I've never heard of this until about a year ago, and don't know too much about it. I looked it up some on Dr. Google, and called the pedi and waiting to hear back. Can someone please enlighten me on this?

DD2 has it. Started with a fever. A day later she started getting the bumps on her hand, feet, bum/thighs and mouth. She has a relatively mild case. That's pretty much it. Severity can vary. It can make it very difficult/painful for baby to eat until the bumps blister then heal.

Yep, this. DS had a very mild case. Fever first, then the bumps and he really didn't want to eat for about 4 days.

  • My throat hurt really bad when I had it and I think DD's did too (it was right before her first birthday so it was hard to tell). We both had fevers, sore throat, and a few days after being on the mend we both had our blisters come to the surface on our hands and feet. Before that, you couldn't see them but it felt like a million needles were being pushed in when I walked. It was annoying. After about the first 3 days though, it got better.

Hope your DD starts feeling better soon!

  • My kids had it a few years ago. Neither of them had any in their mouth, but DD get some on her butt. It's definitely not limited to the hand, feet, or mouth.

Aww thanks! Yours too @minerswife17‌ . P.s. DH has it and now I'm pretty sure I do too. I really hope DD1 can avoid it.
Oh no. I'm so sorry. I hope DH and I can avoid it as well. I have a dumb question though. I need to keep DD indoors right? I needed to run a few errands tomorrow but I think I need to postpone them now.
  • DHs work called everyone off of work for a few nights so he was able to stay home with DD so I could run errands. That was my first time ever going grocery shopping without DD since she's been born. I felt really lonely. Lol
