Medela pump users - dumb question

So, I somehow got the yellow valve stuck on the connector part. It used to come off so I could wash inside the connector easily. Now it will not come off and I don't know what I did. Even my husband can't separate it from the connector. Did I break it somehow?

    I have the same issue; I often clean it stuck together. In fact, mine are stuck right now. I guess I'll have to muscle them apart like everyone's saying here.

    Ive had this happen a few times also. I usually get a spoon and use the rounded part to pry the yellow part off the connector. Works every time!

    Pliers! I keep a set in my kitchen for this exact reason! Wrap the yellow bit in a dish towel then gently pull it off using the pliers.

    Yeah, I take off the membrane to get a better grip and rock it back and forth while pulling.
