Hi all, I love this! I don't know a lot of you but I am loving seeing updates from the ttcal ladies I know and love. I literally have tears of joy in my eyes after reading these. @mpiemont seriously where are you?
AFM - waiting out the 2ww for IUI #2, test is Friday. I'm trying so hard to not cave and test early. I have to go to target though so hope I can stay strong and not buy hpts. If this cycle is a bust we have decided to do IVF w PGD. I'm not sure how much longer emotionally we can continue to see everyone around us getting pg. I know it will be hard but I think I'm ready for it. Hopefully the increased success rates will bring back some hope.

@jessw9 I had lowered my progesterone, but we had the dildo cam u/s, I was on my feet all day Friday and then Friday had a pretty strenuous BM... so I'm hoping that's all it was. I had a few hrs of spotting around 5 weeks that was definitely due to the irritation from progesterone. I am so ready to be done with it!
Little man is 4 weeks old today. He is successfully breast-feeding and gaining weight like a champ. He pees all over everything and everyone, and his sleep patterns are a bit erratic. Some nights he'll go 3-4 hours between feedings, sometimes he'll be up every 1.5-2 hours. I am one tired mama! It seems like just yesterday I was in labor and delivery, so it's difficult to believe my rainbow has been here for 4 weeks! He is such a little bear and makes the funniest noises in the world. We love him to pieces!
As for ttc, we will be waiting awhile. I am planning to take the year off from work, so we will most likely wait until I am back next year. I am unsure of what to do regarding birth control. I was on the pill for 10 years so I don't particularly want to go back on, so we shall see!
Hi ladies! TTCALer here. I love seeing all of your updates and I lurk over here way too often. I'm currently on my 6th cycle TTCAL, just trying to take it one day at a time.
I am 13 weeks as of today. The rough symptoms are starting to ease up a bit. I had my 12 week screening on Thursday and all looked good. I also had the Harmony test done and should hear in a few days what the results are as well as the sex. After my last appointment we told our jobs and close friends. We are just keeping our fingers crossed for good results from Harmony.

AFM, I am 22+2 today and things are finally starting to sink in we might be meeting this baby in a few months. We also found out we are having a girl!! At the moment are on our way home with our nursery set so we will slowly start getting things ready over the next few months. Shit is getting real yo! We had my sisters wedding yesterday, so even though we have some time yet LO's arrival is then next "big event" on the list.
It is so wonderful to see so many familiar and beautiful faces!! I am so happy for each and every one of you!!!
I am currently 8w5d! A bit nervous and anxious (no physical reason, just typical PgAL brain).Our first apt is Tuesday at exactly 9w. We have only had one successful ultrasound at this gestational age and of course that means my PgAL brain is in overdrive!! I agree that this should be a monthly check in
Hi lovely ladies! I love seeing all of the posts here and hearing what everyone is up to. For those TTCAL and TTA- I'm thinking about you always and pulling for you to jump on over to PgAL very, very soon.
As for me, I am about 7 weeks along according to my O date. We had our first u/s this past Wednesday and measure about 2 days behind, though saw a beautiful little heartbeat at 120bpm! RE is happy with that and will have us come back again this Friday. I'm cautiously optimistic, though in all honesty I feel like I'm just stuck in a holding pattern waiting for our next steps. I can't quite get excited yet, though I so badly want to be. Luckily I'm feeling pretty good physically. Emotionally I am feeling a bit blah (maybe that really means I do have some anxiety??) and have found that I have been eating my way through my days.
From TTCAL here.... I am still TTA. I haven't had a conversation with My husband about when we will try again. We both have new jobs, and it may mean waiting longer still. I can't believe we have been TTA for a year.
In other non TTC news (cause I have no TTC news!), we recently sold our condo and moved cities for my work, because I just finished my PhD I start a cytogenetics fellowship on Oct 1. We have an application in for a mini goldendoodles puppy. So, we have a lot of new things here or coming. We also moved very close to the Canada Rockies, and I am looking forward to being so close to the mountains.
I am happy to see so many PGAL ladies so far along! So exciting!
I feel like you and I have a lot in common. My husband is working on phd and we went on our honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies and we just got our labradoodle this summer. We have had two losses and we are going to try One more time and then tta for awhile. Congrats on the PhD and good luck with your journey.
I've been lurking in this thread all weekend. I felt weird posting when I had just posted a new thread, but its nice to have everything in one place. I'm currently 8 weeks 3 days. I measured 3 days ahead at my ultrasound on Friday. We saw our cute gummy bear with a HB of 166. I love the idea of making this a monthly thread!
TTCALers thanks for sharing over here. I know it isn't easy. You are often on my mind and always in my heart, please know that those aren't just words but very much how I feel.
This. It's a hard thing to adequately express. I think about all the ladies on TTCAL multiple times a day. On my emotional days I have a lot of tears, prayers and pleas for all AL'ers and especially the ladies on ttcal.

