Hello, I would probably be considered a lurker. I was addicted to the bump and N13 since 1 trimester. I am on the original spreadsheet of due dates. After baby was born spent sometime in Parenting during the the long nights. Then just got busy with life. I don't think I've ever figured out how to post a pic so I'm not one of those. I'm all mobile & dyslexic, so I get nervous that I'll irritate people with bad formatting or spelling I know I just need to take my time and proof read.
Hiiiiiiiii lurkers! Welcome . I still would consider some of you regs already @JodiAnn25 . If any of you want to be added to the birthday list let me know !!
@shanbp I wouldn't say I'm new, I just end up not posting for awhile and feel weird jumping back in. I also went to bed after my post last night, hence the delay in response.
I'll come out. I have posted a few times early on. I mainly lurk at work. Let's see baby girl was born 11-11 and I have a 4 year old son. Been married for 6 years. Live in southern IN and work with all men at a power plant! You ladies have been more source of entertainment for awhile, so I thank you for that! I am only mobile so my "excuse" for not joining in more is that!
Hi - I believe I intro'd back when I was pregnant, and have posted a few times (never in the pics/birthday thread, but when I needed advice from people in the same boat and when I thought I had something to add - most recently in the how to begin supplementing with formula thread). Each time I have posted, I put a little into, but nothing too detailed, so here goes.
My son, Sam, was born on Nov 25. We live in Jersey and I'm on the older side of most of you (turned 41 last week), and a FTM. I've been with my husband for about 8 years, married for 2.5. His birth was uneventful (planned C Section due to some complications, but super speedy recovery), and I came back to work at 12 weeks. He's been in Day Care by my house ever since, and most of the time I'm happy with that... I love him to death, but I also like having a job (and we need the income so I have to like it )
Sam is minutes away from starting to walk, and that scares the bejesus out of me! I've enjoyed lurking here mostly since none of my real life friends have babies around the same age so it's nice to see others in the same place. I really don't know what else you guys would want to know, so ask away!
Oh, and I only really post/lurk either when pumping at work or when needing a sanity break at work... so if I ever don't respond quickly, that's why!
I did intro back in 2013, contributed to some threads, but mostly lurked since my opinions were well expressed in others' posts. I did learn a lot from many of you!!!
Don't want to make u all uncomfy and be creepy. Can I continue being a lurker when Im nursing LO? Thank you for everything!!
I'm a lurker, probably in creep mode now since I know a lot about the regs but they don't know me. Sorry, I suck!
I go through rampages where I love posts then drop off. I don't usually comment since I'm afraid of getting flamed (for non-participation and also for my sometimes ditzy comments). Plus, I feel like you all know each other so well and have invested so much time into getting to know each other. I feel like an outsider of my own doing. Oh well, I'll learn for next baby!
I've learned so much from you ladies. I tend to use in my defense to my husband "the BMB said to do this..."
I do want to take a minute to thank you for the help, advice, lessons, and funny stories that N13 has provided.
I'm another one of those lurkers who did an intro a few months back on a lurker thread. I participated a few times and then life got busier and the bump took a backseat for a bit. Now that things have settled down a bit, I'd like to start contributing more.
C was born Nov 22, I currently stay at home with him. We live in Indiana and have two dogs a lab and a cockapoo.
I'll bite too. I am a dirty lurker. I intro'd a while back. I've been here since I found out I was pregnant. I am from western pa. Born and raised. I am been with my dh for about 7 years married for 3. I am an interior designer and decided to change jobs right after having our little one. I love being at home with her but I also love my job. I hate to be one if those people and I am sure it will change one day. My husband and I love to cook and drink so I really enjoy the drinking threads, unfortunately I have no boob to share. They have taken a real beating:(
I hope to contribute more cause this is really a good group:)
@smadar11 -- Hi! I'm an interior designer, too. Well, I SAH, but I've been toying with the idea of doing some work from home with some of my old clients (I was in residential previously). We just bought a house and that is absorbing all my time/focus right now, but maybe in the new year...I do miss it! Anyway, welcome (back)
That's very cool. I do more commercial work, like healthcare and higher education. I interviewed for a new position when I was 39 weeks pregnant and thought, "yeah right" they would never hire someone who is about to go on maternity leave. But low and behold, I got a second interview about three weeks after I has Stella, via C-section, so I was not feeling that great. But it has turned out to be the best career move. I am so happy doing what I do. I am sure you know what I mean:)
@izzybelka - I'm not sure you qualify as a lurker when you've met Foxy in the flesh. I mean seriously, you fed her, @mamasoup030 and me slutty brownies.
