FFFC .... And boob pics

anyone do something inflammatory?

My fffc is lame but whatever:

I assume people are lying when they give examples from their real life that "happened to a friend". Or for that matter the grocery cart FULL of pop and person pays with food stamps....um how do you know it's food stamps and really? Their cart was FULL of pop. This is how my skeptical mind works.

I'd already said this but it's pretty easy to see (where I live anyway) if someone is paying by EBT. It pops up on the payment screen when they're checking out (I also have been on food stamps in the past- while in college and before getting married). Just my 2c.

I appreciate the skepticism in general though, I also like to question just about everything. People take too much at face value, IMO.

My FFFC: I just bought a 2 person supply of what is currently an experimental drug for ebola over the internet at an Indian pharmaceuticals site. Yep. I have now reached a new level of paranoid crazy person (to be clear, I don't intend on popping pills while pregnant, or well EVER...but yeah).

Eta: the drug is actually an approved med for HIV, but is being used experimentally for ebola. I don't have THAT kind of clout :)

Oh I am sure you were telling the truth from experience it's just my brain. I question EVERYONE.

Like "oh you're 7 months pregnant? Really?

  • This week was MH's birthday so we got someone to watch DD last night and went out to a really nice dinner.  I wanted to die of tiredness the entire time. I tried to make the best of it, but I was yawning, staring off into space, and basically just waiting for the dinner to be over so I could go home to bed. I also felt full after only a few bites and barely ate my meal (I did bring it home though.) I think MH felt rushed because he knew how tired I was and I felt so badly for ruining such a nice birthday dinner and a nice night out. :(

  • More dance critiques:

Dipsy is way to into the move.
    Tinku Winky is kinda twerking.
Laa Laa is half assing it by marching in place.
Po seems to be the only one making it passable.

God lord...I need to get out of bed and start breakfast...that is what a sane person would do in this case, right?

Why do you know their names?!

    That takes skill.

  • I'm working from home today because I have a doctor's appointment.  I will likely be around here a lot today.  ;)

FFFC: I purposely kept my toddler from knowing about any kid shows that I find annoying.  He has no idea about Telletubbies or Barney or SpongeBob.  He loves Dinosaur Train right now, and it's actually interesting enough that we enjoy watching it with him.  He's currently laying on his little couch, learning about how the stegosaurus used their plates to keep cool. No regrets.  ;)
Along these lines, I started telling DD right from the start that Calliou is bad. I haven't even seen it but I've heard so many complaints from others that I didn't want her to get sucked in. We watch Doc McStuffins because I like it.

It's the voice.  Calliou has the most annoying voice in the world.  He doesn't love it - I think we watched one and I was like, "nope, that's not happening in my house."  ;)  We haven't watched Doc McStuffins.  I'll see how he feels about that one.  He also really likes Curious George, which is a great throwback to my childhood, so I don't mind that one either.

I think kissing kids on the lips is weird. I'm not going to kiss my kids on the lips, and I'm not going to let anyone else do it either. Also, where are the boob pics?!

^^This.  But I also won't show anyone the ultrasound picture that proves I'm having a boy either.  I'm also banning people from taking any bath time/naked baby pictures of my son.

My FFFC: DH got pretty tipsy after watching the Vikings get massacred last night.  He's such a bed hog when he drinks so I made him sleep in the guest room.  I haven't slept that well in forever!  I don't think I'll ever be able to kick him out for good, but it's going to happen more often!!

  • @AJIrishMama‌ Don't feel bad. I have had two losses. While I think about them and they have made me a bit more paranoid this pregnancy, the geneticist and theologian in me keeps saying that they happened for a reason.

  • I have another confession.  My shower is tomorrow, I can't stop checking my registry.  I need someone to come here and pinch me every time I type buybuybaby.com.
My FFFC: My shower is next week and I am constantly registry-stalking as well.  The worst part - I can't help but feel a little sad when there isn't anything new purchased.  I am a horribly selfish twat-bag  :((
  • I have a bad FFFC -  My husband and I share a laptop at home and he usually goes to bed after me.  He left his gmail account open last night and I may have clicked on a purchase confirmation email he got out of curiosity.  And now I know what some of my Christmas gifts are.  I totally wish I hadn't, because I like surprises.  I've never snooped on his email before - usually when he leaves it open I just sign out right away, but that purchase confirmation just called out to me.