AFM, I'm 18w today. We found out from our maternity 21 that were having a little girl and have decided on the name Aubrey Anne. Our anatomy scan is Wednesday so we're really excited and anxious to see her again! We've started making plans for the nursery and will be working on the registry this week. After 3 losses I had lost so much faith that this was going to happen but everyday I get a little more excited. I *think* I'm feeling her move in there but am hopeful that that'll pick up soon!
In other news I'm excited to get to meet @Qfrump in a few weeks when I'm out west! Q I'll be in touch with flight details soon. I finally booked it!

AFM: I'm 23 weeks today, and will be welcoming baby boy #3 in just a few short months. We'll be moving out of our apartment and into a bigger house in a few months, do we haven't bought much. We are still deciding on a name.
My oldest is now 8, and my youngest will be 6 on Thursday. They are both so excited about their baby brother. I find it adorable that the youngest gets so excited about now being the middle child.
Most days I'm content and secure in knoeing our baby is growing and healthy, but some days I'm just annoyingly paranoid that something could still go wrong. I hate PgAL brain...

Just getting the opportunity to update... shhhhhhh- I'm at work!
I don't have an official due date yet, but according to O, I'll be 5 weeks Wednesday with an EDD of June 3, 2015 It's been a slow and steady start... after several hpt squinters, I went in for a blood draw at 12DPO and received an 8.8hcg result. (14DPO 27.8, 16DPO 111.4) We found out by complete accident that my estrogen is low, so I'm now on estrogen and progesterone supplements. I have another draw tomorrow... fingers crossed for 800+!!!
I started this journey being cautiously optimistic, but I've thrown caution into the wind and have decided that this IS our rainbow baby. He/She will beat all the odds and will be joining our family on earth, with three little angel siblings watching over.
Hi ladies! I've been reading but too stubborn to type my update out on mobile!
I'm 27+ weeks along, former TTCAL after an early m/c in December. LO is doing great and even though I'm high risk things are going pretty well.
I was labeled high risk for 2T m/c due to prior uterine and cervical surgeries (septate uterus and double cervix). After an early "borderline short" cervix length check at my first MFM appointment (followed by strict pelvic rest), my cervix continued to lengthen to a "normal" length. LO's growth scans all show her slightly above the curve (but normal) in all areas, so that means my uterus is expanding as it should. It's really amazing to me that it's been going so well for so long. I became quite anemic during 1T but I'm being monitored and treated and things have very slowly but steadily been getting better. Still anemic but now on the moderate side instead of the "severe" end of the spectrum. It makes me tired but I'm told the silver lining is that since I have been slightly anemic my whole life, I'm coping with the physical effects better than most people in my situation would (i.e., I'm still functioning pretty normally whereas others with such a low blood count would be laying in bed all day).
Our LO is a girl and we have the nursery renovations underway. She's really strong and some days I she just kicks me all day and all night long like she's training for a marathon. Just looking forward to an uneventful 3T and our take-home baby in late December.
So glad to see all the updates here and to hear from so many of the current TTCALers. We think of you so often around these parts and I lurk often.
Great idea!!! I never gave the update that our perfect little girl is here! Her birth was a little dramatic but she came out on her own despite my terrible fever and her heart rate bouncing all over the place. She's 9 days old and we couldn't be more in love. DH and I are working on getting a routine in place to give us some rest and so far so good! So wonderful to hear all these great updates from you all.

TTCAL here... I'm somewhere between 3 and 5 DPO (FF gives me 3, but I think it's really 5... taking thoughts from others for sure.)
We've been seeing the RE since June and this is our third cycle with them. Due to my work schedule and travel this month I couldn't do monitoring so they had me go it alone with clomid alone, no shot... We will see what happens. I don't feel like my body has been responding well to the Clomid + HCG shot so I'm hoping maybe just clomid is a good thing. If this cycle doesn't work I think we will ask for a move to Femara to try something new and then if that doesn't work probably try IUI (though I can't figure out how IUI helps people who suffer from early MCs) and then maybe onto IVF. I'll be 35 in January so I want to move fast, but at the same time I really wanted to do this without a ton of intervention if that makes any sense.
In other news - work is a total mess... I even got called a "Jive Sucka" on a blog one day last week by an upset customer. I'm looking forward to our vacation to the beach in 2 weeks though.

