N14 Fantasy Football Week 4

I figured I would start the thread this week because I want to remind everyone of bye weeks. We have a shortage of available players to add/drop when needed (quarterbacks!!). That being said, I would check it out and see what's going on early. There is always the possibility of working out a trade between teams!!

Just wanted to say that being a pregnant football fan is hard! I'm taking these 49ers losses WAY too seriously.

On that note, they better effing win this weekend! X(

Ugh. I know! My starter QB is on a bye and my bench QB broke his foot. Tried to get the second string filling in for him but was beat to it in waivers. Luckily I found a replacement -- he's probably awful but at least he'll be on the field. Better than nothing. This week is going to be a disaster for me!

@lizzielu82 - LOL. I can't remember which board it was on -- I think maybe April or May -- but someone posted how hard it was to watch football because it stresses her out and you're not supposed to be stressed out while you're pregnant.

Oh, those crazy first trimester worries.

Here we are in the third tri yelling at the TV and throwing things. Our poor babies!

I actually went to the first 49ers home game at their new stadium (where they lost). It was so stressful just being there - from the heat to the crowds and it took an hour to even get inside past all the lines - then to lose on top of it all I was just completely done.

I had an OB appointment the following day and I told her all this - she agreed that it sounded very stressful. At the same time, she was very pleased at how well my body had handled all the stress from the game. Mini win I guess?

Either way, emotions seem to be much more powerful now - I need to figure out a better way to deal!

Super jealous you went to first game!! Not sure if I mentioned this but during that game my 1.5 year old daughter learned how to say GO NINERS! And I learned how to say "Oh my goodness" instead of What the FUCK was that Kaepernick!!!???!!!"

My back up qb is Michael vick, and I was beat in the waivers too. But thank god my bye week isn't until 11 I think. It will be a sad week with no Seahawks game though!

I was asking DH last night if he thought I could watch football while in labor of I happen to go into labor on a Monday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday. I wonder what the hospital would say about that... Personally as loNg as it is not the Packers it has a calming effect and sil definately give me something else to focus on.

@lizzielu82 She repeats EVERYTHING so I've learned to be very careful!! Funny thing was when we were watching the NY Giants game this past weekend she was yelling GO NINERS! LOL! It was so cute I didn't even take time to explain the difference.

You do have both of your quarterbacks on a bye at the same time. Let me know if you're interested in a RB...I would love Kirk Cousins.

Don't worry @tarynleann !! Everyone hoarding QB's and other positions will be forced to release them as they need to pick up players to cover their bye weeks. Just make sure to watch the available players as the weeks go on. We can also trade players amongst ourselves.

Also was just organizing my team and found that 2 of my bench players aren't even playing for anybody. Got to love pregnancy brain

Crap, I thought I had checked the bye week situation. Fab. I'm hoping SD ends up using Oliver as their replacement for Woodhead so I'm holding out on RBs, he might be worth something later.

I'd be in the market for a WR though.

Okay Yeah, I'm in need of a WR too...and the hunt continues!

Edit: At this point, I can only part ways with Kenny Stills from New Orleans. I have a bye conflict with him!

THIS. I must be allowed to have football on. Not that I think Lil Miss will arrive on her due date, but should she decide to arrive on Thanksgiving, this mama needs to watch the Bears/Lions game.

This week is going to be brutal in fantasy. I play in 2 leagues and am undefeated in the other, but half my team is on bye, so I might be looking at my first loss, which I can see taking very hard.

This weekend is also the first Bears/Packers game of the season. DH and I are going to watch it in a public place, so that the trash talking doesn't get too out of hand.

I also definitely need to learn to say things like, "oh my goodness, what was that", instead of things like "FUCK CUTLER DO SOMETHING". I love football season so much. Best time of year.

Yeah, put me on team "better have the football on" or they will have an angry pregnant lady on their hands. I'm kind of hoping that we get to come home on a Sunday so that Emily can wear the Bears outfit that I got her! I think it would be cute with white leggings and some long sleeves underneath. Eeek!

I know that I am not in your fantasy league, but I had DD on a Saturday. I had football on the TV all day long. She was born right after the Nebraska game. DH was glad that she waited until it was over.

@jleitao1-how do we go about making trades between ourselves???? ...and is there a 'max trade' amount?! Auto pick totally F'ed me over and I've done lots of waivers (or whatever...) to get different players at the beginning of the season....and now I'm sitting with with yet another crappy week, thanks to all the byes.

By the way...I know you're all super jealous that I currently hold the title of 'LAST PLACE'.

I was induced with my oldest on a Monday in September, and I had the football game on. Of course, I was totally pissed by the end since not only did the Cowboys win, but my fantasy team lost. Then, when I had my youngest, it happened to be the same day the Eagles signed Chip Kelly, so I just watched the coverage of that on ESPN the whole time I was in labor.

Heads up, I am pretty sure your QB isn't starting this week, Jacksonville is starting Bortles. I don't want Cousins since he has the same bye as Rivers and I see you do have some decent WR options if you're willing to trade...

Also to whoever has Antonio Gates is going to have a crazy good week.

Jacksonville better be starting Bortles. Or else I am really effed.

But basically, you just go to the team that you want the player from and click the "Create Trade" button that is there.

WOW LOVE THIS!!!!!! I have been looking for some Colts stuff for our LO. She will be here by the time the Colts play the Patriots and of course she has to help me root for my boys in blue. (I won't let her dad put her in any patriots garbage)

@econosaurus--thanks for the heads up! Yeah, my QB situation took a turn for the worst in week 2. LOL I picked up my 'stellar starter' out of sheer desperation! I do have a couple good WR (my only saving grace!)...and I think I would willing to make a trade!!!

This is me! I was doing the happy dance! The second half was pretty uneventful. The week is early, you have a really good team! My husband was looking at our matchup and was amazed we have such good lineups when there are 20 teams in our league.

@jleitao - I remembered that you'd said you were Jenna but I couldn't find the post. I was wondering!! Yeah I don't think either of our scores changed much in the second half but still - WTF, Desean Jackson - NINE TENTHS of a point? Grr.

@absolutelymaybe - my husband benched Donnell last minute and played Niles Paul (who got KTFO mid game and is now out with a concussion) He was so pissed!! He's up against his best friend this week and they are so competitive, so it was pretty entertaining to watch.

Needless to say when I realized that @jleitao1 had Donnell and I was getting smoked in the first freaking quarter of the first game of the week, I didn't get much sympathy

@scarlet3egonias I got married in June & haven't changed my bump name! Sorry for the confusion!

My DH had Cousins in on his league and was not very happy about that game at all. It wasn't helping that I cheered every time he threw an interception because the Giants would be getting the ball back. Whoops!
