Good. I am glad they are jumping on these claims. Oils don't cure medical conditions and too many stupid people spend a fortune thinking they do.

Yes, but they make the claims through testimonials from users or sales people. So, the company itself isn't claiming that if you drink this drink you'll magically be cured, but their sales teams are out there sharing these claims like crazy.

Have you guys read about the people claiming cinnamon oil can protect you from Ebola?? I admit that a friend gave me some EOs to use and I have found them useful for some things. Headache/tension relief, etc. So I do think they have their use, but to think they can cure diseases is just endangering public health. The same friend who turnd me onto oils is insisting her dad can beat his cancer with oils

I use EOs for different things, but they are not a replacement of medical care. I'm glad action is being taken.

My mil gave some to DH after he had surgery to repair his jaw that had been broken in two places. She it might help if he didn't want to take his pain meds... Yeah ok.

It will never make sense to me. So many anti-vaxxers claim that it's a myth that vaccines eradicated diseases. But they can't seem to explain how vaccines were invented, diseases were eradicated, people stopped vaxxing, diseases started coming back. So if it wasn't vaccines..explain it! And they never can.

That company is THE WORST on their claims to cure EVERY FREAK'N THING with a little protein powder and stimulants (notice how nowhere they post the ingredients in their stuff - that means you likely can't pass your drug testing for PED's!

I have several super crunchy friends that sell them and they are CRAZY! They are the ones who don't vax, homeschool, grow everything they eat, and only treat sickness with EO!
They are insane!
I have used a few essential oils for years, way before all this EO craze but no way in hell am I treating actual sickness with it! I use it to clean and put it in the kids humidifier at night or when they are fighting a cold.
These magical "peace and calming" blends and all the other crap is insane. Please do not treat your depression or your kids ADHD with a freaking oil.

I live in a really crunchy area. It scares me how many people think that way around here.

Based on the coffee and our love of Dutch Bros., I would say that we are probably from the same area. :-) And it's funny because my mom is not crunchy AT ALL, but is convinced that the government, "big pharma", and doctors are all in cahoots. We have had to have the agree to disagree more times than I can count.

Nope. Like I said, I've found relief with oils for headaches, relaxation etc. but I don't try to treat illness with them.

I use and sell doTerra but never make those kinds of claims. My DS has health problems and his meds are always important. I use the oils to help him get over colds, breathe better ( all natural like Vicks), help keep germs out of our home and him ( on guard ) , and diffuse them for many reasons.