It hasn't been as bad for the last few days which has me a little worried since around the 8w5d mark is when our MMC occurred. What's up with me? I have a cyst in my only remaining ovary. Chances that I am ovulating are slim to none. Ultrasound next Monday to see what is up with it. I'm 100% sure that it has not resolved itself based on the almost daily pain I have from it. I'm pretty sure surgery is in the future which terrifies me because what if he removes this ovary? Then I'm fucked. Even though I *know* I'm not ovulating, I still want the theoretical miracle chance that an ovary would give us.
On the non-TTCAL front: Mr Bug finally went in for a checkup! (First ever since getting clearedto play high school football). He ended finding out he had high cholesterol and a fatty liver. Doctor immediately put him on a high dose of Lipitor. Massive diet changes ensured and his 6 week re-check showed he now has low cholesterol. He is off the Lipitor, misses steak, but is enjoying tracking his food and hitting the goals he has set. He's lost about 20 pounds and I've dropped 10 (which puts me at my wedding weight). We both need new clothes
Mr Bug also got sent to a dermatologist (this checkup keeps giving!) to have a mole checked. She thought it was okay but took a sample. It came back abnormal so now he has to have it removed. She wants it off by the end of the week but referred him to another doctor because of the location (front temple) so a plastic surgeon can assist. That doctor has not called and Mr Bug is dragging his feet.
On the job front - it's a brutal market. We'll leave it at that because at this point Home Depot is looking like a good option.

I am on my 5th cycle of TTC since the loss. I thought I would O yesterday, but then my temp dipped a bit more today so I guess tomorrow will tell what's going on there. I also just passed my 6 month mark on TTCAL, but I haven't introed on the TTCAL6+ board yet. Hope springs eternal so I will see what my 2WW wait brings.
@MrsG80inTN I am not going to lie - "jive sucka" made me laugh because that is such a ridiculous thing to call someone. Sorry they were jerks, though.

@buggirl72 - what's your area of specialty? Any chance you are in or near Ohio? The legal market is tough but I know of some positions in Ohio. Also, consider looking at insurance companies with policy holders in your state. Even if those companies don't have offices or headquarters in your state they almost certainly have trial lawyers there for insured defense (eg, insured gets into an accident and is sued or the insurance company sues the other driver. The trial lawyers rep the company's insured.) I worked for a large insurance company for many years and their trial division was in the thousands of lawyers across the country. It's much cheaper to pay a staff lawyer a good salary than to pay some firm an hourly rate. YKWIM?

Bribery.
I tried reasoning, asking nicely, and guilt. Didn't work. Finally, I told him if he went to the doctor for his check-up (since he would not go out of love for me ) then I would let him buy a pistol he really wanted. I honestly did not care if he got it but he had convinced himself that I did and that he needed my permission (I was opposed more for financial reasons). He called and made his appointment that day.
@KMW08 has also used bribery to get her bathroom remodeled and, apparently, on her LO's name it appears.
I'm very late to this party, but I wanted to say how much I'm loving this thread. It's so nice to see all of my PGAL and PAL ladies! I'm so happy for each of you that have moved on.
AFM: DH and I have been TTA since our loss in June. OB said two cycles, but we decided that we weren't quite ready to jump back in yet, so we are taking one more cycle to get in a better place. I've been focusing on getting healthier and have lost 13 lbs since my loss. I'm hoping that it will kick my body into gear so we won't have to go through treatments again.

@KMW08, this is the best idea ever! And I concur that I would love to see updates from everyone more frequently. Although, ever since having DS, I've fallen a bit of TB wagon...there is just no time in my life with a traveling husband, full-time job and kiddo who doesn't sleep to keep up (for me), but I still lurk.
AFM: my LO is now 5 1/2 months old. Life has been a bit of roller-coaster the past 2 months as he was diagnosed with Ocular Albinism with Nystagmus. We're currently waiting for our appointment with a specialist and genetics counselor out at the University of Minnesota at the end of October for more information, a confirmed diagnosis and hopefully some next steps.
I definitely was hit hard with some serious PPD after having DS and the diagnosis that my rainbow baby could be legally blind or worse and will need a lot of accomodations in life has been a tough pill to swallow on top of everything. It's also hard to hear that the form of albinism that he has is x-linked recessive so it came from me (fn fantastic!), which has changed my plans to try for a sibling for my DS, which depresses me even more. After everything I've been through, I thought I'd catch a break, but life always continues to throw us curve balls, no?
I have to say that my son has been lighting up my world so much more every day now though. I'm coming to terms with his diagnosis and enjoying the fact that he's interacting us with more and more. And who can resist baby smiles and laughs! Right now, I'm just hoping for some "good" news at the end of the month and that in time things will be easier to accept.