Thanks @joelies... I guess I do have that advantage. And now I want slutty brownies.
Hi my name is Hannah, I'm a lurker. Well, sortof. I post occasionally on this board and Breastfeeding.
I try to keep up but it's really hit and miss when I can get back to The Bump.
I live in Nebraska and am loving the change of season. The trees and tall grasses are really starting to show their fall colors.
Edit: Just a bit more about me, since I actually read all that everyone has shared. I've been married 7 years (Oct 20) and we had a little boy named Emmett 11/23. He is awesome. He's crawling, learning to stand, trying to walk (while holding our hands), babbling, eating finger foods, feeding the dog, chasing the dog, and almost always in a good mood. 10 months has gone by so fast.
I am a lurker! I have been following the board since I got pregnant with my baby girl. I enjoyed following all of your stories/updates while I was pregnant with her. I started coming back to the board when I had inquiries about what people are feeding their kids/sleep problems/sickness. Sorry that I have never posted or contributed. Maybe I should start, if it is okay with everyone!
Hi! I guess I'm kind of a lurker. I intro'd a while back and contribute/post randomly. Got to say THANKS a bunch for all the regs that consistently post info! I've learned a lot and never thought I would gain so much from an online community. I hope to be better at giving back!!
A little more about myself: (Don't want to be a stranger!) I'm a southern girl (Texas by heart but currently live in Louisiana). Been married for 4 yrs ( kind of an interesting story of reconnecting with an old flame from 10 yrs ago and getting married!). TTC for 2 yrs, then IVF was successful and we have an adorable little girl, Lara Jayne.
Hope to be more involved with this great group of ladies
@izzybelka what they said! Not a lurker. Those slutty brownies were amazing. I can't believe I spent that much of my life without them, almost as bad as never eating a corn dog!
Glad to see so many of you! @lfigge so glad to hear your LO is doing well! My husband has hydrocephalus, had surgery as a newborn and several follow up surgeries for his shunt in the following years. He had his last surgery when he was 8, and has had no issues since. Hope things continue to go well for her!
Okay, here goes. I've intro'd probably close to half a dozen times with every intention of being more active...and then I slip back into creepy lurker land. Hopefully I can turn from my bad habits this time! Emmeline was born 11/6/13 after a wonderfully uneventful pregnancy. My DH and I are middle school sweethearts. I teach 6th grade Language Arts and I like to read and watch bad reality shows. For example, Love Prison is on my tv right now while Emme naps
I didn't realize how many posts I missed until switching to the newer Bump app. I am one more lurker coming out from the shadows, with a new screen name to boot (old one was my maiden name and I wanted something more private if I'm going to jump in). I am one of those that jumped in on the birthday thread and later realized it was one awkward move (message already sent to remove after realizing how odd it was to participate with no one knowing who we are/not getting to know y'all). I am a FTM living in SC with my hubby and chunk a munk. I'm pretty sure there's a reg in my town too, hoping this goes over well For lurkiness.. I posted here and there a bit in the beginning but was not part of the regs really getting to know each other and went to the shadows for a bit. From there it was never really certain when it was safe to try and get involved. For a bit if someone not a reg posted without a full intro they were flamed so hard, then it was annoying to do an intro, then new people from other boards joined when things were quiet and they were welcomed eagerly. The last thing I would want would be to try and join in and be put down for not being a reg, being an AW, etc. From a lurker distance the board was a huge help while going through early BF struggle, and a hard time with PPA. I'm hoping to be welcomed and in some way give back to you momma's considering how helpful y'all have been to me.
Previous (semi) reg turned lurker here to say hi! Life has gotten so busy with traveling for work and a baby on the move, I don't even have time to lurk most days. Now that I don't pump at work anymore I have a lot less time for the bump. Haven't forgotten about you ladies. Hi...hopefully you'll hear from me more!
