I know everyone on this board hates it, but I have no problem when people post questions that have already been answered. I know many of you will say they should just run a search but:
1. New people might have joined or lurkers might have finally started sharing their experiences since the last time the question was asked/answered and might have new insight to share that we would never have seen had someone not asked a repeat question.
2. Our board had been pretty slow lately, at least there is something relatively new to look at and discuss by them posting that question.
I've started using Bumpinglish in real life, talking/texting things like "LO", "DD", or "FI" instead of their names. No one has a clue what the hell I'm talking about.
So I got my Nexplanon(birth control arm implant) last Friday and was told to use back up for 7 days. DH hates condoms so our back up was pull&pray. I'm also EBF and haven't had a period so I am hoping I'm ok. Now I'm super paranoid and will probably take a pregnancy test 2 weeks after that.
Some nights (most nights) I feel like I trick LO into sleeping longer. She wakes crying, and I'm sure she could eat been 4 hrs etc, but instead I pick her up and put the paci in and hold her through the night. This seems to soothe her enough and I get sleep. I know she's not starving so I don't even feel bad. Momma wants sleep.

I have the BM ice cube trays (you freeze in one ounce sticks) and I wanted to see how hard they are to get out of this tray or if they would break when tying to pop them out... i popped one out and it fell on the kitchen floor.... it stayed in one piece so J picked it up, looked at it, decided it was "clean", and returned it to the tray.
I'm not down with throwing out perfectly good BM days before I go back to work because it fell on the floor for two seconds and didn't even get dirty...
Another. Since being back to work (1 week) I've spent 9 1/2 hours a day away from LO. And although I worry about her and brag on her sometimes I'm not ready to go get her..being back to work ALONE makes me feel nostalgic and makes me miss my "old" life. I enjoy the alone time and I'm sad that it means being at work. I long to just take a nap or go shopping baby free without guilt. I thought feeling this made me a bad mom..but honestly without a break I CANT take care of herwith all gthe love she needs. A whole 24/7 care thing was making me resent her in a way. And I'm totally not against leaving her at daycare once a week a few hours longer for some me time, it costs the same either way anyhow.

Every time I see BM, I think of bowel movement. Next time you all come across this in a post, replace it with "poop". It's hilarious, and clearly I am an immature 10 year old boy.
I've started to pee in the shower because frankly is rather stay in a hot shower 3 more monies than get out to sit on the toilet. Motherhood is turning me into an adolescent boy.
Started to? I pee every time I'm in the shower! Always have lol
FFFC: I very much sympathize with those who have struggled with infertility, but I wish it weren't so dang easy for me to get pregnant. I'm so freaking out that we won't be able to prevent as long as we would like. Why can't I share some baby dust with those who need it! Some people have too many babies and some not any or have to work super hard for them. It's like some sort of cruel joke or something. I can't handle 3u3! Let me at least make it to having a 4 yo! Please!
Same here! It runs in my family to get pregnant so easily and so I always completely avoid the infertility posts because I feel awful that I was on the pill for 7 years, yet I conceived within 3 days of stopping it, yet some of these wonderful mommies had to wait and try so much longer.
I started back to work afternoons this week. My mom came so that we could delay one more week before starting daycare. I have left earlier than I needed to each day so that I could have lunch with my coworkers or stop for coffee. I totally have that sorrynotsorry feeling!
I taught DD1 how to make coffee on my kurig, so that I don't have to get up and do it. She thinks it's a treat to lick the spoon after adding the creamer!
I also taught DS to bring me the juice container so I don't have to get up to refill his "bippy" eleventy thousand times a day.
My SIL runs an in-home daycare and her first born started school this year. I use the enterovirus D68 as an excuse to not see them every time they are around which is like every freaking weekend.

We haven't been using birth control. I had to actually stop breastfeeding to get pregnant when DS#2 was 16 months old...so I'm not too worried about it. And for 2/3 of my kids we timed it perfect for several months before succeeding...so what are the chances?
(If I'm announcing baby #4 soon...then I guess I'll know!)
DH is getting snipped soon...so we won't have to worry about it for too much longer.
I have another one. I want to sell my house and buy a new one for no good reason other than I love house hunting. We have lived here less than 2 years. I even look at listings online.
@SoSayWeAll I wish I liked house-hunting. I talked my husband out of a two-year position in Italy and a three-year position in Switzerland because I can't imagine having to sell our house. I'm a terrible, selfish, and unsupportive wife.
I just learned that about 50% of you ladies have not tried your own breastmilk. Whereas my boobs are now so big I can try it straight from the source.
Do your tits hang low do they wobble to and fro--can you tie them in a knot can you tie them in a bow? Can you throw them over your shoulder like a continental soldier do your tits hang low....
Here's hoping I can stop singing this before my inlaws come over for dinner.
He he..well I have an oversupply so mostly they stick out like hard implants. I'm afraid your description will be wildly accurate after we're done bfing. :-( they'll go great with my stretch marks.
@YoginiKiki and @SherryBaby2014 : I'm so excited to actually have boobs that actually require a bra that I don't even care what they'll look like after my milk dries up.
I think people who don't wear seatbelts are selfish and complete idiots.
I don't understand how that is actually possible nowadays unless someone drives a REALLY old car- mine chimes at me and turns off my music if I unbuckle. It days: "buckle up to unmute audio." Seriously .

This would make me SO ANGRY. We live in a ranch with lots of gates to open/close - I REGULARLY drive around without my seatbelt on the ranch when I'm out feeding. It just feels like such a pain to buckle/unbuckle at EVERY GATE. Luckily, my husband hacked it somehow with a series of buttons you push, and it turned off the dingers.
But totally agree with you guys that driving on public roads without a seatbelt is stupid beyond stupid.
Okay, this is horrible and when I told my mother I expected a scolding and I didn't get one, so even though it's flame free...I need a slap on the wrist:
We got one of those little stuffed animal blanket things as a gift. Last weekend I put it in the crib with DS since he's grabbing stuff. I check on him in the middle of the night, he's cool, got it snuggled in his armpit. I go and pump and on my way back upstairs he starts screaming. I run into his room and turn on the light and that booger pulled it across his face. He was okay but I cried. I felt so horrible. Thank god he is so active and a fighter and lets us know when he is uncomfortable. Never Again. Even went out and got a sleep sack and removed all the blankets that were even close to the crib.
That's my "first time I almost accidentally killed you" story for my kid
DS is paying me back with a growth spurt and eating 5oz every 2 hours for the past 3 days.

I stalk realtor.com everyday and am quite aware of school rankings and the specific metrics those rankings are based on. We bought our house 2 years ago and don't plan on moving for at least a couple years. It's a problem.
I started an Etsy shop a few weeks back, and I was naively thinking "Hey Etsy, show. me. the. money!".....Weeks later, not a single sale... [-(
Now we must see your etsy shop.
I just read an article about how Etsy now let's people sell things that aren't handmade (read: cheap crap from China)... This has hurt a lot of people's sales
@slippintrippn84 I had a similar moment this morning. I pulled LO into bed around 5 I'm.guessing and I always prop my arm on a pillow and cradle hold.her. I only cover up my one side. Well I woke to her squirming (likely just waking up) but the blanket was totally over her! I ripped it off so fast. But now I'm.terrified. as I thought I paid way more attention. I'm bound to stop this habit. That scared me.
