Hi, this is my first kid and I was just wondering when y'all felt y'alls first baby kick? I haven't even felt the "butterfly" feelings either.! Just worried is all.
Dont be worried. The normal zone for feeling first movement is 16-26 weeks. You are not alone on this board either. Unless you are over 26 weeks there is no cause for concern, i know its hard not to be anxious. Hopefully you'll feel your little lovebug soon.

There are many of us in your boat. Could be an anterior placenta. Could be feeling it and not realizing it. Your doctor will tell you when to worry--I think it's like 24 weeks.
Do you know the placement of your placenta? I have an anterior placenta, and I didn't feel the baby until almost 22 weeks. Many with an AP don't feel the baby until 22 or 23 weeks.
I felt mine a little early around 15-16wks, but I 100% agree with all the comments above. I wouldnt be worried right now unless your doctor said there is a reason to worry.

I have been wondering if I have an anterior placenta. The only ultra sounds I've had are 9 weeks and 13 weeks. I'm going in October 8th (and hopefully learning the gender) and I was definitely thinking of asking my doctor if she'd check my placenta.
I was told I had an anterior at 12 weeks. I thought I felt movement a couple of weeks ago, but haven't felt anything since, so I'm not sure anymore. I'm in the 19th week, and not feeling anything consistently.
I'm 21wks and still no feelings yet of baby moving. I have an anterior placenta, found out at our last appointment with the ultrasound. I was relieved to see our very active baby moving! Now just ready to feel him or her!!!

Your doctor should tell you where your placenta sits during your a/s; mine did, its all part of the scan review I believe. This too is my first and I thought I had an AP too, but no, its on the upper left side of my uterus. So I am just assuming that me not feeling anything until a week or two ago, was just because I had a hard time telling the difference between movement and gas. Now that I know the difference, and a little further along, I can totally feel her now and differentiate between the two feelings; there are subtle differences. Don't worry, you'll probably be feeling your LOs movement during, or just after, the a/s. My little girl was so angry at me for having the ultrasound that my cervix and bladder paid the price for 2 days!
I am 20 weeks and had my anatomy scan yesterday. I was told by the tech that I have an anterior placenta and probably won't feel anything for a few more weeks. Don't worry. You will feel them soon.
I am a FTM also and will be 21 weeks on Thursday. I have not felt any movement yet either, and was beginning to worry. I'm grateful for all you Bump ladies...It's good to know I'm not the only one!
I am at 22 weeks and started feeling movement about three weeks ago but it's only about once a week if even that close together. The movement is so I frequent I'm not even 100% sure it is actually maybe movement. My doctor seemed to think so but this is my first so I'm not so sure myself!!
Re: 21 weeks and no movement?!?
