My freaking neighbors just knocked on my door to tell me my newborn was being too noisy.. Really? You have a 3 year old and MY kids is the noisy one? I'll just hit that handy dandy mute feature all baby's come with. Couldn't believe them
B&M - our internet has been down all afternoon. Hopefully it can be fixed tomorrow. It's hard to mobile bump without our cell phone booster because we have such crap service at home.
Why does my 11 day old poop with such force? I've never had a child that was that loud when he/she pooped every single time!
Dd1 did an absolutely wonderful job writing and giving her student council election speech. She didn't get elected because those little asshats of classmates like to vote for kids that are funny rather than serious and would do a great job.
Went to the grocery store alone with a 3yr old, the newborn and 13yr old for the first time today. Oddly the teenager was the one I had to bitch at about getting the toddler all wound up. Go figure. But hey, we all survived.
I'm also kinda pissed with dh. I was scrolling through some movies on demand and he has already watched all of the interesting movies. Thanks. Guess I'll watch them on my own when you go back to work.
FFFC: I've always wanted a large family, but as of right now, I'm thinking one and done. Maybe its the sleep deprivation talking, but I can't imagine handling a newborn as well as toddlers.
@redbaramid I'm on BP medication too and iron as well. I had to do the magnesium immediately after delivery. My bp has stayed between 118/80 and 120/84 which for me is excellent. Hopefully the meds help you too! Pre-eclampsia sucks!
Finally! My September Siggy Challenge: TV Show I'll Be Binge Watching

I would have laughed in their face... because we LOVE hearing our infant scream/cry...
All this to say - who would take a 4 week old baby to a pumpkin patch on their own? I think it's so dumb when people take their babies out places when their kid is clearly not getting anything out of the experience. Seriously your 4 month old does not care about the elephants. It's one thing when you've got older kids but just taking your baby is dumb.
Maybe the mom needs to get of the house. Maybe she likes pumpkin patches. Maybe she's trying to meet other moms.
Why does it bother you so much? It certainly has no bearing whatsoever on your life.
100% agree with this. Also that's like saying you shouldn't take the baby on walks because "he's not getting anything out of it." Also, maybe she needs some damn pumpkins! Sorry she didn't leave the baby at home, damn.

I've always heard that you shouldn't make any decisions about having more kids in the first year of your baby's life. During DD's first 3 months I absolutely wanted to be OAD, even though I had always said I wanted 3 kids. She was fussy, I was a mess, and I told DH I was never doing it again. Well things got better and here we are with #2 already. And IMO, the second one is much easier because I knew what to expect and have already done it once. Hang in there, I know how you feel.

Totally agree with @sparklegrump. DH and I took LO to the zoo last weekend and he slept through most of it. We love the zoo and it was a beautiful day. We also are planning on going to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch this fall. We don't have any other kids. I don't get why others would care.
ETA ahhh words!
DH and I went apple picking and walked around tge kiddie cillage before we had kids... Even before we got married... Almost a tradition now!
I'm not sure why someone would get so upset or think it is dumb to go somewhere with your baby. DH and I have gone to the pumpkin patch every year we've been together. We ride the hay wagon, get donuts, drink cider, pick out pumpkins then go home and have a pumpkin carving contest. So now that we have a baby we are supposed to halt our tradition until she can "get something out of the experience"?
So, LO had been on the boob, all dang day. Hoping this means he will sleep a little better tonight than he did today. Please, baby, let mama get some sleep tonight.