DS is now 5 months old, he is such a sweetheart, BFing is going well, if he would STTN then I would have a unicorn among babies. His delivery was pretty textbook, the first few weeks were crazy but it is worth it, I am so in love.
Not baby related, I am back at work although I am getting a third interview from a different company so I am hopeful. Seriously, someone stole my lunch the other day and you all know how well I react to that. I am still in school at night to finish my degree so time is very scarce for me ATM, I do miss bumping on a regular basis.
TTA ATM, having our rainbow has made me question how many children we want. The original plan was two but I could have more I think, although being pgal again foes not appeal in the least. We will visit the idea of a sib when Nerdling turns two.

AFM - waiting out the 2ww for IUI #2, test is Friday. I'm trying so hard to not cave and test early. I have to go to target though so hope I can stay strong and not buy hpts. If this cycle is a bust we have decided to do IVF w PGD. I'm not sure how much longer emotionally we can continue to see everyone around us getting pg. I know it will be hard but I think I'm ready for it. Hopefully the increased success rates will bring back some hope.

I had a few hrs of spotting around 5 weeks that was definitely due to the irritation from progesterone.
I am so ready to be done with it!
Little man is 4 weeks old today. He is successfully breast-feeding and gaining weight like a champ. He pees all over everything and everyone, and his sleep patterns are a bit erratic. Some nights he'll go 3-4 hours between feedings, sometimes he'll be up every 1.5-2 hours. I am one tired mama! It seems like just yesterday I was in labor and delivery, so it's difficult to believe my rainbow has been here for 4 weeks! He is such a little bear and makes the funniest noises in the world. We love him to pieces!
As for ttc, we will be waiting awhile. I am planning to take the year off from work, so we will most likely wait until I am back next year. I am unsure of what to do regarding birth control. I was on the pill for 10 years so I don't particularly want to go back on, so we shall see!

I am 13 weeks as of today. The rough symptoms are starting to ease up a bit. I had my 12 week screening on Thursday and all looked good. I also had the Harmony test done and should hear in a few days what the results are as well as the sex. After my last appointment we told our jobs and close friends. We are just keeping our fingers crossed for good results from Harmony.
AFM, I am 22+2 today and things are finally starting to sink in we might be meeting this baby in a few months. We also found out we are having a girl!! At the moment are on our way home with our nursery set so we will slowly start getting things ready over the next few months. Shit is getting real yo! We had my sisters wedding yesterday, so even though we have some time yet LO's arrival is then next "big event" on the list.

AFM, I'm 18w today. We found out from our maternity 21 that were having a little girl and have decided on the name Aubrey Anne. Our anatomy scan is Wednesday so we're really excited and anxious to see her again! We've started making plans for the nursery and will be working on the registry this week. After 3 losses I had lost so much faith that this was going to happen but everyday I get a little more excited. I *think* I'm feeling her move in there but am hopeful that that'll pick up soon!
In other news I'm excited to get to meet @Qfrump in a few weeks when I'm out west! Q I'll be in touch with flight details soon. I finally booked it!

Hi ladies! I've been reading but too stubborn to type my update out on mobile!
I'm 27+ weeks along, former TTCAL after an early m/c in December. LO is doing great and even though I'm high risk things are going pretty well.
I was labeled high risk for 2T m/c due to prior uterine and cervical surgeries (septate uterus and double cervix). After an early "borderline short" cervix length check at my first MFM appointment (followed by strict pelvic rest), my cervix continued to lengthen to a "normal" length. LO's growth scans all show her slightly above the curve (but normal) in all areas, so that means my uterus is expanding as it should. It's really amazing to me that it's been going so well for so long. I became quite anemic during 1T but I'm being monitored and treated and things have very slowly but steadily been getting better. Still anemic but now on the moderate side instead of the "severe" end of the spectrum. It makes me tired but I'm told the silver lining is that since I have been slightly anemic my whole life, I'm coping with the physical effects better than most people in my situation would (i.e., I'm still functioning pretty normally whereas others with such a low blood count would be laying in bed all day).
Our LO is a girl and we have the nursery renovations underway. She's really strong and some days I she just kicks me all day and all night long like she's training for a marathon. Just looking forward to an uneventful 3T and our take-home baby in late December.

