  • @davie813 (I think my tags aren't working on mobile...boo) 3 miles of walking is awesome! Just do what you can. Everyone starts somewhere and the best shape I was ever in, in my life, was from walking a lot. Don't get discouraged...sometimes it's easier to add some little things (park farther from the store, walk up stairs, etc.) than to "workout" in big chunks. I'm struggling a lot with weight and stress so I know it's frustrating! Hugs!
Aaaw--thanks!  I'm having a hard time because I don't really know how to handle my body anymore!  I used to run quite a lot, but the combination of the weight I've gained and the interesting things pregnancy does to your joints even if you don't gain an assload (so to speak) means I injure myself all the time.  I'm not sure what to do.  Strength training might help, but joining a gym really isn't an option, schedule-wise.

I think you're right about the small steps, though.  Good luck to both of us!

  • @tmorash: I'm sorry you feel gutted today.I know it doesn't mean much to say, "stay hopeful." But, reading these boards, there sure seem to be a lot of success stories if you stick with it. ;) There is no shame in being hopeful.

I'm pretty new to this journey, too. My mileage hasn't been in the child loss department (although I had a chemical pregnancy once), but in losing my Mom, Dad, ex-husband and other family members to early deaths. For some reason, I almost don't want to TTC, because of that road I've been on. I feel fragile.

On a lighter note, I wish I lived in Canada. I am fully jealous.

    It's hard to be chill.

@verdongirl Thanks for the kind words @verdongirl. I've never lived anywhere but Canada, but I think it's a great place to be, especially my far-east end. In fact, plenty of people here hardly consider themselves Canadian (we joined the country with some controversy, and recently enough that people my parents' age weren't even born Canadian).

I probably should have waited a few hours to post rather than vent fresh spleen on everyone here -- especially considering how unexceptional my disappointment is, relatively speaking. I had an unexpected cry in front of the BF before work when he asked if everyhing was okay...so now he knows too, and blames himself because of the performance anxiety issues that've cropped up since we started TTC.

BUT: it's Friday, and we are going to go out for delicious Vietnamese food tonight to celebrate his birthday, and I'm going to drink all the wine, and we're going to have a great time. So there. :)

  • @tmorash Have fun tonight!  No shame in disappointment.  Every cycle we start with "this is it!" and the dream builds.  It's ok to mourn that month's dream and then start a new dream the next month. Hang in there and big hugs to you!
    me:41   dh:43
Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014.  Never ending cycle starting end of Sept...
    11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues
12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle")  OBGYN had no clue... about anything
01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so  possibly straight to DE and IVF

Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).

No need to apologize for the vent.  This is the place to do it and we have all gotten our hopes up only to have them dashed.
