Wait, your US wasn't trans-vaginal? It was abdominal? There is no way they can get accurate information from an abdominal US this early. That tech sounds like a quack and I would be getting a second opinion from another OB right away.
Yes! The tech went and asked her supervisor if she should switch to internal and the supervisor told her no. I really felt like I was being dismissed at that point- like they had written it off based on what they saw.
My doc was not happy when I told her they didn't do an internal.

With my first pregnancy they did a transabdominal at 7 weeks and said because I was so petite she would see if she could see everything transabdominal first. I never needed a transvaginal. Though all my other pregnancies they went straight to the transvaginal. So in some cases transabdominal is fine.
I would go to my doctors office and demand they request the hospital give you an emergency u/s. If they won't do it, just go to the hospital (or a different one) and explain the problem.
Hugs to you. The waiting is the hardest, but I hope it all works out. I agree at this point you should look into other doctors. Maybe one of them will give you an ultrasound sooner than your current doctor.
Idk what kind of insurance you have or what your copays would be to go to ER or urgent care but that would be my next stop. There is no way that they would worry me like that and then make me wait over a week.
Also, maybe your Ob can be more successful at getting a rushed scan.
Fx that this is just technical incompetence and baby is ok.
This is absolutely ridiculous. I am fuming about how they treated you. That tech is a witch. I know you're still rooting for your doctor, but please oh please start shopping for a second opinion. You should not have to wait that long to see/ hear a doctor and wait that long for another u/s when the tech was in the wrong. I am so sorry that all of this has happened. But please seek a second opinion. You deserve so much better from your provider!!! Sending big hugs.

Thank you. I think the tech was new and clearly didn't have any bedside training...I've had two previous healthy pregnancies so I knew when I saw a 39hb that it wasn't good...she never should have said congrats and sent us on our way. And her supervisor or the radiologist should have come in and taken a second look using the transvaginal ultrasound.

Wow, sorry. All those years of Catholic school and I can't write a clearly worded or grammatically correct post. I get a pass though, right?
So sorry your going through that!! But don't loose hope!! Positive vibes and prayers sent your way!! Beautiful picture of your little one!! So tiny and working so hard getting big!!
Heavy bleeding today. Passed a big clot this am. It is over. Thank you all so much for your support. I am so thankful for all of the love over past few days. I wish you all happy pregnancies and easy labors!
