So last night, I tell DH it's time to complete our registry as it's only 3.5 weeks until D-day and I want to have all the necessities in the house. He asks what major things are left. I tell him a cosleeper/bassinet/RNP for the first few of weeks. He asks why are you wasting so much time thinking about this, just decide...
REALLY??? This from the guy who spend 6 MONTHS and no less than 10 visits to the store to pick out his Oakleys and has been talking about the Microsoft Surface 3 for the last month with no less than 4 store visits and still hasn't pulled the trigger? But the safety of where our first child sleeps at night, that's a decision I should just make spur of the moment sight unseen... there were no words... pretty much for the rest of the night.
Husband decided today is the day to assemble all the baby shittery.
Well suck it pack n play, you are a huge piece of shit. It's broken and won't come together right so I have to find the receipt, shove it back in the damn box and return it.
Why is all this baby stuff so crappy and cheap?! Grr.
I feel ya. The night we did the PNP, RNP and bouncer was not a fun night! Also we somehow broke the battery compartment on the bouncer, ugh. Also LOL at "shittery."
@uncharted01 both her and my FIL both come off with the most inappropriate things! I miscarried our first pregnancy at 12 weeks last year… this time round, every time my FIL saw me or rang he'd ask, with a jolly chuckle, if I was still pregnant?! @-)
@Dimples0101 "fuck off, nice to see you too" quite pleased I managed not to punch her in the foof as these hormones be making me ragey.
@aa98--sounds like my H! He spent at least 2 months picking out the faucet for the sink in the guest bathroom, while I spent (at most) 1 week picking out a daycare for DD. I'm glad he's thorough, but it's just a freaking faucet! At least mine didn't give me crap for taking too long with the daycare decision.
I hate it when I am shopping and move all the way over, practically knocking stuff off the shelves to let someone pass by and they still have to loudly say "Excuuuuuse me". WTF, I can't make myself any tinier and you have plenty of room, bitch. That is totally unnecessary and makes me want to punch you.
Also I swear that half of the people at the grocery store this morning were high. The whole place reeked of skunk weed and people were moving so slowly that I wanted to smash my cart into them or scream at them. Maybe I shouldn't be allowed to run errands anymore...I get so ragey.
Dd was at my dads for a sleepover lastnight. We will probably only have one or two nights just us before the baby comes when she is at my dads. Instead of a relaxing evening i threw up all of thanksgiving dinner and what i drank, plus felt like i was super drunk all night.

@Econosaurus LOL glad I'm not the only one fighting w/ a pack n play tonight! I thought the one we bought was something special (it has the changing table & bassinet attachments on top). Nope, piece of overpriced crap! The "special attachments" came in 20 pieces w/ no instructions. Fun times!
Next up is the SnuggaPuppy swing - deep breaths....
@bethas uh, if it weren't for you and the kids, he also wouldn't have a wife and kids - tell him that's still an option. That sucks that you got your hopes up.
My bitch is that my gums are soooo sore today. I think I just need to drink more, but the cold water hurts my delicate little mouth
Had some pain just went into the OB to ask if normal (and my regular appointment), got sent into L&D where I got sent home but not before a very condescending speech from both the nurse and the on call even though my doc was the person who told me to come in. So basically just grumpy from pain and condescension. Hopefully munchkin comes soon

@dr_pr OMG he takes SOOO LONG to make decisions and I ALWAYS have to come with him to give my opinion which I've already given on numerous occasions and by the end it's "I don't give a crap, just freakin' get one." He literally will NOT shop without me. Then he complains over a few days of research and no trips to the store for anything baby related, AND I didn't even ask for his help!!! GAH!!! I'm so sorry you have to deal with the same thing.
@bethas - I was just about to "yell" at you for holding all that guilt but then I saw that you held your own with MIL on Facebook so I will leave you alone. For now.
Ok, wait, just know that it NOT your fault DH can't afford the house. He took part in making those babies. You are a team. The house will come when it is time. You are doing an awesome job, Mama. Tell MIL to shut it! If she likes the RV so much she can buy it from you guys!
I'm a live in nanny, so I never have time off:( my job is gettin harder every day and it sucks. I'm too exhausted to keep up with a 2 year old and basically be a slave for all 3 kids. They have legs! They can get up and get stuff themselves!
I hate this for you. It may be your job, but the parents need to teach them responsibility and how to be self-sufficient. Granted, I was much better with that with DS2 than DS1, as it is a learning curve, but your job title isn't "child slave". Maybe if you keep reminding the kids that there are just things they have to do for themselves right now, that will help?? Although you're in a tough situation IRC, since the mom is also a friend. But really, aren't you supposed to be recuperating??
@FirstBabyDoyle -- haven't seen you on much... hope those first-graders aren't running you too ragged! I don't know you how you do it. At least in high school I can sit some while I teach and don't have as many behavioral issues to deal with. Kudos to you!
@tarynleann -- Has the spot on your arm grown, or is it just sore still? And the flu? Yuck.
@mommymeg143 -- YES! There are times I'm pretty sure he's trying to wave hello out of my lady bits. And some of these contractions make me think he's going to drop right out.
No its a little smaller. It's just hurts. I swear I'm not a big baby. I thought getting the flu shot was suppose to make you NOT get the flu, I appear to be very wrong.
Just wanted to add this to the list of complaints about the day - I'm super thirsty all the time and I want to drink tons of ice water but I also don't want to wake up 4 times in the night to pee again.
But in other better news, I talked to my MIL tonight and asked if she would be available Thursday to take me to the hospital if it should become necessary with DH out of town all day. She of course said yes and is actually rearranging some plans to stick close to home in case I need her. Best MIL Ever!
