11 weeks and very dizzy

this is my first pregnancy. I haven't expirenced any sickness besides a mild headache or two. But yesterday morning I started feeling like the room was spinning. Thought maybe my blood sugar was low and I sat down to drink some water and eat a snack. I got back up to do makeup and had to sit down because I was so dizzy. I couldn't barely even wear the heels I had picked out for a wedding I was going too and had to change to flip flops throughout the ceremony. The dizziness didn't stop all night and continued today. I thought it would go away after I slept since we had such a hectic weekend but woke up still dizzy today. Even when I'm sitting or laying down the room is always spinning. I'm not nauseous and I have been eating and drinking water.

Re: 11 weeks and very dizzy

  • Call the doc. Dizziness can be normal but it might also be something that needs attention. I hope things slow down and level out for you!

  • Agree with PPs...call your doc. I had the same thing-ish happen last week and it ended up being nothing. Hope it's the same for you!

  • Dizziness can happen throughout pregnancy, but normally corrects itself after hydrating and eating. I would call your doctor if it's not going away after doing both.

I would tell your doctor, but I wouldn't be too worried. I am always dizzy in the first trimester because my blood pressure just tanks. I can't bend over, stand up too quickly, or move very suddenly without getting lightheaded.

The same thing happens to me--blood pressure goes down in pregnancy. I took a walk with my daughter this afternoon and my head started feeling loopy so we had to go home. Usually I feel better in the 2nd trimester when my heart gets used to the extra work :). If your feet are cold or you get cold easily, it is also a sign yr blood pressure is dipping. Deffo tell the dr to be safe!!
  • Call your dr , you don't want to be like me the other week , fell backwards off a ladder .... Thank god I wasn't hurt and empty boxes took my fall but I was at work pretending everything was 'normal ' cos they don't know yet :/
