What are some "boy" names that you like for girls?

Any unisex names or boy names (to most) that you like for a girl? ?

I'm not a fan of the "son" names (addison, madison, emerson) but I do like Austin, Dylan, Bryce and Aaron for a girl... although I'm still not sure we'd actually use them. ?

I'm not a fan of boy names for girls or of unisex names, period. That said, I teach at a middle school and have seen tons of boy names for girls this year. We have a Drew, Malone, Max, and Ryan. All girls.

I really dislike boy names for girls. If she grows up to be gorgeous, then sure, she can probably pull off being named Charlie or James or Aaron. But what if she's not? If she's homely or masculine looking, then giving her a boy's name is just cruel. And since you really don't know what your daughter is going to look like in 20 years, why take the chance??

I'll add Toni to the list because that's my name. My mom loves the name but I still get tired of hearing "isn't that a boy's name?" And people still spell it Tony even though I thought it was common knowledge that girls names end in "i". I won't say I hate it, but I really don't like it.

I like "boys" name used for girls, I'd just change the spelling slightly. I have Aaron on my list spelled Aeryn for a girl (DH hates it though). My SDs have unisex names - Morgan and Taylor.

not a fan of unisex names much - a name I consider boy but most consider unisex is Morgan. So for me, I guess that's a boy name you could use for a girl.

I really can't think of any. No wait; one exception for me: Avery. I babysat a little girl named Avery (now 18, so she had the name way before it--or other boy names for girls--were trendy) and I just think it's a great, spunky name for a girl. Other than that though, boy names for girls are totally NMS.

I'm curious; when there is a "feminine" spelling for Aaron--Erin--why would you spell it Aaron? That just seems really confusing because it's not unisex (since there is a feminine version); most people would think of it as clearly "boy" and assume accordingly.

A coworker is about to name her daughter Dylan. We'll see how it grows on me! I know that I thought Ryan was awful until I knew this adorable little girl named Ryan and then I liked the name- a lot! So, a lot of it has to do with associations, KWIM? But again- some of them are too much.

I actually really like the name Ryan for a girl. I went to high school with a girl named Ryan and she was really cool but she was also beautiful so I guess that goes along with what someone said above. I don't get using Logan and Elliot as girls names. They sound totally masculine to me.

Also, your daughter will have to be an adorable cheerleader type to pull off a guy's name. What if little Dylan is kind of masculine looking? People might even get confused about the gender!

I'm gonna guess that most of the ladies on here who love the idea of "boy" names for girls (Aaron, Ryan, Austin) have names themselves like Jessica or Brittney. In other words, have never had to deal with the BS that comes with having a name mistaken for masculine. My name is Randi, and I would NEVER consider giving my daughter a "boy" name because of the crap I had to deal with (and still often deal with).?

There is nothing more suck for a little girl than to be sorted into the boys based on a name on a piece of paper. Or to have to correct the spelling of their name (if spelled more femininely) 3,000 times before high school. It is embarrassing, and extremely frustrating. Do not do this to your child. Unisex maybe, but for the love of Pete, not a boy's name!?

I've never really liked boy names for girls, mainly because there are very few all boy names left. People keep taking them for the girls!

There are a couple of unisex names, like Cameron and Jordan that are okay, but I really don't like Austin, Dylan, or Aaron for a girl. Blech.

I knew a girl named Aaron. ?Apparently her mother spelled it the male way so that she wouldn't be discriminated against when job searching. ?I guess her mom thought we were living in the 1950s. ?Poor girl constantly had to explain. ?Why would you want to do that to your child??
