Since you ladies are so helpful and have tons of experience, I was hoping to get some insight into what could be going on with E.
Because her reflux has been so bad, I tend to freak out when anything is out of the ordinary. She was doing amazingly well lately until a couple of weeks ago, and since then we are back to having episodes of screaming in pain, gas, mucousy poops, lots of spit up, all of that stuff.
We actually saw her paediatrician today. We refilled her prescriptions, and she gave me the new higher dose that I can increase to. About the poop, E had apples for the first time the other day and didn't do well with them at all. But paediatrician said that they should be out of her system in 24-48 hours, which has now passed. She had one poop earlier today that was thicker like her poops have been and with not quite as much mucous, and just had another that was mainly mucous with white chunks and bits in it. Should I be freaking out over this? Or is that still normal at her age? She is 8 months and eats breastmilk, PurAmino formula, and solids. She has spit up bile on more than one occasion so part of me is always afraid that there is something other than reflux going on, and the white in the poop is scary. Her mood has been pretty good but she is a tough little cookie because she has been in pain so much, so a little clingy-ness or sleep disturbance usually means something.
Any opinions or experiences or hugs are welcome!
