I have a scheduled ultrasound this month and I will be 17w and 2days. Then they will be able to tell me the gender of the baby, but Im wondering if it would be too early? Has anyone had one at this time? Im just afraid they wont be able to see their little part @-) .
I don't really know. I assume if they wanted to schedule you at that time, they must feel that they will be able to see something. good luck.
I don't think that will be too early at all. I have known people to find out before then. If your doctor has any doubts or isn't 100 percent sure I would think that they would say so.
So is this an elective, or is this your anatomy scan? If it's an elective, yes, they'll be able to tell you just fine, the place I go to does them from 15 weeks on. They know when they'll be able to tell you or not, their livelihood kind of depends on it.
If your Dr scheduled it as your post seems to imply, I'd prepare for a possible shitstorm, because that is NOT scheduled to tell you the gender, it's for really important things like whether your baby has all its parts and functioning organs.
These are two very different kinds of ultrasounds for completely different purposes. The experiences I've seen suggest the boutique ultrasound places are generally better able to tell the sex since that's what they do all day.
Due with #5 April 22, 2015. It's a girl!!!!!
Yes it was planned, yes we know what causes that, no we are not on public assistance, and yes we will be getting cable after this.
