Anyone feeling baby yet?

Re: Anyone feeling baby yet?

  • I have felt my little bub at 12w on the dot.
I know what gas bubbles feels like. (All people experience gas bubbles their entire lives! I'm pretty sure we should know!) and while this feels SIMILAR.. It's definitely not the same feeling.
I had just woken up in the morning and was laying on my back when I felt something like a goldfish poking at my abdomen. I got super excited! (And didn't have to fart for a while! So I know that wasn't it LOL with pregnancy... Gas isn't something that is subtle. Just saying.)

  • FTM, 15w, and still haven't felt anything. At least I don't think. I guess I keep telling myself it's way too early so I don't even try to look for it. But, in my case it may be too early. Congrats to those who have, I can't wait to feel my little ones movement (:
  • Yup. Squirmy wormies for a week or two. Nothing super exciting yet. Ute Fight Club is still weeks away.

  • I felt dd at 15 weeks... Leaning forward for a long time to write thank yous for our wedding.

I was teaching the Reproductive System to my students. I was fixing the cuff on my pants while they finished writing and felt that familiar little wiggle! Stood me strait up like last time! Haven't felt since but I'm looking forward to the daily movements!

Dd would stick her foot out of my rib cage every day after lunch. My students were amazed that her little foot was sticking out and moving... Usually while I was giving instructions. I also enjoyed the fact that her foot was out of my right lung and gall bladder for a little.
  • second time mom here. I didn't feel my first one till I was 16 weeks. i'm 13 weeks now with #2 and have been feeling little things that I know is baby for about a week now. And for some of you saying it's too soon, everyone's body is different so no, it's not too soon for everyone....
  • I feel the little fishy feeling a couple times each day now. It's like it's floating by and rubbing up against the inside. Very odd but I love it.
  • 15 weeks here, FTM, and really can't be sure. About a week ago I had some non-gas bubble flutters while sitting on a stationary bike at the gym and thought that might be something, but haven't really felt it since.

  • I'm 15w1d today and am pretty sure I felt baby for the first time this morning. I was told that because of my posterior placenta I would probably feel baby a little earlier. My OB said at about 16 weeks. So I guess it's entirely possible for me to be feeling it a few days earlier than that. Of course I can't be 100% sure as I'm a FTM and haven't experienced it before but it felt quite different to gas bubbles. A lot of women describe it as popcorn popping and that's exactly how it felt to me.

Well why don't you be the first one? You can't really act as if you know what all these other women are feeling.

  • Totally not being rude or anything. Mostly just being funny. ;)
But I'm not saying these ladies don't *think that they are feeling their babies. But medically speaking that wouldn't be the explanation. Not to mention the flutters would have to be practically in their vagina since that's almost how low down the babies are at 10 & 12 weeks. Haha. But it is fun to day dream and imagine that pregnancy symptoms can be something a little happier. :) and it doesn't hurt to think that, for sure! Feeling baby moves is definitely the most wonderful part of being pregnant.

I agree that when women who are 11 and 12 weeks along think they're feeling baby move I just don't agree with them. But at 14 or 15 weeks it's possible.

  • I just want to say that just for the record I really was being nice. :) just ask a doctor or read your baby center updates... It may be less offensive coming from them. But like I said... It doesn't hurt to think that it is your baby! And that certainly is a happy, happy thing! One of my favorites. :)
  • I'm 15 weeks+1 day with my 5th pregnancy and will readily admit that I have felt no kicks but am excited to soon. :)

Totally being nice and not rude at all - but if you've read the majority if these posts, and if you did the math on this bump month, you'd quickly realize the majority here are well past the 10-12 week gestational marker you mentioned.
  • I guess I read some of the earlier comments on this thread where lots of ladies were still in their first trimester. Sorry for the confusion. I guess I should have directly quoted them ..... But like I said I wasn't trying to be rude so I wasn't pointing fingers.... Just making a general statement that scientifically you will not feel your baby for a while. But that's just based on medicine and science and doctors. And they really are wrong lots of the times so hey... Who knows. :)
  • I was just giving my ""bump date and letting you know that I hadn't felt anything yet .... Lots of people were allowed to do that on this thread. I'm sorry if you felt like I was saying that I was farther along than you. That certainly wasn't my intention. I don't know you and your due date and I don't consider it some kind of contest who's the farthest along and I would never ever claim that that makes me more experienced anyways. I guess I just came off wrong. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Sometimes Internet can make it hard to know where people are coming from. Sorry that I hurt you!
  • I'm sorry you don't think I'm funny. I guess I'm ok with not being the funniest kid on the block. I can't be good at everything I guess. ;) sorry that I've came off mean to you though - I can tell I've rubbed on a sensitive issue and I feel bad that I have hurt you.

