Today was supposed to be my last day in the office (induction is 2 weeks from today!), but I decided to come in tomorrow to print a ton of publications I'd like to have around while home, and also to catch up with a few colleagues. I will be working from home until the day before my induction, and I'm starting to get overwhelmed by all the work I want to do while home.
DH has a cold and I'm paranoid I'm going to get it. But, he's working from home, so I'm sending him to BBB to pick-up the crib mattress and a few other items. Woo!
We have a dinner reservation tomorrow at 9pm that I really don't want to lose, so selfishly, I hope he feels better asap.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
Feeling alright. Everything hurts and I'm exhausted. Lactation consultant suggested a nipple shield after doing some sucking exercises with her. My nipples are sooo sore from her latching wrong and excessive attempts at pumping with flanges that were too big. but we tried the nipple shield and finally got her to latch right and there was a little colostrum! We're getting somewhere. Because she came out sunny side up, they're having a physical therapist do a cranial massage on her because infants born facing up often have sore face muscles and suck wrong. Its been a struggle!
This is how I am working (or bumping today) She is wedged between me and the couch with her feet resting up on my bump. She is not going to be happy when this baby is here. She doesn't leave my side!
Is anyone else having their tubes tied with this baby (especially momma's who have had their little ones already)? Just seeing if it changed much with your recoveries...
I am getting my tubes tied with my c/s I have been wondering the same thing. I am younger and have 1 other, but I don't know anyone who had their tubes tied. @krazyinsane
Note to self: pre-pregnancy tights are not a realistic option at this stage in the game. I feel like all blood flow to my legs is being restricted after wearing these for a few hours and am tempted to rip them off in a fit of pregnancy rage.
I did this the other day. I really didn't think there would be THAT big of a difference. There totally was.

Okay, I'm not really a cat person (gasp, I know!), but this is pretty darn cute.
Sorry if this has already been covered, but I haven't been on here much the past couple of days.
Someone who I don't know at all (who seems to only have made 2 posts ever on this board) posted about their birth on my wall. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm normally only on mobile, so I just noticed this today because it was a few days ago.

Ok I'm back and mobile bumping. I was just laying down for no other reason that...well...because pregnant...and I was wondering to myself, what if my water breaks and I have a slow leak and don't realize it?? To which I started singing "Slow leak" to the tune of Foghat's Slow Ride.
Good luck to all you lucky notches that may be having a baby today!
I think today is my LB's induction but I haven't heard from her. @JJsMum what's the status of your ute?!
Well, it was supposed to be today, but when I called in at 5 am, all the beds were full. Apparently everyone In the area wanted their squish today So now I'll either get a call to go in later today, or I get to call in at 5am again tomorrow. Lucky for me, DH got up with the boys and let me sleep in til the glorious hour of 10 am today!
@golfingdarwinfish I know, it's complete BS, now is NOT the time for this malarkey! I'm not sure if my MFM has spoken to theirs or not. However my MFM visits me 2 x per day so, when they pop in this afternoon I will be sure to ask them! I know they have spoken with the ins comp & filed appeals on my behalf just uncertain of this detail! Thanks for thinking of this, it's a great point! I will be sure to let you know! See, that's why your our smartest bumpie
Me: 37, DH: 42 Married March 22, 2003 TTC since early 2006, Fertility treatments since 02/2013 First Pregnancy with Twins EDD 10.24.2014
I have a bad habit (aka tradition or manifestation of my laziness) where I stop by IHOP to pick up pancakes after my OB appointments each week. I called my order in today and when I got there to pick it up, realized I didn't have my wallet.
So I went home and got it and went back for my pancakes.
And apparently the lady there knows me from all my visits and my order and knew who I was as soon as I walked in. Cravings much??!?
But, I mean...pancakes.
I was lying in bed last night thinking about pumpkin cheesecake. So this mornin I got up and made pumpkin walnut pancakes.
Question: the grout in my bathtub needs to be cleaned. I know grout cleaning signifies nesting level 87. I am too far from my due date to be at nesting level 87. So, if I just spray the grout with some cleaner and let it sit there for a while, does that count as a lower nesting level, like 12 or something? Or do I just shower with my eyes closed and ignore the grout for a couple more weeks? I am also experiencing a need to get my office in order at work, but other than that, no other nesting indicators.

Maybe she picked you to be her labor buddy. Congrats!
Ha! Well, it is kinda fitting because I just posted here yesterday that my LB has seemingly gone off the grid.
Second to last day in the office today! And taking a new associate to lunch today because I like her and we went to the same law school. And also because it will just soak up some of my work day since my deal died again.
Because I've established that I have no cares, I think I'll be wearing leggings underneath my dress today. And as I'm standing there holding my back and rubbing my hips to alleviate the pain, I guess that'll be a dare for anyone to say boo about it.

