@peanutrach1, if the couch didn't fit up the stairs, will a king mattress fit up ok?
That's a good point - I would have to check with DH. The couch was super huge and we really should have double checked the measurements beforehand. Not gonna make that mistake 2x. Also, I am not sure we will get a king just yet bc our mattress is only a little over a year old and was kinda $$.
I think most king bed mattresses split intro twin size box springs. The mattress itself is flimsy enough that it's easier to fit through door frames. We couldn't fir our queen box spring upstairs, but had no problem moving our king.
TTC since April 2011. DH Dx MFI in February 2012. BFP #1: 7.16.12. MMC dx: 8.22.12, D&C 8.28.12, TTC Again November 2012. DH Varicocele repair November 2012; Repeat SA showed "dramatic" improvement February 2013 (awesome!)
BFP #2: 3.26.13, EDC: 12.7.13. Anya born December 9th, 2013!
I also have to close the month/quarter for accounting today. In addition I have to start (it was supposed to be finished by now but there hasn't been time) quarterly inventory for the sales department. Also, they haven't gotten any response to the job listing to replace my co-irker, so I am super stressed trying to do 2 people's work in 1/2 a day everyday and not let things slip thru the cracks and mess up client's shows.
About me 2007: Started TTC. 2008: OB prescribed clomid, went to RE and was Dx with PCOS. 2009: IUI #1 w/follitsim and trigger = BFP. B/G Twins born at 33 weeks. 2012: TTC #3, Round 2 of Letrozole w/TI = BFP, missed m/c at 8 1/2 wks. Currently on the bench as we make plans for a new home. Anxious to start TTC #3 within the next year!
I really want to read the Disney tips thread but it's just going to make me all crabby that I have no immediate plans for a trip. This is one of those marriage before kids decisions where I have to recognize that DH's desire for us to have more than $5 in our checking account outweighs how much fun a trip to the magic kingdom would be.
maybe I'll go buy some of those scratch off lotto tickets and see if we can win enough for a trip

We were supposed to be planning a trip to Disney with DH's yearly bonus, but his company decided to do away with bonuses this year
Yucky rainy day here. Had a shitty night of work last night..everyone was butting heads, and I hate when shit gets all tense. It see me like everyone had a stick up their ass, ugh. I hope the general energy tonight had improved by the time I go in tonight. Not looking forward to it. If we didn't need the extra cash so bad, I'd just leave now until im ready to go back after the baby is born.
We'll be leaving for open gym in a bit...thank god! This kid can blow off some steam!
I'm sorry @jesuisfatiguee I wish we could go out together and get drunk and you could make out with a stranger since I probably shouldn't. Making out with people always helped me get over sucky dudes. Lol.

I'mma wait til he hammers the final nails in the coffin, and probably do just that. Woooo Tinder...
I have my older (step) sister's baby shower this weekend. I bought her a boppy even though it wasn't on her registry. I also got her a monitor and some clothes (my mom, and younger sister all went in together). She said her friend told her not to get one cause it was a waste. I used mine every day, and still use it. DS lays on it while he drinks a bottle. Only way I can get him to not roll around and get formula everywhere.
I feel weird getting her something not on her registry. What if she hates the pattern? I know she was doing a white/gray color scheme but all they had that was decent was this one:
FWIW, I think it's a cute pattern and a good gift (I used mine all the time). But if there's guilt then throw the gift receipt in with it and she can exchange it if she really thinks she won't use it.

This lady just brought shady looking insurance proof on a no insurance case and then when she got called out on her shady proof said the policy was actually in her aunt's name but she doesn't know her aunt's last name. You don't know your aunt's fucking name?!
This is why my job makes me hate people.

I just cut holes into the carpet. DH is going to think I lost my mind. I told him that stench will not defeat me. The milk had gone all of the way through. I put baking soda into the holes. If I could rip it all up I would.
I haven't followed every step that you've attempted but have you poured vinegar on it? When the cat had a UTI we used "the recipe" (that's the name to google) and it was vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. I remember reading that the vinegar would get down to the carpet pad and help kill the smell.
If I'm repeating something you've already tried them I'm sorry - and good luck.

