high risk- diabetes

Hi ladies. I was diagnosed with diabetes at six weeks and already prior diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I will have to go to fetal monitoring twice a week starting at 32weeks. I was curious how long do they typically monitor you? Thanks for any help!!

Hi there I too was diagnosed and hospitalized with diabetes at six weeks. Did they tell you what type of diabetes you have? I had never shown any signs of diabetes before until I became pregnant and I got very thirsty it is been very hard for me with my new diagnosis and my first pregnancy all happening at once. I am now 12 weeks along

Hi @lizzyrae78‌ - I did not know about the diabetes until after I found out I was pregnant and I don't know which diabetes. I assumed type 2. I met with a dietician to alter my eating and carb intakes. Each day has its ups and downs. I lost 20lbs in my first trimester. Luckily all is well with baby and myself. I just have a lot more of doctors appointments then the typical preggo momma!
