Re: FFFC 10/10

  • I still haven't figured out how to get baby in the car when it's raining without me getting soaking wet.

I don't have a garage, I need one hand to carry baby, pump, and diaper bag and one hand to carry my keys and purse. Where am I supposed to fit in an umbrella?

I'm sitting in my office still damp, because it rained this morning. :(

  • Loading the player...
  • I think about selling my breast milk because...easy money. I'll never do it though because id feel guilty. Their are so many babies who need it. Donating it is....but man it'd be nice to make the money.

  • My husband has been away on business since Wednesday morning. At night I have this irrational fear of someone breaking into the house and taking Maddie or hurting us. No reason for this at all- we live in a nice neighborhood and have an alarm system.

FFFC: I opened and closed the gun vault in our room like 5 times to make sure I had access to my S&W MP40. What good it would do with no loaded clip I'm not sure but it made me feel better.
  • I failed at gif in the first post so edited it to an image instead.

I secretly get extremely angry when Americans tell me the way I take my tea is weird.

Sometimes I leave the pump running when I'm upstairs so it sounds like I'm busy and my family will leave me alone. It's the only way to get a few minutes peace.

Tea with milk and sugar by chance? Yummy.

My ex was British and he used to make PG Tips with milk and sugar. One of the only things if I had to say I missed something about him.

Take 2 trips to the car.  1 with all the "stuff" and one with the baby and use an umbrella for both trips.  Not that hard to do (we don't have a garage either and I've got a 2 year old and baby to get in and out plus all their stuff).

My FFFC, I didn't get what the hoopla about not changing a baby at night was about yesterday.  If DD wakes up, sure I'll go ahead and change her, but I'm not about to go in and change her diaper if she's sleeping. Do people actually change baby's diaper in the MOTN if baby hasn't woken up?
Agreed - I was just thinking about that this morning.  I don't wake my kid up. But obviously if she gets up I'll change her.  It wasn't very clear in that post.

YES! I can take it without sugar but not without milk. Same with coffee so my OH makes me make my own, something about milk in coffee being an abomination...
    And yet he'll drink cappuccino
    :-?
  • @darkangel42‌ he just doesn't know what's good for him. Pretty sure I once read an article that said coffee was more effective or something with milk and sugar in it... Now I will go crazy looking for it.
  • Big Baby Grr needs to go to the doc today (his cough isn't getting better). I could take him in the am, or Mister could take him in the afternoon. They offered me my choice of appointments. I picked the afternoon so Mister would have to take him since Mister is out and about all day tomorrow having fun and I'm home with sick baby.

Now you know that thing is ugly! :)

I was trying to avoid two trips, but I guess I'll just have to do that. I'm too tired to figure out another way to do it.

Get all your bags packed and loaded in the car the night before.  I will do that (except for my pump because I'll pump a fresh bottle in the morning for DD). I also have to load up a sleepy 2 year old and a fat infant in a car seat.  I'm a pack mule for sure.

  • I'm wasting time online until the office (in another timezone) opens so I can harass them (again) about not getting paid (again). I should be working but I want to get some shopping done online and can't until they pay me.

  • It's taking all of my energy to resist writing a nastygram to my husband's 2 brothers and sister. Their mom's birthday is tomorrow and the oldest two decided (last night about 9 pm) that they want to do a "family dinner" for her birthday. My husband is the youngest, but the only one married with an infant (the sister has grown children).

The 3 inlaws conference called my husband to tell him about the plans they made, that he is expected to go along with. When he said he had already made plans with his mom for tomorrow, they all ganged up on him.

Oh. And by "family" they mean mom, dad and the 4 siblings. My daughter and I aren't "family" in their view.

They are morons. And will lose their brother if they don't get their shit together. Making DH choose between me and them will end up with them being the loser. Every freaking time.
  • I was ugly to DS the other night because he was testing me an acting out.  I swatted his leg and it was way harder than I intended it to be.  I put him to bed early and he just cried and cried asking for his daddy while I sat there telling him that he needed to lay down and go to sleep.  I ended up laying down with him and cried and told him I loved him.  I really need to learn to reign in my patience with him.  He's still so little and trying to figure out his way of the world.  I've always said that spanking a kid isn't the answer and I've done it more times than I cared to.  Timeouts work just as well for him so that's the method I'm sticking to.

I have been there with my 2 year old. I have never spanked him but I was so tired one night I lost it and did what you did. I felt so bad after and we both cried. It happens, don't be too hard on yourself. The adjustment to 2 kids is so hard. Good luck mama!

I just watched the final episode of Breaking Bad. DO NOT TELL HER HOW YOU TAKE YOUR TEA!

This is how I am with yelling. I try not to be a yeller but sometimes, especially when I'm extra tired, I snap and I feel so horrible afterward.

I've always said I understand spanking in a moment of frustration way more than the method some people use of waiting until everyone is calm so that they can explain why the spanking is occurring. I haven't spanked but I feel like if I ever did, it would be 10x more likely to happen in the heat of the moment than an hour later when everyone's cooled down? I dunno.

  • I have an odd obsession with North Korea. I'm totally trolling the web trying to find more theories as to why Kim Jong Un hasn't been seen in public for over a month.
Soon this will answer all your questions!

    Hey girl... :>
  • I am registered with one major political party but regularly vote for and donate to candidates of the other party.

This would be me too. Minus the donating part because my FINRA licenses only allow me to donate such a small amount that I don't bother. My husband makes fun of me because of this.

I don't plan on watching it but why would anyone do any of that to tea?! Chammile in the MORNING? SOY MILK?! SWEETENER?! I need to lie down...
  • I feel like as a "scrunchy" mom I should be against kids on leashes.

    I am not.

I think it's because my brother was almost kidnapped as a child so there is no doubt in my mind that it brought my parents some kind of peace.

I have to lock me, baby and the dogs in my room every night my husband is away because of the same fear. Maybe I'm watching too much CRiminal Minds. I hate when he is away I can never sleep

I always use the excuse that he needs bonding time with her when he gets back to get a few hours to myself

LOVE criminal minds. Between that and SVU, it's a wonder I sleep at all :-/

And @darkangel42‌ agreed on the tea :-)

What's the difference between "scrunchy" mom and "crunchy" mom?
people are suggesting we use them against Ebola
    This is happening?
Yeah isn't that nuts? I mean I saw it on Pinterest so it was probably some really dumb blog post.
