Janda426, nobody's going to play into your antics. I simply don't have the time. I come here to speak my mind in a respectable way. If you can't do the same then don't comment on my post. I'm grown just like you regardless of age so let's act our ages and be respectful. No need for your rudeness, I can do without. Thanks!

If by antics you mean logic, then I know. Neither of you are into that sort of thing it would appear.

Aren't you presh though - "don't comment on my post" LOL let me know how that works out for you.
  • @etoille The first comment I received was negative and implying I was a rude person. And the comments didn't stop after that. I asked for advice and didn't receive it until a few comments ago. Share in whose joy? No one had anything nice to say to me so there was no joy to share in... LOL
  • @etoille and the most recent people who decided to actually respond and tell me what I was doing right and wrong in a decent way I thanked and gave the same respect back to.

LOL that you think the entire boards happenings are in this one post created by you. Go look in a thread created by someone sharing a good ultrasound, or who just found the sex of their child, or be here for those who have received not so good news. You're not doing a good job of showing us you don't actually think the world revolves around you.
  • @thejucheidea Annnnd you're back. I know what the disorder is and I deal with excessive anxiety as do many of my family members not that it's any of your business. OCD is an anxiety disorder. No need to sit there and waste your time finding a link and explaining it. Better luck next time you try to be a smart ass and make a point LOL. Bye!

Back? I'm here regularly and comment on a bunch of different threads. I think most of the regs here recognize who I am, unlike you.

OCD is not simply an anxiety disorder -- it's absolutely crippling. I have GAD and bipolar disorder and while those are tasks to deal with, my friend with severe OCD has to see her therapist twice a week, can't be out after 8, spent three years watching the same Gilmore Girls episode at the same time every night because she thought that if she didn't she would die in her sleep, can't fly on planes without panic attacks... and meds don't really do a whole lot when it comes to OCD. I don't like seeing people flippantly using 'OCD' because it's so personal to me, seeing my friend suffer and not being able to do much more than talk to her and send her everything pumpkin spice I find.

So really, don't play me. Flippancy with OCD is as bad as flippancy on the sex vs. gender topic with me.

  • @happmamax2 @etoille I'm barely even understanding how this site works and I just recently realized there was a community and people to interact with. I made one other post which was asking how this site works and I got a direct answer. But I hope you had fun lurking on my profile trying to find anything you possibly could to get dirt on me. I don't need anything spelled out for me, I need decent people who don't sit and talk shit and actually realize I just recently joined and can see I may not understand the way this works. And if you have nothing better to do then worry about my actions then bye.
  • Okay, have fun arguing with yourselves now! Good bye and best of luck in all your pregnancies! :)

Actually you made two other threads, neither of which you responded to. It's not that difficult to click on your name and see your post history. TB made it a feature for a reason.

See ya. Take your offensive misuse of psychological disorders with you.
  • I passed out so many love tits.

  • @mangomimosa @RQuinlin I appreciated both of you explaining the etiquette and do's & don'ts for a baby shower. My thank you's to you both were genuine. I apologize if you felt I came off flouncy to you both.

'Flouncy' means that you flounced, which is getting angry and leaving in a fluster. So... are you back or something?

This is my original post so I can come and go as I please, I said bye to you and a few other women who were trying to argue. I apologized to those women because they were the only one's who had a little respect and responded to my initial questions with an actual answer. Stop worrying about my life and keeping tabs on every little thing I say. Take you, your wanna be intelligent remarks and your unhappy ass elsewhere.

I feel like I tried to explain this all to her in the very beginning of things. I don't believe I was rude at all and she gave me love tits on most of it. It bothers me when they say they never got any "support" or respect until the very end. And truly, most of the problem happened when the WK showed up! Until then, OP was mostly listening and receptive! Oh well.

@crunchymamaof2 explained things nicely to her also

    --end quote--

You wanna talk about respect and then speak to people this way. Smh

Also- pretty sure neither I or @crunchymamaof2 were rude in our original responses. But acknowledging that like everyone who responded wasn't disrespectful as you say would probably kill you.

Also do you think saying bye dismisses someone from the thread you created? Does it say that anywhere?
  • I think you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable and happy. Your friends, family, and whoever attends your shower will be fine with whatever you choose to do, especially since you're only inviting the important women in your life. If someone is disappointed they didn't get an invite, you can tell them you were trying to keep it small, but would love to have them attend, and that you're sorry you made them feel left out.

If someone is disappointed they didn't get an invite to a small baby shower, they need to reassess their priorities. You (the guest of honor) should not feel guilty for that, nor do you need to apologize. A simple statement that the party was kept small is all that is necessary.

You're probably right on this. I tend to apologize for everything. ;)
