At least 2. I'll probably get a lot of crap from my ILs about it, like @LuckySquare mentioned. Not looking forward to that. My husband is clueless about this kind of stuff so just follows my lead, so he's not very good at defending "our" stances on certain things.
Pretty much this verbatim. Not looking forward to having to fight with my in-laws over seat position when they have her for a day...

Until he can't RF anymore. DS1 is still RF at almost 2 and perfectly comfy at 34", so I assume we will do the same for DS2. My mom insisted on turning DS1 FF in her car right after he met the 'requirements', so I vastly limited the amount of time he got to go places with her that I wasn't driving. My sister was one of the "I survived" types and turned her oldest at 9 months, her youngest at 7-8, and both into boosters way too early. My niece was barely 2 and in a booster (despite the law of 4 in PA) and my almost 3 year old nephew is in a booster most of the time too, and not the high back kind, so I have a lot of push back about my kids and their carseats.
Oh, and DS2 started in his infant seat on the driver's side, then moved to passenger side in his convertible since DS1 asks for more things and I needed to reach him from the passenger seat. We don't have a center seat option.
yeah we just got the graco 4 ever seat and its RF until 40lbs, hes about 22-23 now so you know...sometime in the next month or 2 I'm sure he will hit the 40lb mark
