I am irrationally annoyed that DH asked me if I "bump all day" when he was home sick. He asked me this after I had cleaned the kitchen, made breakfast for everyone and dealt with a couple of important business phone calls. Then I sat down at the laptop to write a business email and he assumed I was bumping. I can't let it go. Sometimes the comments he makes seem to imply he thinks I mostly let DS watch TV while I bump all day. I wish I didn't feel that this is the way he imagines my day.
I have this ridiculous crib size duvet from when my mom lived in Germany. It is clearly a suffocation hazard but it makes my babies take crazy long naps. I let my son use it for the first time yesterday and he slept twice as long as usual.
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
Honest Co disposables are kinda cute. And they haven't leaked so far, unlike the Luvs that leaked all day yesterday. They are expensive (although cheaper that Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive) but I'm going to say they're worth it.
1. I left my phone at home today. I feel so naked and paranoid that I'm going to miss a call or text. It's kind of sad. And I won't have any entertainment when I'm pumping.
2. We have a wedding this weekend. We are dropping the two kids off at my parents Friday night and then we will be checking into a hotel Saturday. I have been counting down the days that we will be completely child free for a night.
3. I'm seriously debating only drinking beer at the wedding, just so that I don't have any issues and get a good night sleep. Since the second pregnancy I haven't been able to drink red wine (beyond one glass in a night) without my stomach getting upset. And mixed drinks are a no-go. I could only have 2 without having a hang over the next morning.
I may have cried a little bit last night after I told mh I was lonely (he was downstairs, I was upstairs in our room) and he slept down on the couch anyway.
I woke up at 6something (normal time) to take ds1 to school but dh offered to take him since I "didn't get to bed until late last night" - was bumping/Facebooking - but I let him take ds1 to school anyway and crawled back in bed for an extra 2 hours of laziness.

On another board someone asked if a tanning bed would work to sun her diapers......my first thought was "at least she asked first." My second thought was "what is she thinking?"

I use a disposable straw every single day. And I try to match my straw to my outfit. I do have some stainless steel straws on the way with my back ordered bb tie dye though!

This is perfect, because stainless steel would match much better IMO.

I seriously feel like such a failure as a mother right now to my DD. I was just starting to get used to 2 kids when I got knocked down by this mastitis and now thrush. I am so exhausted, I feel like I'm back to square one. I just wasn't prepared for how hard this was going to be. Thank God she is so self-sufficient. She is basically doing everything for herself right now and I feel like such a slacker.
I used to be able to manage so many things at once...two kids is just so much harder than I thought it would be.

I know, right? But if I have to carry it around all day, I want it to look nice.
ITK how come your pics never work on my phone?

Idk.......It's more of the why spend money and use electricity to sun diapers when sunshine is free....in addition to the whole is it safe for the diapers....(waterproofing damage and fading) and is it a fire hazard questions.
Fwiw, the other board members did recommend that she put her diapers on the dashboard of her car to sun if she has no other place to sun them instead of attempting the tanning bed. (Owned by a friend's tanning salon I think)

I had a friend watch H while I went to the dentist this morning. I dropped him off an hour before the 9am appointment, because traffic might'vepossibly been bad.
But it wasn't. And I just read my book in the waiting room. For twenty minutes. I loved it.
Of course, if you hadn't dropped him off so early traffic would have been a bear and you would have been late.....so your way was definitely smarter.

DS has been in sposies the past few weeks because with my morning sickness I cannot handle his poop, and spending even another second with it was killing me. I was literally going to be puking into the toilet as I sprayed them. Hopefully I only have a few more weeks of ms!

I went through that exact same thing. It got better. Hugs!
Hugs, @Amores0121! You are a great mom -- this is just a rough patch! I feel your pain with adjusting to two kids and all of the physical setbacks. N is pretty good about entertaining himself as long as I acknowledge him from the chair where I am inevitably stuck under a nursing/sleeping/fussing baby. Yesterday he entertained himself so well that while I was changing L's diaper, N managed to pull the pop top off of my soda can. Yikes!!! I feel like we're going to wind up with a lot more bumps and bruises now that there are two of them. On the upside, thankfully the thrush meds are starting to kick in for me, and I'm feeling a lot better today. Hopefully yours will help soon, too. Are you able to get out and about at all? Wednesday afternoon I took the boys to visit a friend for her birthday. Two other friends of ours came along, and they helped me entertain N and held the baby. It was a nice break!
@Amores0121 Just wanted to offer some internet ((hugs)). You're doing great! Remember it's a transition for you and your daughter. I promise it does get easier. If I remember right your daughter is older...7 ish? My DS1 was almost 7 when DS2 was born. I went from doing almost all his care (story reading, lunch packing, owie kissing, bedtime routine, etc.) To almost none. Some of it DH picked up, some of it DS1 actually matured and started doing on his own. That was hard for me at first, but now it's great. DS1 has learned some life skills, and I got some free time. Also being a big brother had been awesome for his self-esteem. I hope you see similar results over the next year from your daughter!!
@unaveragejane Thanks for the support. I'm glad your meds are working for you. My breast is still sore from the mastitis and no one can seem to figure out why. I'm still having the shooting pains in the nipple and breast, though not as much. I'm going to try to get into a breastfeeding clinic next week and hopefully see someone that actually knows something about breastfeeding. The good news is my U/S showed no abcess! MH and I are actually going out to dinner tonight and my dad is coming to watch the kids so that will be a nice break.

SAK, you jerk! Does it help if I admit that I'm jealous of you for having a trusted person to keep your kids?
This totally! Yes I love being a mostly SAHM but seriously, I would give anything for some family nearby for a break once in awhile, or so I could go to my OB appts by myself...
