FFFC

Figured I would get Friday started off early. Sorry there is no nifty gif for the thread.

  • Spending the day resting at the hotel feels like a waste of vacation/research time. I know it is necessary but still feels like I am missing out. Got the Bump and a bunch of music videos from 80s/90s music videos from chic flicks to keep me busy.

  • I am crying about everything it's like having the mother load of pms. I cried watching Dr. Phil, because I failed my 1 hour glocouse and because DD was driving me crazy last night. I am so over this super sensitive mood!

Also DD is off school today we usually limited ipad time. I am so wiped out that she has been on for an hour already and has only been awake an hour and a half!
  • I feel like such a hermit lately bc once I'm at home and on my couch, I just don't want to do anything at all... which is a hard excuse to give. So I didn't hang out with some people last night bc one of the girls bugs me SO much and I just didn't wanna deal with it. I made up an excuse/lied. Now the one annoying chick wants just the 2 of us to get together tonight. I'm out of excuses :( I' don't feel I can play the pregnancy card with this one either bc she's been TTC for a few years so I'd be an extra crappy person if I made something up. I should've just sucked it up and gone last night. On the plus side, I finally FINALLY pooped more than a few deer turds. I was starting to think those stool softeners were useless.

I've thought of this every time in the shower (where I'm still using soap out of habit).

Yeah, sorry... Soap here. All day. Every day. It would skeeze me to know I hadn't "washed" (just rinsed) there... FWIW, I use Dove Sensitive because my skin is stupid in general.
I've been using the same soap since I've been pregnant. I love the smell of it and it just seems to work.
I use all the soap. I use natural soap though... that counts for something right?

  • I don't scrub my vagina/vulva or nipples with soap, but what about the residual soap that runs down from cleaning my neck/chest?  I feel like it's hard to avoid getting any soap on my nipples when I'm cleaning the rest of my body.

Also, I have no idea what thread this is from or where everyone learned it.

When did this happen? I'm a soap girl. Not anything special, just soap. Especially since I'm not shaving regularly, I might switch to shampoo and conditioner. At least keep it silky smooth.

I'm not supposed to use soap on my nether regions?!

I think if you aren't using soap, your next Flame Free Friday is going to be confessing your funkiness down there. Ewwwww!!

  • I don't use soap on my breasteses when breast feeding because my LC said to only wash with water. When breast feeding, soap removes the oils that help protect your nipples and does the double whammy of removing your scent that the baby is smelling for AND imparting perfumes/oils onto your skin that confuses the baby's sense of smell when he/she is rooting around.

But yeah, vag cleaning is always done with soap in my house.

  • 1. I still haven't done anything to prepare for this baby. And I don't feel bad about it.

    2. My friend is giving me the dreaded "sprinkle" shower. I protested for months and she promised she would make it clear there will be no gifts, but a donation fund for an Ergo. I know everybody will end up bringing a gift and I kind of hate it. FWP.

So yesterday I got a large pizza hut (don't judge) pizza that I planned on having for dinner last night and tonight (1/2 a night). My husband is on this diet which is kind of like neutra system where you have set meals for the day, but it's local, so I thought my pizza was safe. Wrong. He went and took a piece! When he told me, I may have let out a loud "NOOOOOOOOOO! STAY AWAY FROM MY PIZZA!!!!!!!!" like a pizza monster. His reaction was "really?". Um, yes really. I had plans for that pizza! If he took more than 1 piece he owes me another pizza.

Buahahaha! I do this all the time! I was really upset I didn't get 2 ranches yesterday to go with our pizza (must have been a pizza kind of night) and that meant I had to share my ranch with him. Ugh. And when he asks for a bite of my cookie or ice cream I say HELL NO get away from me.

You also aren't going to see medical professionals using nasty used paper towels. Because, you know, they're preused.
I don't reuse them to dry my hands, but to wipe down the greasy stove, spills off the floor, or clean up cat puke. But then, I wouldn't use a cloth towel in those situations most likely anyway.

Yep, I think I was the first one to mention not washing your boob with soap in the cracking nipples thread and what @bowlwoman said is the same I was told. I just kept not washing them after my first was born. Obviously there is some soap run off from washing other areas, but I never purposefully wash my breasts.

I guess that's my confession of the day- dirty pillows over here!

I phantom pooped. I woke up this morning and peed immediately like usually. When I wipe there was a ton of poop. I didn't feel myself poop and there wasn't poop on my underwear like I sharted- but my butt is kinda raw like it had poop on it. The whole situation confuses me but after my gas yesterday I can't say I'm terribly surprised. Life's mysteries. You're welcome for a poop confession before 8a.
Someone posted the GIF of a "I feel like I am wiping a marker" and I really couldn't stop laughing after I saw it and I went to poop. It made my night a little better.

I'm kind of confused as to why I'm being questioned for following a cleaning protocol my doctor told me to do to ensure that my skin is prepped for medical testing. Wash your hands, dry thoroughly with a paper towel, then test. I was just mentioning that because I am being forced to use 4-5 times as many paper towels during my bouts with GD than I do in my normal life, I tend to reuse/reduce/recycle them by drying them out and using them for other tasks.

Geesh, this is the opposite of the newbs. Instead of asking Internet strangers for medical advice, internet strangers are telling me that my medically mandated hand washing protocol should change.
