounce or two out of it, no matter who gives it to him. He better figure it out soon, because he's spending the weekend at MIL's house.

How about trying a sippy cup? He may just be ready for the next thing.

@noethola i do have a sippy cup we've used once. he did okay with it. but thats a good idea. ill try that today!

@magentawarped right!? LO is going to be pissed when I'm not around all of the sudden with his milk lol

@versed @dreamingbabies i didn't think to do that. ill try when the BF gets home from work. while I'm making dinner.

thanks for the ideas. and I'm glad to know Charly isn't the only one refusing, its a little comforting. I'm just worried the sitter is going to have a too rough of time dealing with a baby having separation anxiety AND not wanting to take a bottle. >.<
