Baby Names

middle name for Kathryn

I think we have picked the name Kathryn for our baby girl. I am looking for a good middle name. Our last name is 1 syllable and starts with a C. Some that I have thought of are Elise, Belle, Brooke, faith and Noelle. Which do you like best? Any suggestions?
Ok well I just eliminated faith. I dont want her to be fried chicken lol!

  • It will be spelled Kathryn after my grandmother. It isn't a unique or trendy variation. It is a legitimate spelling with a long history.

  • I love Elizabeth with it, but I feel there are probably a million and one Kathryn/Catherine/Katherine Elizabeths. It is a very classy/classic name.

  • Katherine Brooke is a character in Anne of Windy Poplars.  The name is not a problem, but all I can think of is that character -- who was portrayed by Rosemary Dunsmore in Anne of Avonlea/Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (though the plot of the tv movie and the books are very different.)

I can't even begin to explain how over Belle/Bella and all the variants I am.

I worry about the double N sound at the end of Kathryn and the beginning of Noelle, the names might run together if you're saying them fast.  And the flow when you saying them slow is not the best.

I prefer Elyse spelled this way, but have no objections to the name.

My initial thoughts were Lucille, Melissa, or Suzanne.