@apk4 that is so sweet of you to offer! I'll give my LB til tomorrow and then I'll pm you. Do you not have an LB? I don't want to intrude on someone's territory!
My LB had her sweet baby early. I haven't heard back from her in a while and I totally don't blame her or want to bug her about LBs. She's got plenty on her plate.
I'm starving today. I've already eaten a bagel, fruit cup and cinnamon roll from Panera, bowl of soup, cheese stick, and an apple. And it's not even 2pm. I'm still hungry...
I'm finishing up holiday gifts for our tenants and I'm really excited about my ideas this year. I'm a tad bummed I won't be here to give the gifts out or see our tenants' reactions.
..But then I think about cuddling my sweet babe in December and I'm not that bummed.
I have nothing random to say....except my feet are swollen. Like whoa. So glad the weather is chilly so i can hide them by wearing pants instead of skirts/dresses!
Well, my progress on putting stuff away in the nursery has gone from sitting on the couch watching Gilmore girls on Netflix to sitting in the rocker in the nursery bumping. I am getting closer! I did get distracted by the adorable little clothes I have in the closet. I seriously can't wait to get my girl in some of these outfits! Check out this baby sweater dress!!!

Mine have been okay until this week. Now they are huge! Between those and not wanting to attempt shaving my legs, I've been in pants all week too.
Andddd now I understand the pain of diaper cakes. I am disassembling 1 of 3. The first one, they individually wrapped every diaper in a rubber band...ughhhhhh This is layer 2 of 4...
FIL is arriving today... sometime. I am still laying in bed in my underwear and unshowered giving no fucks. If DH brings me pancakes I may get up... eventually.

I just called DS's doctor office to see about getting him in for the flu shot. All they have right now is the flu mist. Otherwise, if I wait until October 21, then he can get the flu shot. I am due the 28th. I am leaning towards no flu mist because if I shouldn't take it I don't know that I want him to take it. But is the 21st too close to my due date? I don't want to go to Walgreen's or somewhere like that, because our insurance won't cover it then. WWYD?
Maybe call your GP's office? My DD's pediatrician was the same way and don't have their shit together with the flu shot schedule. But our GP has it, so we're just taking her there for the flu shot.
Everything hurts and I'm dying. Someone please post the Amy Poehler gif for me. It hurts too much to look for it. Fucking Tdap.
I want to go home and go to sleep, but I came in late on Tuesday and wasn't here yesterday.
I can't let DH know, because he's a big baby and he hasn't gotten his shot yet and I need him to get his shot...
Take Tylenol for the pain? If it gets too swollen (kind of like an allergic bug bite reaction), take Benadryl? That's what I ended up doing when I was in horrible pain and it worked brilliantly. Of course, it took me almost a week to do that.
Warning long ranty post: I'm throughly upset by my dr app. The baby seems to be healthy on the monitor but when they did measurements the doctor and nurse made worried faces. I now have an ultrasound to check on Lo tomarrow ,which is actually kinda helping me calm down ( knowing I'll have an answer soon) other than that I'm on bed rest with 2 hours of activity permitted a day , blood pressure is up 129 from my usual 109-115, anemia is worse they mentioned transfusion after birth ,on the bright side I gained 4 lbs (which is good due to a total gain of 14 lbs)
I know wake up and get on here to see who's in labor and I'm also checking my inbox to make sure @MissMandyD is still cooking! On another note it seems like gas builds up on me throughout the night and when I get up, start moving around and I end up farting all morning and not these little toots either. Bad thing is my DD doesn't want me to wait with her at the end of our driveway for the bus because she says the neighbors kids like 5 HOUSES down from us can here me fart and she's embarrassed so now I have to wait on the porch. I feel like I've been put in timeout!
Congrats on all the new babies and mommies!!
@crawford411 and @ariel06 good luck if this happens to be true labor!
Just got back from the doctor. Not dilated at all. Boo. Although I think I have at least the third level of nesting so that must be a good sign!
Its always good when you schedule a meeting with your boss and forget to invite him to the meeting! On a positive note, my Thursday afternoon is now free!
Uggg F*ing rib pain. Does anyone else have this. About bra strap level I feel like my robs on my right side are broken. I have tried bigger bra, sports bra, no bra, underwire/no under wire and still no relief!! HELPP!!

Being up all night is no joke, you lucky ladies that got some good sleep I'm extremely jealous.
