Oh and on a funny A team note I was joking around with a few coworkers. One who is much younger and said that the A team was coming but I didn't think Mr. T was joining them. Most everyone got it except one very young teacher. Who asked me which school Mr. T worked at. She will be getting a large print out of him today!
Good morning! I have been up since 5 something working.
I am on the second cup of coffee and hoping to catch up on school, work and personal life this week. I have decided not to go to a work dinner and afternoon program today because I have other things to do and it is not critical for me to be there.
The huge work program that we had yesterday went well...I think. I am still not happy with how the regional director has handled things with this particular program. I am supposed to speak with her today 1:1 and I am not sure how that conversation will go.
I need to get a few things done this morning before I talk with her...so back to work...I think I may have heard Vinny...he should be up by now? Okay off to be a mom now
I love my husband. I do. And this week is a very busy one for him. But I have a work dinner tonight. When it came up, I sent him the email with all the info, and asked if it worked for him, before I committed. He has tried to schedule meetings for today at least SIX different times. And he did schedule one for 4. So yesterday, I said, "I guess I'm picking up Ben from daycare." He said, "yes. And I'll be home around 6:30 after I pick up my car from FIL."
OMFG! I had to remind him YET AGAIN that he has to be home by 5:30 and stay home with the kid. No meeting at the church. No swapping cars with FIL. No client meetings. No haircuts. Just stay at home for an evening. Good lord. I haven't had an evening away in three months, and I haven't had a weekend day away ever. I don't mind. But when I need him, and he commits, I need him to remember.
To be fair, he usually isn't quite so bad, and it is one of the busiest weeks for him and his business ever.
Good morning everyone! Congratulations @Mom2bois85! I was out in rainy Charlottesville VA for the weekend enjoying Virginia wines and horsies and no Internet. Looking forward to catching up!

