Lost baby today

Hi everyone, just found out my husband and I lost our baby today. Dr said the baby stopped growing at 8w3 days, what sucks is we saw the heartbeat at 8w1 day. Now I have to have a d&c Wednesday. Has anyone else had the procedure done?? Not sure what to expect... Thanks

Sorry for your loss. I've had a vacuum d&c done which is gentler. Compared to other methods I've had (multiple losses) this was by far the best. Almost no bleeding, no cramps. I was 9 weeks and my pregnancy hormones were gone 2 weeks later. I'm just starting my first period since the loss. Take it easy for the first couple of days as too much activity can cause more bleeding. Good luck and hope it all goes well for you

I'm sorry for your loss. I used Cytotec, which worked but was physically terrible, and I wish I had done the D&C. Our baby stopped growing at 7w5d and we lost him at 8w1d. Sorry you're going through this.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I just went through miscarriage via cytotec, which didn't get rid of everything. I kind of wish I had done the d&c because then I would know it's over. But I'm sorry to see you are joining us, but welcome

We were in a very similar situation, it is tough but almost 3 weeks later it has gotten a little easier. I am sorry sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had D&Cs after both of my miscarriages. The procedure is about 30 minutes and you will be in a light sedation. Take some time for yourself to heal and recover. I am so sorry.

So sorry for your loss. I had a d&c 2 weeks ago. Take some time for you to recover after. I took about 3 days off work and it really helped. I didn't really start bleeding until about 3 days after and just finished, so keep that in mind and prepare yourself for that.

I'm so sorry. I don't have advice on the D&C since I had a natural miscarriage.
But how far along were you? It can take more than 2 weeks to miscarry naturally.

The d&c wasn't bad at all, I miscarried naturally and then had to have the emergency d&c due to massive blood loss. I was 12 weeks and the baby stopped growing at 8w3 days
