I don't really care what month babies come but if I had to pick a date, I wouldn't mind going into labor after I sleep in following Easter Vigil. It would be great to be rested! Ha.
Or maybe on Water Monday. It would be fun to have my water break like last time; explosively with the first push. The poor doula and doctor.
I'm super excited for an April baby! You don't have to suffer through the summer and be huge! It's nice and cool when baby comes, and then you can dress them up in the cute little bathing suits and summer clothes! They're at the adorable stage for Christmas where they can enjoy some of their presents. I'm SO excited! The ONLY thing I'm not excited about is the birthstone. I wanted a birthstone ring to go with my wedding band and engagement ring...I already have a diamond band on one side...I wanted a colored birthstone to go on the other.
I love my October birthday. Always have. We have so many October birthdays. I'd love to have a child's birthday then. DD is September which is pretty great too. (Tomorrow she will be 2!)
I think april will be great as well. We have a ton of April birthdays already. I like that the April birthstone is a diamond.
Hmm, wonder if I could convince the hubs that a new diamond is a special momento in representation of our new LO!
Happy Birthday to your LO. I'm a September baby and believe we are pretty awesome.
I live in texas so it gets pretty hot here and us texans are not used to the cold. What we complain about being cold people up north laugh about. In saying that I always knew that I didn't want to be in my third trimester during the summer so having an April baby is awesome. My only let down is the baby shower. I have a huge family so I kind of wanted a out door baby shower but couldn't do that because February and March are usually cold and wet. So maybe a May June birth would be nice. Yes I know the important thing is a healthy baby and I pray for that every night but there is excitement and so many emotions when it comes to having your first baby and you can't help but want every single experience to be awesome.
I would have preferred a winter or fall baby, would have been easier on my bank account in the summer. I'll have my babies birthdays back to back April, May and June happily.
My son's birthday is April 13... my EDD for this one is April 12... LOL. soooo April sounds great I suppose. Though I would have loved a month where you can rely a little more on warmer weather.. really just for birthday party purposes.. like even May - but I'll take April.. or March if this one comes really early.
I honestly don't care, but since I'm a university student and have to worry about baby coming after exams (fingers crossed) it made me realize if baby goes to university they'll always have exams around their birthday. As a March birthday and never being able to do anything due to paper season I can empathize haha. Baby will join a bunch of spring birthdays in our family: March for me FIL and BIL, April for my mom, and early May for my MIL.
I didn't really care about the month, just didn't want a December baby because I am one and my birthday always got combined with Christmas. Also happy I won't be pregnant through a hot, humid Michigan summer. And bonus dh birthday is 4/30
I am kind of bummed my baby is due April 3rd because my birthday is so close (March 28th)! :-w Then again, if the baby does come on the 3rd, the date will match my sons, who was born November 3rd! too bad the baby will come unannounced
All five of my pregnancies have been due either in August or April. My DD was due the exact same day as my EDD this time - April 23 - and was born April 16. My DS was born at the end of July.
Given a choice, I'd MUCH RATHER be due in April than be 9-months pregnant in the dead heat of summer. Hands down. I'm thrilled to be due in April again.

I can't think of a negative for April. I am a teacher so I can take the rest of the year off and not go back to work until baby is over 4 months old. I have a spring birthday myself and it was wonderful. Yeah April!
My birthday is in April and I love the month as things start to warm up. I'm due early April and thrilled to have April- June off for maternity leave as it's my favorite part of the year in NC!
I have an April birthday so I'm really excited that I'm due in April. I just don't like how close it'll be to mine and DH's birthdays. I don't want either DH or I to not be able to really celebrate our birthdays if baby were to be born on either of our birthdays. Due date is the 11th, DH's birthday is on the 16th and mine is on the 18th.
Both of our birthdays and anniversary are in the first week of January (fun but exhausting, especially right after xmas and new year!!).... so our guiding principle with timing kids was to steer clear of Dec-Feb. This is also our summer as we're in the southern hemisphere so not a bad time of year to avoid. I'm really happy about April
My sister is lucky enough to have two sons born on the same day in October, five years apart!! Surprisingly, the most challenging part has been that my other nephew (the middle child) feels really left out at that time of year.
It's funny that there are so many comments about Autumn birthdays.... being in the southern hemisphere our April due date is the equivalent to October in the US. It's a lovely time of year--the weather is usually still nice but not too hot, with beautiful colors and dramatic light.
We timed it for April and were lucky. I loved having a late spring baby last time because I could get out and walk around with him immediately without worrying about chills or excessive heat. I'm looking forward to having the summer off again.
Another consideration is the school calendar. I was always the youngest in my class (Oct), and I like that both of mine will be in the middle of the pack age-wise. The public school calendar here has a 12/31 cutoff, so April is actually a bit to the older side.
My husband prays that we don't have a girl because he feels obligated to buy her jewelry with the April birthstone (diamonds) for the rest of her life. I'm happy about it because i get a birthstone push present....
My Due Date is April 21st...Which is actually Our 1year Wedding Anniversary!! I always wanted to get married in April or have a baby in April since their aren't any April birthdays in my family. So we got married in April 2014 and out 1st born will hopefully be born in April 2015 but since its the end of April...Im ok with May also. My birthday is June and Daddy is November. October is another month I like but all-in-all any date will do as long as the baby is healthy!!