I had emailed a guy yesterday and told him I'd be coming tomorrow (today) to buy a piece of furniture he had listed on CL and not to sell it. We decided on a time and everything. He emailed me last night at 8 and said he sold it.
Jackass.
Did he agree not to sell it? If so, than that is a dick move. If he didn't agree to hold it, then the furniture is fair game. When I sell stuff on Craigslist, I don't hold anything for anyone, whoever comes and gets it first, gets it.
I was diagnosed with Celiac disease on Saturday. My DS has it as well, so we are gluten free at home. Coming to work and eating anything I wanted was pure joy for me. Now, iam pissed because I can't do that anymore, and some one just dropped off Panera bread bagels in the break room. I want to cry.
Today was the first time since we have been together that DH has actually said "happy birthday" to me. I would have fallen over had I not been mostly asleep.

I'm sorry. I was diagnosed six years ago and I cried for days. Now, though, I feel so much better that it rarely bothers me. I hope you feel better soon, but take time to grieve for the kids if your faves and ease.

I would have cried if I were you. And I don't think it's silly to cry about at all. That really sucks
Fuck. My almost 9 month old just fell off my bed. I'm trying not to freak out but I'm shaking and I feel like I'm going to puke. My bed is a queen and we have a bed rail on each side. She was sitting happily at the top of the mattress chewing on a teether (she doesn't crawl yet). I stupidly ran to the bathroom and then I heard a thump. I immediately screamed NO and ran to her. She was face down and hit her left side of her forehead. Our floor is fake hardwood. She calmed down pretty quickly, I immediately iced her and checked her pupils. She calmed down pretty quickly. Now there's a big round red spot on her head. I feel like the worst mother ever. DH keeps texting me but I don't want to tell him until he gets home from work because he freaks out pretty badly in these types of situations. Why am I so stupid!?

Please don't beat yourself up over this. It happens to almost every child at some point, no matter how careful the parent is.
Will someone please send me some willpower? I took DD out to breakfast and went totally off my restricted diet, now I have to restart the whole elimination period all over. Why must bacon pancakes be so tempting?
And my to-do list keeps growing and I'm feeling overwhelmed, yet I keep taking on more projects. Why do I do this to myself?
Are we the same person? I was just telling myself last nigh to say no to people when they ask me to be on committess and such. And then I ignored the low carb diet yet again for leftover mac n cheese.

No @uconnhuskie007 . The thought crossed my mind but I have a terrible guilty conscience, my 3 year old would probably tell on me and it is fairly visible.
Thanks for reassurance guys. My mind always go to the worst possible places.
stra0111 Poor kiddo, but don't blame yourself - it happens. If it makes you feel any better we've had a couple of ER trips where DS fell on his forehead and they told us that the front of your head is harder and that the concussion risk is lower so unless there were signs of obvious issues they weren't going to bother running tests.

That sucks. A lot of DH's family has Celiacs (and I'm pretty sure he has it too but he refuses to get tested). If you have a Costco near you, go get some of the Namaste Gluten-free Flour. I use it for pretty much everything and I can't taste the difference.
@stra0111 DS just fell off the couch on Monday, and I had the same thoughts. I've been assured that as long as the baby calms down easily and acts normally it is just fine. Although I will definitely not leave him on the couch to check on the laundry ever again.
I have seen my fair share of injuries and logically I know she is probably completely fine, but whenever it happens to my kids I go into panic mode and need to hear all the pretty stories of children who did the same and are A-OK. So thank you guys.
One time when DD1 was 2, she was sleeping in our bed with us (we had a stacked shelf type of head board) and she must of randomly woken up, sat up and then slammed her head back into the headboard. We woke up to a huge cracking sound. That was terrifying. She ended up okay but I stayed up all night watching her, waking her up, etc. Head injuries are the worst.
I'd come hold your baby for you if I could. I would like to say I'd watch your toddler, but you should probably not trust me to do both. I am not qualified. (mostly jk)