    Okkkkk then.

Anyways, to be honest as a FTM I don't really know what movement will feel like for me. But from the doctor told me that I will probably start feeling baby in another month or so.

  • Ok I'm sorry. I was just trying to be nice and apologize There's really not much I can apologize for accept for how you feel or for misunderstanding because I legitimately have been overly / obnoxiously polite and respectful.
  • From now on, just don't make assumptions about what people are feeling.  I'll be 14 weeks on Tuesday and I have felt flutters a few times.  No, it's not gas because I'm not gassy at the time.  Everyone is different, so unless you work in the medical profession, you can't really say how someone could feel and when.

I think that's the problem. Let it go now and we can all still be friends.
  • I started getting flutters during week 13 (I'm 15 now). They are random, so it's not all the time. Can't wait till I can really feel the baby!...but I love these little reminders of "hey mom, I'm here".
  • I am 13+2 today and this is my third pregnancy. I swear I also keep feeling something in my lower stomach. I can't believe it since I am only 13 weeks, but it is very exciting!!!
  • You don't know until you know you know but then you know. Before you know you know you might know but you can't be sure you know. Eventually you will know but no one can tell you if you know or don't know once you're in a reasonable time frame for knowing. You'll know if you know when you really know but nobody knows when that will be.

I felt this baby a few days ago and I know. I'm 15 weeks today.

And I know that you know that I know too. We know we make sense, see?

  • I'm 15+3 and felt a flutter last night that felt different from my normal gas feeling...but I can't be sure it was baby as I'm a FTM and not sure what its supposed to feel like. Also I *was* gassy from drinking prune juice. I'd like to think it was baby and not the prunes, but who knows.
On an unrelated note, I also had clear fluid show up on my shirt last night, coming from my nipple. At first I thought "it's way too early. I must have somehow drooled on myself....while wide awake....and not noticed..." but then I looked it up and apparently you can startleaking colostrum as early as 13-15 weeks, wtf?? I wasnot expecting THAT one for a while!!

Me-24~~ DH-25~~Married 6/15/2013~~Pregnant with our first due April 2, 2015~ Septate/ Bicornuate/Arcuate /some kind of not-normal uterus- won't know for sure which one till after babe is born~~Hoping for a full term baby!

  • I know this sounds weird but I have felt movement since 10 weeks. It started as tiny taps that I would never forget from my 2nd pregnancy. Without a doubt it's baby. Now at 13 weeks it's definitely baby! Even now if I don't feel movement for a while, I give a little tap on my tummy and that unexplained movement happens. It feels like turning or almost as if u r going down a really steep hill. Hard to explain but it's there!
  • I'm 13wks and I have felt light movements, flutters and a little knot jitters for the last couple of weeks but these last couple of days the little one has been quite quiet. This is my first but I've never had a feeling quite like this so I like to think its my lil one getting comfortable, which is fine with me!!
  • I'm 13 weeks and have felt little flutters for at least a week now. This is my second so I definitely am able to tell the difference between baby flutter and gas bubbles a lot better now!
  • this really is getting humorous now. My baby doesn't developmentally have legs yet but trust me... I can feel it kicking me! Haha.
  • I'm 14weeks 5 days and I've been feeling baby for about a week now :)
  • Maybe baby, maybe gas but the last couple of nights when I've been laying still for awhile on my side I've felt kind of a whooshing sensation. Very faint, rather fleeting. But I've never felt anything like that before so unless my intestines are suddenly doing new and interesting things too...Who knows!

  • I'm going to ask a really amateur question. Do gas bubbles always end in a fart? I feel a kind of flutter/movement but I don't fart after it. As you might be able to tell this is my first baby so I just don't know if it's the baby I feel. It's usually when I am lying down, and I'm very small (if that makes a difference).
