As you know, I started having contractions on Wednesday. After multiple NSTs and sonograms, I was put on 90mg of Procardia to take once a day. When I went to the doctor yesterday, he put me on Macrobid for a *possible* bladder infection. He says either there's an infection causing the contractions or I just have an irritable uterus. I'm thankful that the contractions haven't dilated me at all.
This morning I noticed my skin was blotchy and assumed it was from the Procardia so I called the doctor. She told me to come in at 3pm. I took my second dose of Macrobid at 9am. As the day progressed, I started becoming very itchy. When I got to the doctor, she took my BP (118/67) and I explained how I was feeling. She checked the urinalysis that came back from the hospital and said there are no signs of infection so I should stop the antibiotic. Then she said, "I'm just going to listen to the baby's heartbeat because I'm neurotic" and used the doppler to do so.
As soon as she started, we both heard an irregular heartbeat. His heart rate is good (140) but obviously him having an extra heartbeat can't be good, right? She said that I'll probably have to see a pediatric cardiologist to have an echocardiogram done but she's not sure if it's possible because I'm so far along...that they're usually done around 24 weeks. She'll call me Monday.
I'm a mess. I've been hooked up to all sorts of monitors for the past 2 days and nothing was picked up so why now? I'm hoping that maybe the antibiotics that are affecting me might be causing it and since I'm not taking it anymore it just goes away but I just don't know. I'm trying to stay calm because I know me being stressed and upset isn't going to help him right now. I've had such an easy, normal pregnancy thus far and now it seems my world is crashing down ever since I hit 32 weeks

Does anyone have any experience with their baby having an irregular heartbeat in the womb?
@lissydee Do you have any possible words to relax me?
Sorry so long and thank you in advance for all your support.