Apple butter and camping went well. It was so cold Saturday night! We did have a good time but now my SO has a man cold and his back hurts.
Had a funeral yesterday (stepdad's grandmother) so that kept me busy for a good portion of the day. My mom and I went to have sushi after the funeral and that was nice I love spending alone time with her.
I think Haddock has a slight cold and I hope it doesn't get any worse \:D/
I just got the box of Activyl (like Frontline, but better for our area) and my dog took off like he knew what was coming. How do they know??? Poor pup, he hates it!
Blah for canines. The top two have popped through and I'm sure the bottom two are on their way. Last night was the third night in a row we had to give P tylenol. I know he's in pain, so it's helping, but I always worry about giving him meds too much.
I POAS this morning (10dpo). DH thought he saw a line, but I didn't. Of course I had already dumped the pee lol. I don't know if I want to test tomorrow or not. It's Remembrance Day and I just feel like tomorrow should be about the baby we lost. I don't know.
@mrshudson618 I completely know where you're coming from! We have a good deal of cobblestone in my town and people have just let their yards completely take over. It's ridiculous. There's actually one woman who has a no trespassing sign on her yard/cobblestone and it pisses me off to no end. I've actually thought about calling the town on her because it's not even really "hers". Before I had Haddock I would walk my dog past her house and I would just continue to walk from the cleared cobblestone through her unclear cobblestone and she came outside and asked me to please not walk through her yard. She's lucky I was in a good mood that day
Also, has anyone else's kid learned to say cheese every time they see a camera? I don't know where he learned it, it wasn't from me, but its so hard to get a decent picture now because if his "cheese face"
@mrshudson618 P doesn't say cheese, but he definitely has a "cheese face". If we even say cheese and there isn't a camera around, he'll do it. He also likes to do it when he sees himself in the mirror. It's adorable!
Mil just left. She's been here since Sunday night to help watch G Monday while I worked and DH had jury duty. She really isn't that bad and had the best intentions but still rubs me the wrong way at times. Oh well. G is super congested again and we finally bought a nosefeida. He just loves it ) I started typing over an hour ago so I'm sure I have a ton to catch up on!
Congrats @Mom2bois85 hope you guys feel better soon @econmama and @maryannespier @KikiCohen I would totally test tomorrow! Pee on all the tests! @cshum24 So many other things but I don't remember! This has taken me over a half hour to write. Tuesdays are my crazy day!
There just is not enough coffee in the world to get me through today. Liam was up almost every hour with nightmares, I suspect anyway. Up for good at 5AM. I don't know how you early risers do it!
This weekend was awful - my very close friend lost her father unexpectedly on Friday. He was only 59. We also got horrible news about the passing of my cousin's little guy. So I have been just so sad, but my best friend gave me the news that she is preg! She has been trying for over a year and had a horrible and emotionally draining time with fertility treatments. I was so happy to finally hear good news about someone I love.
Hope everyone's Tuesday is treating them well. Here's to a 4 day work week for most of us I hope!
Congrats @Mom2bois85 ! Feel better, mamas who aren't feeling well! I am off to TX for a work trip, but at least one of my BFFs who also works with me is going too. Home on Thursday night, and a one night trip to OH on Sunday. Drinking allll the coffee... ~O)
Sounds like a rough weekend @caitable25, but that's great news about your BF!
It's back to the grind for me today after a fun 3 day weekend. We left LO with the grandparents for the first time on Sunday night so we could attend a wedding in the mountains. I was so nervous about leaving him, but they said he did great. I, on the other hand, drank away some of my nerves with the signature cocktails at the the wedding. Holy hangover, Batman! I usually stick to beer or wine, and rarely drink anything with hard alcohol so I guess I'm too old to handle my liquor now. I slept like a log last night so I feel so much better today! Hope everyone has a good week!
@redrocksmama I know the feeling. I was hungover on Sunday morning. I actually had to come home and take a 2 hour nap before I could go get my LO. Both my SO and I were feeling pretty awful!
So, we've talked about the lack of shoes in public places before but I forgot to mention what I saw on Thursday...
I took Haddock to the pediatrician to get his flu shot and there was another mother in there with a 6 year old and a 14 month old. The 14 month old didn't have on shoes or socks and the mom was allowing her walk all around the office on both the well side and sick side while dragging her blanket along behind her.
Love tit this if you think what I witnessed was disgusting.
Toddlers touch every surface - I don't really see how being barefoot at the pediatrician is going to hurt them. Wearing gloves at the pediatrician would be better than shoes imo. I hope that blanket got washed!
Toddlers should wear shoes most places outside, though. I was at a park with my sister (nurse) and she noticed a toddler's toe was bright red and streaky on his foot (she knows the mom so this isn't weird) she turned his toe over and it was very infected and had something deeply embedded in it. Poor baby. The mom explained that she didn't want his walking skills to be hindered by shoes.. because a severely infected toe isn't going to hinder walking...
I see your point @PickleX but I still think it's so gross. I'm also the mom that holds their LO the whole time until it's time to set him down on the examination table (which I know is germy but necessary) so there's that... my helicopter hovers pretty low...
Not only was it pretty gross that the baby was running around barefooted but it was cold outside and rainy! I just didn't like it but I do understand your point of toddlers touching everything anyway.

It's a little gross, but I agree with what @picklex said.
The other day at the children's museum I saw a baby crawling around that had a paci on a clip that was hanging down and dragging around on the floor. She would pop it in her mouth, drag it around the floor some more, then pop it back in. I hope we can all agree that's nasty.

Tess went to the doctor, whole foods, and then daycare wearing only socks, her sneakers were in my diaper bag.
She had her 15 month appointment this morning. 31 inches and 22.5 lbs. She's on track for her, and she did OK with her shots.
After the appointment we grabbed a quick lunch together at Whole Foods, and then I dropped her off at daycare. They were all having lunch, so they put her down at the table and gave her a banana I brought in for her snack. Her and her friend Anthony were sitting next to each other and almost as soon as she sat down, without anyone saying anything, they turned to each other and kissed!
Oh my goodness.
ETA: @Encchanted, good luck!! Not that you'll need it!
