Appointment tomorrow

in Pregnant after a Loss
I'm changing Dr offices. I don't know how this one will handle the appt. The last office said they would try the Doppler. I'll be 9+5 which as I'm reading through other posts seems to be pretty early. I hope they do something to confirm my LO is still growing strong.
What's your experience? When did you hear the heart beat? If they didn't hear it, did they do an U/S?

    I just had my first OB appt and I had the same worry.  I was 10+5 and she told me that she would try the doppler but not to worry if she couldn't find the HB and that we would confirm one way or another that my LO was okay before I left.  She couldn't find it with the doppler so she brought me right into an empty US room and did a quick US.  Hopefully your doc has a similar policy!

    I would just ask for u/s if they don't offer it right away. I had one at 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks... with a history of loss, my OB won't mess around. He wants to make sure that he knows what is going on, and that I'm as reassured as I need to be at each appointment.

    My doctor found the heartbeat at 9 wks 5 days but actually had the u/s tech wait just to make sure that he could find it.

    I had ultrasounds up until 12 weeks. Even during my 12 week and 20 week appointment we ended up doing an u/s cause baby was running away from the doppler.
    Me- 27 w/PCOS     DH - 28
    TTC since December 2012 
    BFP 6/29/2013 - EDD 3/16/14 - MMC 9/5/2013
    Diagnosed with PCOS and taking metformin 750 mg  twice a day
    April 2014 -  - 1st ICI Cycle - BFP 5/15/14 EDD: 1/20/15
    A/S 8-22-14 - Its a BOY!!
    12/15 Checkup & heard his beautiful heartbeat

    Update!!!! My appointment was great! Heart rate on ultrasound was 181. It has arms and is starting to move. Like LO was looking right at the ultrasound! I'm elated! And I really like the Dr I met but I'm meeting with the midwife next. NT scan to schedule in the next few weeks!
