AW: A/S and Team We Know But We're Not Telling Yet

Sorry. For now, you get the less exciting but just as equally important details. 

Little is perfect. S/he was moving around so much that they couldn't get all the images of the heart they needed, and I have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan. 

The only thing off was I have placenta previa. The placenta is too low. They're going to check that again at 28 weeks and hope that it moves. 

Other than that, I'l happy to report that everything is going smoothly. Emotions are high this month. October isn't good for me, and that adds to my anxiety. I barely slept last night because I was so nervous they were going to find something wrong. But today I can breathe and hopefully get a nap later.

    Congrats on a great a/s!!! I'm sorry about the placenta previa, hopefully it resolves on its own. Are you planning on announcing the sex before birth or will you wait? I am sorry that October is hard for you. I have to go back for repeat heart pictures, too.

    Yay for a great scan. FX your placenta resolves itself! FWIW, with my DD, I had a low lying placenta but it moved and all was fine. :)

    Great news!

    I also had placenta previa and it cleared up within 4 weeks of my first being told I had it.  Hopefully it will be the same for you.  :)

    Good for you for keeping your secret safe. I've always stood by team green, but this time I've blurted out our "secret" at every possible turn. Sigh.

    Most of all, congratulations on s great scan. I don't have a lot of experience with previa, but I know it can resolve itself.

    Yay!! Congrats on a great scan!! I am the only one IRL who knows the sex of our baby, not even DH, so I have had to AW it all over TB!! Good for you keeping your secret, for me it feels awesome that myself and this LO have something special between us already since only her and I know!

    I also had to go back for a second scan of the heart since we couldn't see it the first time, and was diagnosed with a partial previa but will go back to see if it has shifted up at 28w.

    Hooray! Congrats on healthy little baby!

    Try not to worry about the previa if you can - almost all the placentas get out of the way eventually :) 

    And it must be fun to know if you're having a son or daughter, even if you're keeping it quiet!!

    Amazing news uneek! Congratulations!! 

    Your a/s sounds exactly like mine was. We couldn't get all of the pictures of squirmy miss' heart and I had a previa. But in the end, we got the pictures we needed at the next scan and the previa resolved itself by 30 weeks.

    Sounds like the scan went well. It's pretty common to need a second scan to see the heart better...and I know of several people with previa at mid-pregnancy that went on to have it resolve itself.

    And you're a poop for not telling :P

    Ps. I totally get having a particular month that's hard. November is that for me. Both losses happened in November. To put it mildly, I was terrified to be pregnant with C during November. But you know what, she got here just fine...and your squish will, too. <3

    Yay for a great scan!

    I found out last Thursday that my placenta is too low as well.  Maybe we should have a placenta race. A bit of placental competition to encourage movement
