Getting a quick post in before starting work. I have a project deadline tonight that has kept me up late for the past several days and I'm exhausted, can't wait to wait up tomorrow and not have that on my mind.

I did get to take a break yesterday to go to my A/S and dinner afterwards...Baby Girl is looking great! She was moving all around and posing for all the necessary shots, I can't get over how amazing it is to see her on the ultrasound screen and watch her lil heart beat.

I was waiting for a random post to open up! I hate starting my own. Not nearly creative enough.

DH felt the baby kick yesterday for the first time. This morning, he left and said goodbye to me and then goodbye to my belly. It was the first time he has done this. I think the two are directly related.

Oh, and I had my a/s yesterday but was oddly hormonal afterwards...I'm all better now and so I will share. Pip looks great! But he wouldn't cooperate and so the tech couldn't get all of the measurements of the heart valves that she needed. I have to go back in four weeks. I was upset that I couldn't know for sure his heart is OK, and the stupid hormonal part is his lack of cooperation also involved turning his little face...so I didn't get a cute profile picture. All I took home was a picture of his penis confirming the genetic screening results. I was ridiculously sad about this, which I know is stupid because hello, healthy baby, that is all that matters.

Anyhow, I'm sure his heart is OK (I have to be sure...or I won't make it the next four weeks), but they need to get those measurements to be sure, and I suppose that also means I have another chance to get a nice picture.

My coworkers are arguing about whether or not a demon could possess a stuffed animal. And the one girl just told me not to let my baby have a stuffed animal in case it gets possessed by a demon.

This is after the play "Habits" by Tove Lo on repeat (which I've never heard before they played it) like five times. Wtf? Someone just shoot me please. I can't take it today.

I got my phone replaced yesterday! I made the 45 minute (turned into an hour thanks to weather and construction) drive to the closest Apple Store where I figured they would just take my screen off and put a new one on...nope! Whole new phone. And it was $30 cheaper than they quoted me and $100 cheaper than going through verizon. Apple Store FTW!

Also, S was all against me buying a wedding set for myself. He thought it was a waste of money and not necessary. But when he saw how excited I was about it yesterday when it showed up his whole opinion changed. He's so happy for me now and happy that I went ahead and bought. And he's proud of it, like he picked it out and paid for it himself. Insert eye roll here. But I'm glad he changed his tune!

H and I have talked about being Team Green for this LO as we think our 2nd will be our last and it could be cool to do it a bit different this time. I think it would be really special to find out at birth but part of me wonders if I'll feel like I'm bonding less with the baby if I don't know the sex. Any BTDT team green moms have advice or thoughts on this?

The recent drops in the stocks have made me a bit stressed about our debt. My husband has a LOT of our money tied in stocks. He manages everything well and we'd be able to pay it all off unless there's a complete stock crash, but still a bit stressed, none - the - less.

Feeling super guilty about th amount of sugar I've been eating lately.

I'm having HUGE dilemmas with names. Since we found out its a girl, I feel SO behind, like I don't have anything to call her. And everyone else has picked out names already. This morning I started liking Evalyn (my husband picked it out ... he came up with around 20.names ... and I've been rolling it around. I actually am starting to like it, but I prefer more of an 'Ava' sound. Is Avalyn a name? Or would it be better to go with Avalynn to get the -ava? Names are confusing.

My random is that lil Ava LOVES for mommy to be wide awake from 4-6 am usually, but not always, accompanied by nausea and/or tummy discomfort. :P

Yes! I was able to successfully avoid the "I told you so" comments! Hooray!

And I love my phone. I had the 5 before this and there's really no difference between them except for a slight design difference and bigger screen. But I loved my iPhone 5 too, and would have kept it for longer if I hadn't, you know, cracked its screen...

I've heard great things from friends who do the Dave Ramsey plan. We just paid off our cars but we are putting our savings towards baby fund. I guess I really should be putting that money towards my student loans because I still owe about 20,000 and that principal never seems to go down.

