Baby announcement/thank you card etiquette question

So I was totally on top of thank you cards before the baby came, but we ended up getting a bunch of gifts after he was born. Now I also have baby announcements to send out. Is it poor form to put a thank you card in the same envelope as the baby announcement and save a stamp? 49 cents per stamp adds up fast! Shouldn't new moms get a pass on this Miss Manners crap? :)

Re: Baby announcement/thank you card etiquette question

  • I'd honestly think it would be ok. I really don't see why it wouldn't be

  • For the group of Thank You cards I had to send out around when I sent out the birth announcements I just put the two things in the same envelope.
