  I was going to have leftover chili during the 1st Blues game of the year (LGB!) but then I realized I'm already having leftover chili for lunch, and that just won't do (why is there no farting emoticon?!). Inspire me, J13!

  This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
  DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
  131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....

  We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

  tortellini minestrone soup!  I am thinking of maybe starting it in the crock pot this afternoon and then just adding the fresh pasta and greens closer to dinner time so I can get most of the prep out of the way ahead of time.

  Thanks for mentioning tortellini minestrone @denverbride. We have everything we need from the CSA box to make it and frozen tortellini I have been meaning to use. Yum.

  Baked beans were a fine substitute, and Lilly chowed down on them like they were the best food ever. Lucky break, I guess.
