Soo how many of us will have our babies or go into labor because of this event??? My niece turns 19 and she thinks her cousin will be born also

curious weather she is right!! Guess we shall see!

Typically lots of babies are born around full moons......fingers crossed mine is one of them!

I will be 38+5. That would be awesome of it happens that day again. I was 38+6 with my first one. And he was 4 days before the full moon so we shall see if it has any effect this time around. My first was also a scheduled CS and he came earlier than planned so who knows.

I was just wondering about this! The triage nurses have told me that they notice a huge uptick in the amount of births when there is a full moon!

I'm scheduled the day before so glad for that as in sure the hospital will get busy. When we toured the hospital we didn't get to see the rooms or the nursery (Nicu was full and they had to use the nursery) because of a super moon crazy labor weekend and all the rooms were full.

I'm still hoping to hold out until my due date on the 10th, but I'm awfully glad this is my last weekend at work since full moons do bring in lots of crazies.

@saphireshimmer you have bronchitis too? I keep praying that every day mine goes away. I hope you get better quicker than its taking me. I am going on week 4

@flyingcmama my last weekend at work is the weekend after the super moon, I know what you mean about the crazies coming out. Maybe it will settle down between wednesday and saturday...though unlikely.

That's MHs birthday so I have mixed feelings. Don't want LO to have to share bdays especially if it turns out to be a boy (we're planning on naming him junior) all the paper work in life would be a nightmare! Same name same birthday, no thanks.

Weird. I just dreamed that they were going to induce me on the 8th. I see no reason for that or to assume LO will be here by then. Guess only time will tell.

Well, not sure if it counts - but my induction was just scheduled for Oct. 8th....so I'll be on the list if I don't go naturally beforehand!

ETA: Maybe I should think about moving it to the 9th....the hospitals might be very full!!! lol

My coworker and I just looked this up today. I had an appointment yesterday and the dr said I could go at any time so we were trying to guess today when we thought it would be. She mentioned the full moon so we looked up the date. I will be 38w6d on the 8th so we shall see. The dr is already talking about stripping my membrane or scheduling an induction. I don't think I will make it to my due date (16th).

My due date is the 7th my guess has been the 8th (or later) for awhile so count me in with the moon! Moon cycles mess with my mood so this wouldn't surprise me.

i'm due on the 17th but DH's bday is on the 13th so we're really hoping that DS is born on or around that date... so i really hope that the full moon doesn't have any effect on me because i totally want to avoid the craziness at the hospital,
