@mummypig‌ I would call one more time and either demand to speak to someone immediately or if they don't call back by x time, you and LO will show up. And then I'd be shopping for a new pedi.

@mummypig and @mamosey - I hope it's just colds/general crud and nothing more serious! FX that your LOs feel better soon.

FWIW the whole house has dealt with a wicked cold, lasted a good week of being sick and I still have a lingering cough/phlegm. Luckily we all seem to be getting better, but it's been a rough few weeks as it cycled through everyone.

ETA - my point being, sometimes "simple" colds can be sucky/linger.

CiaoMama You should definitely apply for the position! As others have said, there is no harm in trying and it will make a statement that you are looking beyond your current position! GL

So the Classy Mom drove to the bus stop today. I was standing on the corner with the other parents and our children. She parked across the street and as her son got out of the car she said, "I have to stay in my car so I can smoke. I forgot we aren't in F****G America anymore." Just wow.

In other news, I'm thinking I may need to POAS. :-?

I'm on fall break and DH has tues./wed. Off right now so we had a nice night last night. I drank too much wine, 2 glasses haha, paying for it now. That is all.

@armfruit‌ Congrats again on the house! It's interesting that you meet the seller at closing in your state. In California the buyer and seller don't have to meet at all.

I know this situation. Prioritizing is important.

And you can always just get new clothes.

I cannot roll my eyes harder at my coworker. Coworker A has burger to reheat for lunch, Coworker B learns this burger was in the fridge for a week and (still wrapped up) placed in trash by Coworker C thinking it was unwanted left in fridge. Coworker A doesn't care, and pulled it out to reheat/eat. After saying A shouldn't eat it, and A saying whatever, B literally took A's plate and walked away because B didn't think A should eat it. Ummmm, A is a grown up and can eat food from the trash. STFU and don't touch someone's lunch, ass.

The whole exchange was so condescending and rude.

Thanks for all the daycare advice. It makes me feel better that my thoughts for taking him out were valid. DH poo-pooed it a little bit at first (mostly b/c we went to a relatively inexpensive center). I registered him at the new place. They only have 6 kids in the room right now (there is space for 12) so they said I can start in two weeks or as soon as I want if my current daycare lets us leave without notice.

Guys, I am happy to report it's been a lovely afternoon. And I will probably XP this into the thread I started.

Thanks to all the advice I got, I took a time out this afternoon to breathe. I put all my "must-do's" on the back burner and took this afternoon for myself. I went to a meeting, I showered, I ate lunch, and relaxed on the couch and watched bad TV.

I feel like a different person. I'm about to go pick W up from daycare and I'm hoping for an uneventful night! Full of rotini!!

@TessyMessy‌ Just putting it out there... It took 9 months of ttc for LO1. LO2 was conceived 10 weeks pp with no AF and I was BF...

We just helped our friends move. And again, R was a dream child. Sometimes having such a good baby scares me, because you know that means he'll be a terror as a teenager.

And on that note, I got the sads yesterday, we were at the park and 3 teen boys walked passed us. And I realized one day all too soon R won't give me huge smiles and hugs and run (crawl) to greet me with pure joy. Teenage R will probably roll his eyes at me, and tell his friends Mom is a bitch.

:-h Hi there F14! I've been so stupid busy the past couple of days (yesterday my mom dropped the kids off to me at school and I worked for 2 hours finishing two days of sub plans while holding DD and keeping DS entertained!) with school starting back up. Yesterday was my first day back with the kids, and I am out today and tomorrow for training. Stupid timing.

Anyway, I read when I could today and really am sending hugs and T&Ps to those who need them. But as I've been reading this thread all. day. long. I can't remember everyone I wanted to mention. So ((hugs)) and love to you all! I'm going to go crash now!

I have never seen this show before.. it's about people who do extreme things to save money like buy expired meat from the butcher, bathe with their dirty clothes and dishes, etc. This woman had a tooth ache and the dentist told her it had to come out. Instead of paying the $150 to have the dentist do it she researched how to pull out your own teeth on the internet and had her husband do it. WTH?!?!
