In Praise of CD

I know we wouldn't all be here if we didn't already like CDing, but let's all say our favorite thing. (Cause I'm a nerd!) As a mom CDing for a whole 2 weeks, my favorite things are

1.)They're so freaking cute!

2.) No leaks or blow-outs with cloth!

3.) A diaper pail that smells of nothing! while the disposables we used the first 2 weeks reeked!

I don't feel trashy letting my girls run around in just a diaper (or dress/skirt without shorts).
I'm not throwing $0.20+ away every time I change a diaper
And definitely having the ability to use the same diaper for my 2yr old or my 4 month old!

Seeing the look of disgust on other people's faces when I tell them I cloth diaper and that I clean my diapers in the same washer that I clean my clothes in.

I love to catch people off guard.

DH keeps telling me I'm not a better mom just because I don't use disposables but I don't believe him.

A friend of mine recently told me I'm awesome bc I breastfeed, cloth diaper, and make my own baby food/do blw. I won't lie and say it didn't make my head swell a little

It gives me something to buy and obsess over that is actually useful, my house doesn't smell like disposables, and DD has never had a diaper rash from all the disposable chemicals... I now actually feel bad for putting DS in disposables when he was in diapers
