NBR: So grossed out

I just drove through McDonalds with my son because we had been out for a few hours and he was getting hungry. I ordered a double cheeseburger for myself and his cheeseburger with no pickle and a small fry. First they wrung everything up wrong, then he got a pickle on his cheeseburger (no big deal I just pulled it off). Then I took a bite into my cheeseburger and there was a wad, not just a single hair, a wad of hair in my cheeseburger. I can't believe I didn't puke all over the car. I am not a McDonalds fan to begin with, but that did me in. NEVER AGAIN.

Does anyone else have any gross fast food stories they want to share?

@MrsTinMKE no I was so almost back home by the time I got my sons set up and handed to him and took a bite. Plus I didn't want them to tell me I could just have a new one; I was too grossed out.

  • Take a picture and write to McDonald's corporate via their website.  They are typically very responsive with issues like this.

  • Ugh... My son and I had cheeseburgers from McDonald's today, too. Thanks for that.
  • @waterlilly11 That's what I keep telling myself. Because I wasn't going to get McDonalds and then I felt too lazy after a long day of running around. Very disappointed in myself haha.  :-&

  • I'm not saying fast food is good for you, by any means. But that does not mean we should expect to get hair in our food. Also, disgusting shit can be found in ALL food. My husband found (and by found I mean bit into) bugs in his canned chicken noodle soup before.

  • To be honest, as someone who's husband went through the management training for McDonald's and worked other food service jobs McDonald's food safety protocols are some of the most strict in the country. It's almost obnoxious how much DH has carried over to his home good preps especially since I have been pregnant.

That being said, you can't control the shit heads that don't give a crap about you or your food.
  • @swizz09 I wasn't blaming the company as a whole but that's why I didn't go back to complain if they are that careless once I Dont want to try again.

I would ABSOLUTELY complain, though. To corporate.

  • Oh I know. You might find that if you go in (rationally that is, I learned that no one listens to you if you go in all BSC) the managers tend to care a bit more. They are in charge of the store and probably want to know if stuff like that happens.
  • I do know, however that there are some really down and dirty people out there.

My husband was told he didn't deserve his job and that he was a horrible person just because the customer had to wait 2 extra minutes for a fresh hamburger...