It's been hectic in my home this morning. MIL was admitted to the hospital. She had routine surgery last week to remove a kidney stone, and she's back due to complications. Apparently she's lost function in one.

Ugh. I'm so upset at this hospital, and no clue why she keeps going back. 2.5 years ago she had a heart attack, went to this hospital, had stents put in, and while recovering (not even 24 hours after) suffered another heart attack and had to have a double bypass. She was in a medicated coma for over 2 months, and PT months after that. Also, my moms 1st husband died here due to malpractice 35 years ago, and DH's grandmother passed away here. This hospital just has some bad vibes for us all.

DH took off work and is visiting her now to see wtf is up with her condition. Please think and pray for her.

I have my 18 week appointment today. I am always so nervous when it comes time for these. I don't think that there's anything abnormal going on, I just need to relax.

The pipsqueak has been hanging out on the left side a lot lately. He/she must be more comfortable there. It makes me smile when my abdomen has this hard little lump just to the left of my belly button. I keep envisioning the baby huddled in a ball right there. I can't wait to see the baby at the ultrasound in a couple weeks. I'm kind of jealous that some of you ladies have already gotten to see your LOs

Pay more every month- even if it's just 10-20$. If you can pay more, great. You'll start to see it go down. I just payed off one of my student loans, so my payment now is smaller. I just keep paying the same amount that I use to so I can pay it quicker.

Went baby item shop lurking! Realized that babies r us is much more expensive than Walmart... just sayin lol went in to buy a pregnancy pillow which we realized were cheaper online so that was a half useless venture. Anyway today is my day off... online apartment hunting yay!

You can price match at babies r us, to amazon. Or so I was told! I've done it several times at Buy Buy Baby, but haven't actually tried at Babies r us. Also, sign up or whatever, and you'll get mailed a 20% off coupon almost every week (and several other coupons). The 20% can actually make some items cheaper than elsewhere!

So i had a question. As far as saying how pregnant I am I normally just say the weeks but i have said it in terms of months and i thought 18 weeks=4 and a half months. Well I just got this pamphlet thing and it showed 4 months ending at 18 weeks and 5 months starting at 19 weeks. Does pregnancy not really follow actual weeks? Is it like a different system? I have no idea lol

Because we got married at the spur of the moment, we weren't engaged even. We decided to get married on a Friday and went to the court house on Wednesday. Because of that I took my time finding a set that I liked. I had previously told him that I would marry him without a ring (which I did) but he took that to mean that I didn't ever need a ring so he thought it was pointless for me to have one.

He never wears his ring unless I specifically ask him to. It's too big on his finger because his knuckles are bigger than his actual finger and a size smaller wouldn't go over his knuckle so his ring just sits and spins and moves around. I think because he doesn't wear his he didn't realize how important it was for me to have one until he saw me with it.

- to the folks doing Dave Ramsey, congrats! To those interested, it really works!! I used to do it before I got married and paid off like 30-40k of debt. With this 2nd baby coming I'm about to get us back on it. DH (then BF) scoffed at my Dave Ramsey back then, now he's like, ok he has a point. Lol.

For me, our 3 different house guests begin arriving tmo night and my house is still chaos. I called the cleaning service and they are coming tmo. I'm so glad DH got on board with us having cleaners. The house is big and they only charge $75 to clean it. It would take me an entire weekend to do it myself. So worth it.

And a random funny: I'm checking out at the grocery store and the little high school girl cashier goes "oh, your belly is so cute, how far along are you?". I just said oh I'm halfway. She goes "oh, 6 months?" And it was all I could do to keep a straight face. What's up with sex ed these days?

@frecklesinside Our little guy did exactly the same thing at our a/s yesterday. All I got was a picture of his foot and another appointment in 3 weeks. They couldn't check his heart, diaphragm, or his face and all they really did was confirm he was a boy and got a few long bone measurements. I hope your follow-up goes smoothly!
