We're looking everywhere for a crib that has no VOC, water based, non toxic lacquer and finish. All I'm finding is like $1000+ and DH won't go for it. No one at BRU seems to know what they're talking about and can seem to tell me what is used on their cribs. Anyone seen them or bought one from anywhere at a pretty reasonable price? TIA

I'll have to research that. DH says that he thinks the water based varnish might "seal" the toxins in. Good Idea! Thanks.

I just feel so limited! I'll let you know if I find anything else and I'll research DaVinci.
Have you seen the Ikea crib called Sniglar? I don't think it has any finish on it at all. It's only $79 dollars and made mostly of solid beech.
Most of the Ikea baby cribs are made in parts of Europe, not China so that wins them points for me.
Also, I'm not sure if your part of Ohio has any Amish groups, but Amish furniture is beautiful and natural. Same designs forever and have always been safe. I'd take a hand me down amish crib over a new chinese crib.
This is where we are buying a lot of baby stuff (mattress, bedding, etc). They have cribs, too.

I am totally looking for the same thing and it seems impossible.