I am currently 8 weeks and 1 day. I have been dealing with all day nausea for the last 2 weeks. It hasn't been as bad for the last few days which has me a little worried since around the 8w5d mark is when our MMC occurred. We have our next OB appt on 10/13 so it will be a little while to keep waiting and wondering.
It's so great to connect with everyone like this and see so many great updates.

What's up with me? I have a cyst in my only remaining ovary. Chances that I am ovulating are slim to none. Ultrasound next Monday to see what is up with it. I'm 100% sure that it has not resolved itself based on the almost daily pain I have from it. I'm pretty sure surgery is in the future which terrifies me because what if he removes this ovary? Then I'm fucked. Even though I *know* I'm not ovulating, I still want the theoretical miracle chance that an ovary would give us.
On the non-TTCAL front: Mr Bug finally went in for a checkup! (First ever since getting clearedto play high school football). He ended finding out he had high cholesterol and a fatty liver. Doctor immediately put him on a high dose of Lipitor. Massive diet changes ensured and his 6 week re-check showed he now has low cholesterol. He is off the Lipitor, misses steak, but is enjoying tracking his food and hitting the goals he has set. He's lost about 20 pounds and I've dropped 10 (which puts me at my wedding weight). We both need new clothes
Mr Bug also got sent to a dermatologist (this checkup keeps giving!) to have a mole checked. She thought it was okay but took a sample. It came back abnormal so now he has to have it removed. She wants it off by the end of the week but referred him to another doctor because of the location (front temple) so a plastic surgeon can assist. That doctor has not called and Mr Bug is dragging his feet.
On the job front - it's a brutal market. We'll leave it at that because at this point Home Depot is looking like a good option.

I'm very late to this party, but I wanted to say how much I'm loving this thread. It's so nice to see all of my PGAL and PAL ladies! I'm so happy for each of you that have moved on.
AFM: DH and I have been TTA since our loss in June. OB said two cycles, but we decided that we weren't quite ready to jump back in yet, so we are taking one more cycle to get in a better place. I've been focusing on getting healthier and have lost 13 lbs since my loss. I'm hoping that it will kick my body into gear so we won't have to go through treatments again.

@KMW08, this is the best idea ever! And I concur that I would love to see updates from everyone more frequently. Although, ever since having DS, I've fallen a bit of TB wagon...there is just no time in my life with a traveling husband, full-time job and kiddo who doesn't sleep to keep up (for me), but I still lurk.
AFM: my LO is now 5 1/2 months old. Life has been a bit of roller-coaster the past 2 months as he was diagnosed with Ocular Albinism with Nystagmus. We're currently waiting for our appointment with a specialist and genetics counselor out at the University of Minnesota at the end of October for more information, a confirmed diagnosis and hopefully some next steps.
I definitely was hit hard with some serious PPD after having DS and the diagnosis that my rainbow baby could be legally blind or worse and will need a lot of accomodations in life has been a tough pill to swallow on top of everything. It's also hard to hear that the form of albinism that he has is x-linked recessive so it came from me (fn fantastic!), which has changed my plans to try for a sibling for my DS, which depresses me even more. After everything I've been through, I thought I'd catch a break, but life always continues to throw us curve balls, no?
I have to say that my son has been lighting up my world so much more every day now though. I'm coming to terms with his diagnosis and enjoying the fact that he's interacting us with more and more. And who can resist baby smiles and laughs! Right now, I'm just hoping for some "good" news at the end of the month and that in time things will be easier to accept.

DS is now 5 months old, he is such a sweetheart, BFing is going well, if he would STTN then I would have a unicorn among babies. His delivery was pretty textbook, the first few weeks were crazy but it is worth it, I am so in love.
Not baby related, I am back at work although I am getting a third interview from a different company so I am hopeful. Seriously, someone stole my lunch the other day and you all know how well I react to that. I am still in school at night to finish my degree so time is very scarce for me ATM, I do miss bumping on a regular basis.
TTA ATM, having our rainbow has made me question how many children we want. The original plan was two but I could have more I think, although being pgal again foes not appeal in the least. We will visit the idea of a sib when Nerdling turns two.
I miss the TTCAL board so much. I was only there for a couple months, but it seriously got me through the lowest point of my life.
I'm currently 8w3d along and hoping & praying this will be a sticky baby It's right about this time my baby stopped growing last pregnancy, so it's been a tough few days.
I still chart stalk alot of you TTCAL girls and am anxiously awaiting more intros on PGaL!!!
