Just got back from my appointment. Everything was great with baby. They found the heartbeat right away this time. Usually she has to search awhile. Next time I get to do the glucose test. That drink is so nasty. Yuck!!!! I think I will take a little nap before sorting things for the garage sale.
Going to get blood drawn this afternoon for the fetal DNA test due to echogenic focus on baby's heart. Nervous but hoping it brings us peace of mind.
My day is absolutely insane. Oh, and I got invited for an in-person interview at the job I applied for. WWYD: cover up the pregnancy or be open about it?
Open. I was nervous about this too but when I had my interview for my current job at the end I just told them that I wanted to have full-disclosure/be honest with them and told them I was pregnant. They seemed to like that I was open about it and still hired me
Eta words for clarification
Thanks for this. That's what I am thinking. I know others advise to not say anything but I would feel better with full disclosure.
Since I finished my year review and signed on for another year at the end of Aug. I just got my paycheck for Sept. (paid monthly) and realized that the additional year of experience got me a raise (really just being paid the NIH standard for my level) but I totally forgot this was coming and it is ~$250 more /month. Just when we need it.
Also, busy at work today. I spent all morning doing experiments and I have to ween 2 litters of mice this afternoon - and I have to leave early so we can do the day care walk-through.
I think you are far enough that you should disclose the pregnancy @freegiraffe
Back in the hospital this morning for bleeding. Turns out I have kidney stones. Anyone else have these? Did you pass them on your own or have to do an ultrasound?
Guise.. I just teared up at the realization that some of our girls have reach V-day... I'm still 2 weeks away but the fact that our crazy (sometimes difficult) babies are at/near that HUGE milestone is awesome. We will need a gif party once we are all there
It makes me so angry that Jimmy Johns won't deliver to our house. They would have gotten thousands of dollars from me so far this pregnancy if they did!!!!
Martin's sells it so I imagine Giant does too. And I think I have maybe seen it at Costco too. My dad gave Hailey chex mix last week and she loved that! She kept picking out the rye bread and little squigily crackers.
ETA: @ChickenonSunday - I forgot that I still had 100 posts to catch up on, so when I posted this I thought it was right after you had. sorry.

I may have just gotten a JJ's veggie delivered to me at work....

@chickenonsunday we get Pirate booty individual bags and large bags at both Bj's and Costco's. My kids are huge fans. Trader Joes, also has a similar and cheaper version (just as good).
Has anyone successfully ordered a pump through their insurance yet? I'm in the process of ordering mine and DME company keeps faxing back my request asking for more insurance information. I gave them everything so I'm not sure what other information they are looking for and their rep won't return my phone calls.
@smg2302 I paid $40 for my pump after it had gone through insurance. I had a prescription from my MW, took it in to the DME store (it was in network), told them which one I wanted, and they called me back a couple days later to say I was approved and I could come in and pick it up. It was a pretty easy process. Do you have a local DME store that you can actually go in to and talk to someone face to face? I would definitely recommend going that route.

No, it's one provider in our area and they ship it to you and don't have a store front. You don't get any say in which one they will give you. My OB faxed over the prescription yesterday. They didn't say anything about needing more information until today. The upside is that it's $0 copay and mine to keep.
@musicgirl524 I'm happy he's doing something. Luckily, 2 hrs of shopping was all it took for him to come home. He also has class work so I have bump time. Yay!
@MrsRoy07 screw what anyone else thinks as long as you guys like your names.
@Hernsy I didn't have to have the talk (I've been trying to initiate it and he sits me down immediately). His brother called and their dad who recently had lap band has lost 40+ lbs. That's all it took. Happy birthday and anniversary. You definitely deserve a nice dinner.
For the F15s that are feeling constant movement, have you had any days where it nauseates you? Both of the babies are going to town today and it is making me sick to my stomach.....

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
Is anyone else not able to see signatures? (even my own) - nobody's is showing up in their posts for me. I can see avatars fine though (I'm not mobile so that should not be the issue)
@MaddScientist I am mobile and can see them on Google chrome.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

I got my first stranger ask how far along I was today. She is a cashier at a local gas station and I think she asked mostly due to my recent purchases of junk food... 8->

Also.. since I've gotten some energy back, I'd like to take off this ugly wall paper in the boys' bathroom. Is that a no-no? If I wear a mask.. I should be fine right? DH is worried about the fumes from that liquid spray stuff from Home Depot.

Ordering JJ for my late lunch now... Well in 15 minutes if I don't hear from the stupid gas company and their stupid 4 hour freaking window before then.
@erobbins09 what is v day? I'm confused lol is it Valentine's Day? Or am I just that out of it. I am so tired it's not even funny and having weird cramps not cool body not cool
Viability day. The day when our babies have a fighting chance and the Dr will go no holds barred on treating them.

It's viability day when you hit 24 weeks. It's when you LO will have a chance to survive if born pre-mature....
Do any of the big box stores sell Pirates Booty? I think I found W's snack for the car ride home from daycare. She destroyed the stuff yesterday. I picked up a smallish bag, for me, at Food Lion and it cost me $2.99. I need bang for my buck people.
Hey @chickenonsunday! We're BJ's members and only get our Pirates Booty there, en masse. Walmart has it too but not individually packaged.
I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection. I have a fever and it hurts my face to breathe now. I'm also suppose to be stuck at work until around 7:30 but I'm def not sticking around here that long. I'd rather just come in early all this week to make up for the time.
I would so love to be in bed. I feel horrible This is why I haven't been bumping to much.
Also while I was in bed feeling like crap yesterday Dh's grandma stopped by. She wanted to see the baby's room. She went through everything in the room to see what I had. Then she tells DH I'm glad I stopped by and saw what she has I was just getting ready to go out and buy her a bouncy seat.
Ugh I have told DH's family what I have. i have also told them that if its a big or biggish item and its not on our registry its because I have already bought it.
Why do people not listen? I even showed her how to search for our registry and provided her with a link for it on fb. Even if she doesn't want to buy stuff on our registry its there to show what we don't have. If its not on the list we have it!

ARGH. DH has basically refused to help me pick out a crib. Because he "trusts my judgment". Does he not realize I need validation? I stress out way too easily to be left on my own for this sort of thing.
Love tit for sympathy and empathy. My DH basically had me do the registry all by myself when I was carrying the girls. A part of me is relieved I don't have to do it again (sorry!). It can be daunting, especially on your own. And it didn't help when one of my well-meaning friends remarked that I needed to get going on finishing it because there wasn't much on there. Never mind I was working full-time and packing up our place to move to our house, on top of all the pregnancy discomforts etc. Hope YH helps you make other registry decisions!

shallow thoughts time: Do ALL expecting mothers experience swollen feet? Or is it like morning sickness - common but not affecting everyone? I am going to hate the feet swelling. Despite any weight fluctuations I've ever had for any reason, my feet have always been pretty and slender. Gonna be so pumped if I can escape these 9 months with no fluffy feet

I am not sure but I don't think its just the swelling that effects the shoe size, I heard (don't know if its true) that the relaxin hormone or w.e also relaxes the muscles/structure of the feet sometimes causing them to get wider.

Feb'15 November Siggy Challenge:
From the baby shower thread I see a number of us are having our showers in Nov -- did you pick a theme? Care to share what theme you're going with?
My friends want me to pick a theme and I need some inspirations.
