Boy oh boy! Congrats @meladoriestar !

Everyone's having boys, it seems! We find out in 2.5 weeks... I am seriously convinced the baby is a girl based on a between the legs shot from 12 weeks. Yes, I know they essentially look the same at that stage. I have told my rational brain this.

Speaking of sex/gender -- has anyone started watching Transparent on Amazon Prime? We watched the pilot & loved it. Can't wait to watch the rest!!

Unfortunately BJ doesn't work weekends and she's our only access to the rest of the BGs. So idk if they're working on it or not

I got totally lost on my way to have blood work done this morning. My gps had me in some ghetto area near Camden. I got shaken up & cried. Luckily the lady at the lab gave me much better directions.

All I've done is clean today. I'm starting to get tired, but I want everything done today so I can have a relaxing day tomorrow decorating for fall/Halloween.

So nice to hear all the good news about ultrasounds and finding out the sex! Our u/s is scheduled for 10/29. I'm feeling like its a girl, but who really knows!
And I'm not really a fan of this update to the message boards. I'm all disoriented.

Yayyyyy @meladoriestar‌ that is super exciting! Congrats to you!

I feel like a slacker bum today. My parents picked up my son this morning to bring him to their house for the day so I could get chores done and run some errands. I ran to Target (fun!) and then crapped out. Target wore me out. Here I am lying in my bed bumping. Such a slacker.

@megaugust10‌ I have my 16 week appointment in Wed, too, but likely no u/s. I love hearing the heartbeat on the Doppler, though. Good luck!

DH just made the most glorious grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup for a late lunch/early dinner. Cheddar and muenster with farm market tomatoes and avocado. My belly is so happy. Exciting that so many are finding out sex! I'm past 17 weeks, but my anatomy scan still isn't until October 17th. Getting harder to wait!

I have to go back to my optometrist in the mall tonight to complain about my glasses and trial contacts...but I'm exhausted from work and don't want to. Ugh, I need to have vision so I guess I will have to. My eyes have been so dry lately in my new contacts, but I read that was a pregnancy thing too so idunno....I'm getting an ice cream cone while I'm at the mall just because I can, yay.

DH is working from home today and was kind enough to run out and get me a pumpkin spice decaf and pumpkin spice muffin on his lunch break, even though I was a total bitch to him last night. I'm also feeling really badly about the convo I had with my sis last night... Lots of amends to make today. She invited me to go see Boxtrolls with her and my nieces and nephews this afternoon, so I'll start there. I'm so lucky to have such a patient and forgiving family.

I find it weird when I tell people that I'm pregnant and they immediately say "I just know you are having a boy/girl." How the fuck would you know that? When baby is in my dreams it is a boy, but in DH's dreams it's a girl.

My anatomy scan is on Oct. 13th. My mom was going to take off the morning from work so that she could answer my call when we find out. I think somebody is excited to be a grandma!

H and I went out to olive garden last night for the never ending pasta bowl. I was starving when we got there, and after eating my soup I didn't even finish half of my first bowl of pasta. H found it hilarious for some reason. I don't even know why I was craving olive garden...their pasta is never cooked correctly and the sauce was extremely watery.

My sister offered to throw me a shower where my family and best friends live (800 mi away from where I live now). It surprised me because we aren't close - although I threw her a huge shower.

She asked if I wanted a gift card or book or clothes only shower since I will have to fly back to NY. I couldn't believe it - (but this is a girl who has had 3+showers for 3 girls and 2 big weddings). I just said I am happy with what anyone wants to get me - if they want to. The thought of having my friends and family together is a gift enough for me. I would feel so uncomfortable if parameters were put on gifts...I'm glad she at least asked me first.

@suzyq0525 (<-- that's my anniversary, BTW!) I get that same thing, but with my u/s pic! The pic I shared --from 12 wks-- ends at the hips & no legs or baby goods are visible. Yet people have said, "Looks like a boy!" STFU.

Nothing good at Kohl's. I got 2 shirts at target and 2 at Ross though. And a K'Tan on clearance for $18 at target so I grabbed it too, for that cheap I figured it would be worth a shot.

@chaysefaith‌ - you should be able to talk as much as you want for as long as you want about your loss and anyone who has a problem with that is an ass. That's what you need to heal and hugs to you.

@suzyq0525‌ - My a/s is on 10/13 too! It seems like it's taking forever to get here

@etoille - sorry to hear that. I'm in a similar boat, DD got sent home from daycare at 11am on Thursday, which left me scrambling for coverage through Friday bc I couldn't take off work. Fever broke on Friday and her pedi had no other explanation than it's too early to tell what she could have. Today I noticed little red bumps in various places on her body like I've never seen before and a couple look like they burst or something. Pedi says it could be the beginning of chicken pox and I'm like holy shit please let it not be! They said it should be evident in another day or two. Fingers crossed!

DD had hand foot mouth 2 months ago and it wasn't that bad - she didn't feel bad, ate fine, and only ended up out of daycare for 3 days. Never got them on her hands or feet either, just in the mouth. Hopefully your DS will have a mild case!
